This over-reliance on crosses has its disadvantages too. I noticed in the last game many times when our wing players ignored opportunities for low cutbacks in favour of crosses to an over-marked Osimhen .

Please consider learning an online skill. Google "freelance remote jobs options", pick one that interests you, find resources on YouTube to learn it better and start applying for jobs online. In three to four months, you should start getting gigs.

Fine Highlights. Seeing the game yesterday, I must point out that the team have a decent bench with Divine Oliseh (#13), Ibrahim (#12) and Oyebanjo (#15) able to come in as subs and still make impact.

And again, Harcourt >>>> Nwosu. Best decision made at this tournament by Zubairu.

Suleyman Alabi (#18), the guy who set up Clinton Jephta's goal vs CIV was also quite impressive. Sabiru Ibrahim (#4) who starred vs CIV from the CDM role was injured so Alabi started in his place and acquiesced himself quite well vs Niger.

Highly cerebral Israel Ayuma (#10) and the Elkanemi lad, Nasiru Salihu (# have done good stepping up their plays but I still feel we need an upgrade especially in Salihu's role in that midfield starting XI. With that said, Salihu has done enough to show he's decent enough for the squad at least.

The CF role depth is interesting. #19 Arierhi Kparobo, #12 Ibrahim and #9 Charles Agada who hasn't even played a minute yet looks good to go.

Clinton Jephta of Enyimba continues to impress on the wings and his goals have all been well taken strikes. Deservedly Man Of the Match Yesterday.

This is the exact reason why I can't watch that rubbish we call U-20.

It's actually not an entirely bad idea if the shooting is limited to a few designated shooters who have orders to shoot from reasonable range (say 20-25 yards) and only in situations when the ball is optimally positioned and there are no good passing options available.

But if every player has the license to shoot from everywhere and everytime regardless of the availability of passing options and the player's shooting capabilities, there certainly is a problem.

I wonder what makes Nigerian age grade coaches believe so much in this shoot at sight policy. I remember the U-17 Coach did the same at the AFCON with Hope Linus squandering all our plays with aimless and useless long shots. Even the commentator got fed up with the nonsense at some point. We eventually lost that game to Burkina Faso.

I see it as a symptom of mental laziness and tactical ineptitude. Why take the pains to coach my team on how to break opponents' midfield and defense with sensible passes and player positioning, when they can just fire random shots from 50 yards out and pray for the best?

What a joke.

It seems the US has better talent than us.

The coach may have to review his shoot at sight policy.
