Content creation is about fabu (a street slang for embellishment). Though as it is been said that in every rumour, there is always an atom of truth. I am not saying that it doesn't happen because in the words of NSPPDians whatever omo-onile hasn't done on land/house matters, does not existI remember in 2010/2011/2012 when a Church Organization wanted to establish a branch of their school in Ibadan; the land was defective and the structure put on the land was very very bad. The GO was passing one day and decided to branch the school only to discover the Structural defects. The school was pulled down and on that location now is the Circular Ring Road (at Ife-Ibadan Expressway axis) Gerrard59: This is about fake land, not a house sold by someone who isn't the owner. Others have stated that Omonilelawyer comes across as a mendacious content creator. The question is: why does he create unbelievable content simply for content creation? |

INEC has constitutional right to schedule and give election guidelines based on their capability. They can even decide to hold all election one day if they wish. That right can't be taken from them in the name of constitution amendment. Don't mind those insisting that elections should be done in a day. I could remember 2003 elections, up till 2am, elections were still conducted and counting went as far as the 4th day Also, forcing INEC to conduct Elections on the same day removes their Independence |

Ruke1990: Maybe before spending heavily to upgrade a woman (girlfriend or wife), we may need to serve them agreement papers to ensure the marriage or relationship lasts atleast 5 to 10 years after sponsorship, otherwise they refund in full the entire cash spent plus 9$ per year interest before breakup/divorce can be served. Every woman must be made to sign such documents before they get a dime from their boyfriend/husband for their upgrade. Universities like ABUAD serve such paper before agreeing to sponsor their staff abroad for further studies. Companies abroad serve same paper before sponsoring a candidate to work abroad (especially those Nclex sponsoring agencies for nurses). Thesame idea must be brought home and applied to marriages. You mustn't confer blind trust on a woman. There is a difference between blind trust and earned trust
This is one area that underscore the lack of creativity amongst black race. The whites invented pre-nuptial to solve their own problems of being taken advantage of. Blacks sit idle, lament and are unable to do something creative to solve this sponsorship scam problem that pervades the nigerian society I think I will buy the idea of the Pre-Nup walahi |

ravensckar: I confide in my friends any day any time twice on Monday.
They can relate and they can be less judgemental and together we can find a way forward.
But you see my parents (my dad especially), he can be very judgemental and be sure he will cast you later. Somebody that once helped me treat a stubborn gonorrhea lasan, all his public sermons for that week was about shunning adultery. He repeated the sermon to the extent that everyone knew something was up.
My mama own be sey after she don comfort you, she'll use that thing to be blackmailing you. You'll hear stuff like when you were sacked from work and you were penniless, shebi I was there for you. All your useless girlfriends ran away. If you don't give me what I asked for, I'll tell the whole world how I was there for you and how you didn't want to take care of me now that you've bounced back. I'll just be like; "O.K, I surrender".
As for my wife, she'll stay with you o, she'll comfort you but she'll be reminding you twice every day of how she stood by you. She won't blackmail you, but she'll never stop singing it to your ears how she's a good wife and your everything. She'll bore you to death with the reminder.
But my friends are the real deal! Piam! Conference call among the four of us. They will first of all laugh to their hearts delight before comforting you. In the process of making jest of you, you'll loosen up. They are the least of the evils (in a good way). But you see that laughter and jest, you can't escape it. One of us bought a problematic car (NISSAN PATHFINDER), we nicknamed him PATHFINDER and made jest of him until he sold the car. Even now, we still call him PATHFINDER to annoy him. Honestly. I crave for such friends My creator, pls give me quality friends that we would laugh, gist, share ideas, pains and joyous moments without crucifying each other ISEEEEEEEE |

