Rickmann: Your write up actually makes sense but what i still don't get is why Niger is doing this with Russia when they also stand to gain so much from this project. Niger did not stop the project from going on,they did not cut diplomatic relationship with Nigeria, rather it's the other way round the NIgerian president went straight to sanction them he did not consider the relationship and the investment he has with them,Nigeria happened to be the only country that sanction NIger republic ,even US is still sending Aid to them. Your president acted in wisely. The only thing that is making the right up to you is because you're either pro-west or pro-tinubu. Let me ask you question can the entire Europe consume more energy than India, china and Saudi Arabia combine, just those 3 countries are about 3 billion in population ,china is considered as world factory for manufacturing of more than 80% of what humanity need they're all buying gas and oil from Russia so how does Nigerian gas pipe collapse Russian economy, Russia has more natural resources than entire Europe combine ,Even US us still buying uranium from Russia .they have alot of their things they cans export to survive. He said Wagner want occupy uranium site and start minning soon.till today we have not seen any evidence of them occupying any minning site in Africa. But US soldiers are currently occupying oil field in Syria they're extracting it,you can search Google. We have also seen pictures of US soldiers with bars of gold stolen from Iraq and Libya after their adventure but all those does not matter to ops He again said gas pipe to Europe will bet the life of west africans ,let me ask this like all those that have asked before me what has the cruise oil we have been selling done to US? For all those while we have been with west We have Cocoa in Africa some some of those farmers have never tasted what Chocolat taste like ,the west only comes to extract and go back with the raw materials . I'm not saying Russia or china are good or bad but I'm saying the west is bad for us since we have tested them for more than 50 years,we want to give china and Russia a chance , i know you want ask why are we changing slave masters ,yes we have to because we can't do it alone west will simply bomb you they way they did to Gaddafi for attempting to dump dollar but today Brazil has dump the dollar because they have Russian backing and so many other countries are also trading with their local currency. |

aybabz101: A lot of coups has been perpetrated in Nigeria with the citizens in full support and dancing on the streets......after few months, they will start to wail. Full crack-down on the media, no opposition, journalists deaths, no gathering of more than 20, atrocities by the army personnel etc. But y'all are happy that coup took place in Niger and some are praying for same to happen in Nigeria just because of hatred..... go and ask Malians and Guineans what they are facing now....
Hopefully, the Niger junta will come to a form of agreement....but military rule must be eradicated from Niger coz its gonna be one of the worst things to happen to Nigeria especially if this guy is sympathetic to this boko haram ideology.....
To the Russian sympathizers.....
The Russians, West and Chinese are here for their respective interests.....Just that Africans are so pathetic that the whole world is using their lands and destinies as playgrounds.....even Indians are colonizing us in our own land!.....
Wagner mercenaries are being paid in crude oil in Libya and paid in Gold in DRC..... if they come into Niger, they will be paid in Uranium and believe me, they wont let go of these assets.....at least not without a fight..... And from Niger, they will be tampering with our affairs here coz we are more tilted towards the west and these interference might be in form of funding radical sects.....!
One thing i know is that military in Niger must not stay coz i believe its a threat to Nigeria's security...... Wich security does NIgeria have even before their military? |

Niger republic is one of the poorest countries in Africa, and their hardship is even about to get worse since all the countries that offer them aids are turning their back on them.
The coupists really have nothing to offer. A democratically elected government would have been able to ease their hardship. The coupist instead would multiply it in several folds. ObaIgwe1: I doubt you know how poor the masses of Niger are, how they eat and live. Most of the people you called poor in Nigeria would be called rich in Niger especially the poor in southern Nigeria. Have you seen able bodied men and women begging to eat with their children on the street... That is very common in Niger.
In Nigeria at least we can insult our political leaders and protest and sometimes put pressure on them to do better... That privilege will be lost under military rule.
Building a dam and power station is not cheap. They couldn't afford it when all was well, certainly it will be more difficult for them to build under sanctions. And most loan giving countries and institution will avoid them like leprosy because they don't have the means of paying back.
I don't wish for military intervention from ECOWAS, but if Niger is left alone... under a year the people of Niger will beg ECOWAS to intervene. don't over estimate sanctions, even US though Russia was going crash in a very short time , Gaddafi developed Libya under heavy western sanction. For NIGER it's only NIGERIA and probably France that has sanction them sofar, they natural resources they rely on with a very small population. US is still sending aid to the country They're still in good terms with most of their neighborhood They have better food security than NIgeria |

I just watched a video on Al-Jazeera that interviewed Nigeriens traders. They said inflation has shot up like crazy, and it's going to get worse. Alot of them are stocking up for their own and their family personal consumption.
Niger republic is one of the poorest countries in Africa and it relies on 40% aid from other African countries, ECOWAS, and the west to finance its budget. Now that the 40% aid has been frozen, that's a big chunk of a country's budget. This honeymoon would soon be over and reality would set in that the military has nothing to offer except guns and bullets.
Good luck to the Nigeriens. 40% aids has not frozen US has not cut aid to NIGER ,sofar only NIGERIA and maybe France has placed sanction on the Country . |

XAUBulls: Back in the 1990s, a Nigerian-led ECOWAS intervention force successfully restored democracy by removing the irresponsible military coup plotters in Sierra Leone.
Most of those typing here and spreading hate messages on this thread and others are young and we're mostly not even born when Nigeria helped to restore democracy in Sierra Leone after that military coup. It was a clinical military operation by Nigerian troops who went with lightning speed into Freetown and got the coup plotters kicked out!
The same thing happened during the time of PMB when a Nigerian-led military forces moved in to Gambia to remove Yahya Jammeh of Gambia. It was Tinubu's private jet that was coincidentally used to fly Jammeh out into exile thereby saving Jammeh's ass from being whipped. you can't compare Jamey that lost election a military leader fully supported by his people. In the 90s NIgerian was not as corrupt as it's today that's why we could win Biafra ,back then you will see Generals leading war from the front like Russian army but today the story is different in Nigeria that's why it's taking is too long to fight Boko Haram that doesn't even have air support, bandits are having field day in sokoto. |

TheBillyonaire: Putting up a thousand drones on the sky of Niger and flooding the sky for just 5 minutes will be something. I imagine there will be massive vibration into their sky and their stray rains of bullets and mortars will kill a few of their people and put so much fear in their minds, and as soon as that is over, just 5 minutes after we hit their inventories and tanks and then the ground troop swoops into their tank farms and use IEDs to blow up their fuel supplies..
Let's start with that. Lets go to war for peace and respect. If we can fucck Niger and Mali up, we can keep our borders more secure by setting up Miltary bases on those locations against Boko. very poor strategy before you blow up their fuel source ,then go destroy tincan port |

Freedom of speech, religion and affiliation
Freedom to elect leaders by votes.
We don’t want to be Russians, Chinese or North Koreans, where the entire population is censored and living like prisoners!
Where you can be jailed for publicly practicing your religion, or killed for criticizing the government.
We don’t don’t want a nation where the government dictates which website citizens can access. We don’t want forced labour!
