ejikeme:More secured than using your ATM card that can be stolen or cloned. With this, you only need to scan the bar code on your phone and authenticate the transaction with your fingerprint. Except they cut off your finger and steal your phone before anyone can successfully withdraw your cash of which nobody can walk up to the ATM with stolen finger to withdraw cash in the present of everyone and securities in the ATM |
Bitcoin appears to have finally broken out of the period of consolidation that has played out over the last week, as mentioned in a previous BTC analysis. Traders question the sustainability of this recent breakout as volume levels remain low. BITCOIN HOURLY CHART ANALYSIS XBT1H On the 1 hour chart for XBT/USD, we can see the attempted breakout as the current market price breaches through the overhead resistance forming a clear asymmetrical triangle. It’s important to note that volume has remained fairly low throughout this attempted breakout so a failure to gain or re-test of $9,600 is likely. There’s a lot of resting buying orders in the market between $9,600 and $$9,130 meaning a significant amount of selling pressure from bears would be needed in order for levels to break below this market range. RSI has been clearly ascending over the last 48 hours which could be a bullish sign or a step towards bearish divergence. We know if RSI stays above 60.00 over the next few days that bulls are in control and a new, more sustainable, uptrend could result from the asymmetrical triangle bullish breakout. However, is RSI drops below this level then it’s likely that momentum will shift back towards 30.00 – 20.00 resulting in a further downside movement. RSI is often overlooked or over-complicated. Key support lies between $9,130 and $8,820. Key meaning if this level is broken to the downside the short-term trend and consensus will no longer be bullish, and a return back to POC around $7,900 on the higher time frames would be a realistic pull-back target. More information on this can be found in a previous analysis on BTC. BITCOIN DAILY CHART xbt1d On the 1 day chart for XBT/USD, we can see RSI sitting just above 40.00 with some clear sideways development since the drop at the end of June. This, in conjunction with the fact the POC (Point of Control) on the daily sits at $11,300 and $7,700 on the 4 Hour chart, shows that BTC is in a period of consolidation and could be leading up towards another big move. As mentioned above, the short-term trend remains bullish until $8,800 is broken. 15 EMA and 50 MA are currently touching each other for the first time in months, which again is a clear sign of consolidation ahead of a big move as the current market price trades just a few % below each moving averages price level. Key support levels to look out for are $9,130, $8,800, $8,100, $7,500 if BTC decides to drop as a result of this period of consolidation.

FinTech startup Flutterwave is teaming up with Alipay to offer digital payments between Alipay and African merchants. Founded in Nigeria, Flutterwave is a a payments API that makes it easier for banks and businesses to process payments across Africa. “We’ve managed to connect African countries…to each other, so it was about time we connected Africa to the world. We started with the U.S. … but you can’t connect Africa to the world without China,” the company said in a press release. The integration with Alipay gives Flutterwave’s more than 60,000 merchants access to over 1 billion Alipay users. Flutterwave will earn revenue by charging its usual 2.8 percent on international transactions. “This means that all our merchants can accept or install Alipay as a payment type to accept payments from its billion users,” Flutterwave CEO Olugbenga Agboola told reporters. “There’s a lot of trade between Africa and China, and this integration makes it easier for African merchants to accept Chinese customer payments.” The partnership is the result of Agboola’s acceptance in Alibaba’s Africa eFounders Fellowship. “Because of that I was in China to do meetings with Jack Ma, and the only ask I had from that trip is ‘I want to be the Africa payment infrastructure that plugs directly into Alipay,’ ” Agboola explained. Last year Flutterwave inked a deal with Flywire, a provider of global payment and receivables solutions for education, healthcare, and business to make it easier for banks and businesses to process payments across Africa. “Nigeria can be a very complex foreign exchange environment,” Mike Massaro, CEO at Flywire, said at the time. “Together with Flutterwave, we’re removing a lot of that complexity and providing a more seamless payment experience for international students, patients, and businesses. Nigerians will now have the convenience of being able to make digital, cross-border payments in their local currency, through eBank transfers, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments. Our partnership will also streamline the reconciliation of these payments on the receiving end for schools, hospitals and businesses.” https://www.pymnts.com/news/mobile-payments/2019/flutterwave-teams-with-alipay-to-enable-china-africa-transactions/amp/

ATM cards may soon be a thing of the past for Singapore’s digital natives with the launch of QR code withdrawals here. Singapore’s OCBC Bank said on Wednesday (July 31) that it has become the first bank here to allow its customers to withdraw money from its ATMs just by scanning a QR code in the user’s Pay Anyone app. The transaction will then be verified via fingerprint, faceprint or by entering the user’s mobile banking login details. In a statement, OCBC said the new implementation will allow transactions to be cut by almost half, from 80 secs to 45 secs. The service is available on all OCBC Bank ATMs except 22 new ATMs which accept both coin and cash deposits, the bank added. QR code withdrawals are also touted as being more secure because biometric authentication is “a more robust security feature than a PIN number that can be revealed or stolen”. OCBC added that ATM cards can be skimmed by criminals, whereas access to a bank customer’s banking app can be barred when the mobile device becomes lost or stolen. Aditya Gupta, OCBC Bank’s head of digital business in Singapore and Malaysia, said the new feature – built by an in-house team in less than five months – could “move the needle in making QR code payments mainstream in Singapore”. “As we accelerate our drive to go cashless, we also recognise that ATMs are still an essential and frequently used touchpoint for our customers. Increasingly, more of these customers are getting familiar with and scanning QR codes to pay, and we wanted to bring them the same ease, speed and security when they get cash at our ATMs,” he said. To make a QR code cash withdrawal, customers have to select the option to “Withdraw cash with OCBC Pay Anyone” on the ATM home screen. With the app, the user then needs to scan the QR code which appears in the centre of the screen. A menu of cash withdrawal amounts will then appear on the app. Customers with multiple accounts can choose the bank account to withdraw from. https://www.businessinsider.sg/goodbye-atm-card-ocbc-now-allows-customers-to-withdraw-money-by-qr-code/amp/