press9jatv: No one has the right to ask an aspirant not to vote or be voted for. Let everyone exercise their franchise freely and willingly.
Do you even realize that the alleged “Oyo n pe o” has two key strengths that are vital to winning elections?
1. Media – You dare not underrate this man’s local audience; the majority of them have voter’s cards. 2. Emotional manipulation – He knows how to play on people’s emotions to claim victimhood and/or earn undeserved sympathy. He has done it several times, and it has worked for him.
The third strength though I am unsure of its veracity is the ‘power of incumbency’. Whatever game this is, the Agodi Landlord is at the center of the pitch, blowing the whistle.
However, it would be a great shame to all technocrats, learned individuals, and well-to-do politicians in Oyo State if this nightmare (I hesitate to call it a dream) were to become reality.
A philosopher once said, “If you refuse to lead, you may be led by fools.” I mean no disrespect to anyone; I merely quoted a great philosopher. I shall be watching from this angle. God bless you sir Elections is not based on sentiments. He might be popular on the streets, known by the people and have a cult-like following. But does he has the 20/25bn Naira to spend (in Ali Baba's words) to enter Agodi House or will the Oyo North/Central Senatorial District Coalition fold their hands to allow another Ibadan boy to be their Governor again |

Love and light Sometimes I ask myself: when dem talk leaders of tomorrow, is it this person I quoted will count him/herself as one 1. When Apapa and Abure fiasco happened, what did Peter Obi do NOTHING2. When the elected officials from Labour Party were sworn in, did he advocate (through the chairman of the party) for periodic meeting with them to kinda refresh them on their core mission, mandate and values 3. When the wind of defections started blowing, what actions did Peter Obi as a National Leader of a Party and Obidient Movement undertook to reach out to members to synergize with them to stem the tide I am not a politician neither am I a BATIST, so I will appreciate a reasonable discourse |

LawWithEbele: Her Name Was on the Land Documents... But the Court Declared Her Husband The owner of The Land
She had the Certificate of Occupancy in her name. She believed the land in Abuja was hers. But when the marriage ended, the court said, “No, it belongs to him.”
This is not fiction. It happened in the real case of Madu v. Madu [2002] 13 NWLR (Pt. 783) 231.
Here’s what you should know:
Grace Madu and her husband had a customary marriage. She applied for land, and the allocation was made in her name. But when things fell apart and she took the matter to court, claiming the land as hers...
She lost. Why? Because the court discovered:
The husband paid for the land.
He processed the allocation.
He collected the certificate.
He developed the property and rented it out.
She couldn’t prove any financial contribution.
The court applied the principle of resulting trust (A resulting trust happens when one person pays for a property but puts it in another person’s name, and the law assumes it wasn’t a gift. So, the person holding the title is just keeping it in trust for the real owner.), saying the name on the Certificate of Occupancy doesn’t automatically mean ownership, especially when someone else bore the financial burden.
What You Must Learn from This:
1. Your name on the document doesn’t guarantee ownership.Equity may favor the person who paid, not the person named.
2. Always document your contributions. If you helped pay for a property, protect your interest legally. Don’t rely on love or promises.
3. Understand resulting trust. If you’re only the ‘name’ on the land, and not the person who paid, you may be holding it in trust.
Too many women lose everything when marriages fail. Not because they did anything wrong, but because they didn’t understand the legal consequences of ownership and documentation.
Don’t wait for heartbreak before protecting your rights.
I am Ebelechukwu Aroh-Nwoka, your family and property lawyer. I help you use the law to protect what matters most.
Friends, have you ever contributed to a property that wasn’t in your name? What happened? Share your experience, someone needs to learn from it.

hedonido: Why should civil servants watch his content? Why should they want to afford luxury cars?
In which country of the world does government workers afford luxury cars - by the prevailing localized understandings of it? Can civil servants in the UK afford Bentleys or Aston Martins? Or do civil servants in Italy drive Lamborghinis or Ferraris?
This country is very disheartening. Full of very irritating, entitled dunderheads. To think that the vast majority of the so-called civil servants at all levels ( at least 90%) are merit-less misfits who got their jobs through nepotism and corruption, and are even redundant and incompetent at it, yet they feel so entitled and want to live luxury lives for merely being absolute wastes of space!
Besides, the so called warning by the NOA is not even worth the paper it was printed on. What sort of institutional idiocy is this, to purport to enforce subjective 'morals' on a private individual who has committed absolutely no crime? Shouldn't they have something more impactful or meaningful to focus on? Alas, of course the Nigerian body of civil servants prefer to be utterly useless. Always prioritizing low hanging fruits and window dressing activities rather than substantive issues. Your response reeks of abysmal crass and nepotistic tendencies. If not for restraints that some Nigerians are putting to what they watch and digest, the get-rich syndrome is eating deep into the sane fabric that is still holding the country together |
