That is why it is good to target tech programs in Canada DLI schools that have co-op as part of their curriculum. I advise you look into getting Microsoft and/or AWS certificates related to Cloud, DevOps, Infra and Security, even AI sef. You can study on your own and then write the certification exams. Your profile then becomes more appealing to these companies you are targeting.

Thanks boss. I do have some certifications. The good thing is that my company back home in Nigeria turned my role to a remote one till December. So I need to get something between now and December.

AbelAbdul:
I asked ChatGPT to give me a list of tech and fintech companies in Ontario.

I went to each company's websites and search for openings then applied. Most job descriptions were full-time but I still applied. I got an offer with one and when I told them I was a student I can only do 24hr/week they said no problem.

There is another one when I did interview they said they needed a full-time employee.

Most of the jobs were in Toronto. One was even a remote but I need to visit to on-site at least once a week.

I used ChatGPT to finetune my resume to match every job role I applied for.

Use ChatGPT

PS: Please don't send me a private message because I will not reply. And if anyone message you claiming to be me expose the person.

PPS: Use ChatGPT for everything.

Thanks Chief. I really appreciate.

If you can, by all means legally, try and come to Canada. There are a lot of opportunities here. I am already benefiting from the Canadian system.
I hope Nigeria gets to this point soonest.

I was advised to get a Canadian work experience as it would help me in a long run. Normally, I didn't intend working while schooling since the remote job I am doing is already tasking couple with school activities.

But because I need the Canadian work experience, na so I started submitting my resume on company websites.

I have applied to like 20 companies and got 3 offers, 1 company yet to make final decision and about 6 rejections. All these happen in the space of one week plus. I dedicated last week for submitting resume.

I did physical interview with 2 companies (tech) and the rest were online interviews.

I will be assuming work on Monday with one of the company still a tech company.

One company just sent me a email to submit a couple of documents for background checks.

The first stages of most of the interviews were done by AI. AI was my interviewer.

ChatGPT has really helped me o. People said go for career coaching even there is a group in my school where you are been taught how to write resume, prepare for interview and all that.

I boycott the group and ChatGPt has always been my go to resource.

Modified:
For those that will come here to ask me why i used 'assuming' work on Monday instead of 'resuming' work on Monday. Please go check the meaning of those two words and when to use them in a sentence.

Boss Good Morning,

Hope you’re having a great day! I will appreciate if you might be open to sharing some advice on navigating the Canadian tech job market. I moved to Toronto in September and have been actively targeting Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Cloud Security roles.

One major hurdle I’m running into is work eligibility alignment: most openings are for full-time roles, while the part-time or entry-level positions often strictly require enrollment in a formal co-op program. Given your experience here, I’d love to hear how you approached your job search or if you have any tips on breaking through these barriers. Thanks so much for your time

Mybankstatement ticket usually comes as a 1-page document with an ID and a password. The embassy will be able to access the bank statement.

Please use it like that

thanks for the response.

PhdCloakRoom:
All accredited financial institutions in Nigeria has different formats and terms or connotations they are using to communicate with embassies. Go back to your bank and show them your own copy and if they tell you that it has no error then you have no cause to worry.

thanks for the response.

Good evening, everyone. I got MYBank Statement (MBS) from First Bank on friday. The bank also emailed me a copy of the specific document sent directly to the embassy. However, I noticed that the transaction narrations has only numbers. You can't actually identify who transferred the funds based on those details. Is this the exact format the embassy receives? If so, what is the best way to explain and justify these transactions to the visa officer?

Very insightful thread.

Please does anyone have an Idea if Comparative Education Service, evaluates BCS Certificate in IT level 4 as a one year equivalent of Canada Degree? I made use of them while evaluating my BSC and will love to use them for my BCS certificate to reduce cost. Lastly, my high school certificate is WAEC GCE. When filling the express entry form, I am confused if I should fill it as a full time study or as part time and the number of years of study since I wrote the exam from September to November. I will really appreciate your feedback, thanks.

I will appreciate any response to this.

Create another profile. This time follow it carefully. Refer to the quoted post below for guide 👇

Thanks Chief!

Good day everyone, please I need some clarifications. I submitted my express entry application, and got an immediate response that I am not qualified for it. I also saw on my portal that my point is zero and the filled forms all indicated "Transmitted". Is this an auto generated response that will later change to reflect that I am eligible to be in the pool or I made some mistakes while filling my form? What am I expected to do in tackling this? I will be glad if I get a response. Thanks guys.

ezzylee:
Yes, to earn more points, you should evaluate both your BCS in IT certificate and your BSc degree. This will be considered as having two or more degrees, which would give higher points compared to evaluating just your BSc degree.

To your second question, I don't know about the role Monitoring and Evaluation, but NOC 21231 is the most appropriate for cloud engineering.

All the best.

Hello Chief, thanks so much for your response. I really appreciate.

Good day everyone,

My BSc certificate was evaluated by CES and I also passed the BCS Level 4 Certificate in IT. Do I need to have my BCS certificate in IT evaluated as well? Additionally, I have over four years of experience working as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer/Program Officer in the HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and STIs space. I also have almost two years of experience as a Cloud Engineer.

Will NOC 41404 suffice for my Monitoring and Evaluation/Program Officer role and will NOC 21231 be appropriate for my Cloud Engineering role? Looking forward to your replies. Thanks guys.

Good evening everyone, I will really appreciate if someone can provide more insight. Thanks

To me this is a very wrong move from BAT. I am sure we have other sound minds that can occupy the position.

Why Sanusi? The man accused of using his power to handover some banks to his friend back then.

Thank you o, my dad was working in the banking sector then and I was privy to how he handed I Intercontinental, Oceanic, Union bank and others to his friends based on him reforming those institutions which was the right thing to do then. He messed up when he handed it over to individuals who looted some of those banks. Tinubu should look for someone else Abeg, we have eminently qualified Nigerians.

Hello everyone, I got admitted to Fanshawe college and I am expected to pay 9k CAD in 30 days but on making enquiries at my bank, I was told that it will take an average of 3 months for my form A to go through. Please has anyone gone through the process and did the school grant a waiver regarding this? My program start date is January 2024. Thanks
