To critic food is a little different. You don't have to be able to cook food to appreciate it or have a refined pallet. It might actually be better if your don't know how to make the dish so biases about level of difficulty don't influence opinion of the actual dish.

That being said, I have no idea who that Opeyemi person is, but there are way too many food critics online who just try leverage their followings to extort for good reviews.

If you don't know how to cook the food you critic, how do u know how to judge d level of ingredients and spices. Some soups are best with plenty oil, some without oil vice-versa sweet or savory.
