They might not really have done any scrutiny! Such positions are just political! A lot of political fireworks take place underground and those who play better get appointed! It has little to do with competence!

Lol... I find this very funny... Politics you say?

Maybe you have forgotten that this guy and Wigwe are part, if not the key player of the Access Holdings...

Competence is one thing, and Experience is for sure another... It is cool to be competent, but never will competence rob shoulder with experience in a scheme of work. Experience will surely and definitely excel if that happens.

Have you even thought of the name, reputation, influence and authority this man will command? Compared to a newbie... Access will never jeopardize their standard all in the name of trial, you and I know how competitive this industry is here in Nigeria, most especially in the Forex trade.

I believe they went for the best bet.

How would you know that there are people who can outperform him if you refuse to give others the opportunity
This is why stagnation has been the order of the day in Nigeria! Always recycling those who never really made great impacts!

Congrats to him though

A position as sensitive as that isn't meant for trial, if at all you have to change someone in such position, he/she must be someone who really understands the structure and must have cimb the ladder of hierarchy to atleast a position that's 1 or 2 lesser in rank to that of the chairman, and I want to believe that the Access board has done maximum scrutiny and couldn't find someone worthy enough, reason why they had to go and call someone out of retirement to fill the vacuum.

It's no child's play, they know better than you do

Despite it's kinetic connotation, power is EXTREMELY stagnant. It's wield by the same small group of people over extended periods of time.

The CEO of 2002 is back as the Chairman of 2024.

The same thing is obtainable in politics and everywhere power is brokered. Same people control it.

The idea, of course, is that these people are MORE competent because of their experience. Nonsense!

There are ALWAYS people more competent that those who wield power. But the wielders of power hold it CAPTIVE. Never letting go. Turning the very force of nature into something stagnant to be used for their sole benefit.

Anyway, congratulations to him. But they should try to bring new people in. Stop trying to recapture the glory of days long gone.

It's actually not bad if you did well in a position, and after some years you are being beckoned on to take the leadership mantle again.

If it's your own company, would you have chosen a rookie over an experience person with a record of success to oversee a sensitive position like that?

Congrats to him

Someone will just come out of the blue moon to video you for the sake of content creating, that's not even the problem, majority of them will frame their victims up with untrue stories that are catchy just for click baits.

I'm in no way supporting them for beating him up till death, but I think there should be a law that prosecute anyone filming someone without the consent of that person, and also a more severe actions taking against those that attached false caption/storyline to such content.

You won't know how painful this is, until you are a victim.

RIP to the lost soul....

I stop wasting my pity on men like this long ago..

Doing too much for a girl that's not your wife is plainly stupidity... That girl in that video is only shedding crocodile tears, even if that guy eventually pardons her, she will still cheat on him with the other guy or someone else, it's just in their DNA....

Most of these simping guys spending so much on their girlfriend won't even do half of those things to their own biological mother and sisters. Rubbish!!!

We do not need to "hear from the man too", a Judge in a family court needs to hear him and get him to explain why his children, he had with the wife are sleeping rough on the streets.

Probably when those children become adults and have strained relationship with their frail and sickly father....we know who to blame.

Is like you don't know how some women are very crafty with the emotional blackmail game. Why didn't she go to her relatives, or report the husband to his own relatives... If she have relatives and they are here in Nigeria and no faraway African countries, and no one is willing to help her, that alone should tell you the kind of woman she is.

Learn to stop judging by one sided story

accept tinubu has failed in peace and leave Obi out of your misery.
Obi would have done better, you can take that to the bank.
He presented how he intends to go about it than the agbado whose only thoughts were it is his turn and shey na statistics we go chop'.
You are not intelligent at all

I have seen Tinubu government as a governor, I have heard and read about Obi as a governor, we all know what we have if we place this two people head to head, I know people like you will say Anambra can't be compared to Lagos in terms of revenue, lol... I could have choose to educate you on how we can compare their performance and also give you examples from developed countries, but you can't make a point without resorting to going verbally violent, and Moreover, that's not what we are talking about here for now.

Nigerian government is not theory based, it is 85% practical, so those things Obi were saying doesn't really work like that in Nigeria and you know that, people (Cabals) will frustrate his plans, there's no law in Nigeria cos of this people and Obi won't be able to tame them cos the system is corrupt.

Like I said, all these people are most likely same rogues, just that the level of corruption differs, some of them are just too extreme. They are all thieves. No saint among them

Politics / Re: South Africa Overtakes Nigeria As The Biggest Economy In Africa by Wawelexy(m): 6:20am On Mar 06
The fact is, I do not want Tinubu as the president, and i tried my best by convincing people around me not to vote for him.

But trust me, the situation on ground would have been more worse than this if Peter Obi had won. Not because he isn't competent or clueless, but because, the level of damage done to the nation's economy by the previous government will outweigh whatever strategy he might have planned to rule, let's go back and check his profile as the governor of Anambra state, what was the economy of the state during his tenor, the records are there, even if he will eventually get it right on the long run as the president of Nigeria, it will definitely no be in the first two years of his government.

My point is, we can't expect Tinubu to get it all right and keep the country sailing smoothly in just few months to his government, couple with the fact that the clueless Buhari did a great damage before he left. Even the so called developed countries we see as role models today, if you are very good at history, you will know there was a point in time when they all struggled with same issues Nigeria is currently battling, even worse..... Before a gold chain is being made, it has passed through intense burning furnace and lot of ironing hammering from the goldsmith.

Tinubu is no magician, and no man on earth can do what Nigeria citizens are requesting from him in a short period of time. We need patience, I believe things will turn around. If we are not biased, we will realise that he's been going for quite some strategic meeting with relevant people, which will eventually yield great results with time.

PS: Nigeria will take back it position from South Africa in no time, that margin is very low, and I don't think they have what will keep them in that status for long compared to what Nigeria has got.

My opinion....

Oga when it comes to relatives you bothered to ask deeper questions but in the case if woman all declarations was let loose without any questions asked

Yes my father helped so many of them, their kids school fees ,money for feeding, etc
See treat your wife well she will be with you,no be to maltreat her, humiliate her then even it's Rocky, you want her to show you love,it's too late because you have already used your own hand to kill the love
Any man feeling relatives will stand be him is in for a huge disappointment,if you even have little money they will pray you die from the sickness quickly so they can share that money or house, relatives are not your home
Your wife your kids are your home,if you build it on rock it will stand in time's if storm,if you build it on sand, storm will easily wash it away

Doesn't mean if you have extra, you can't assist your relatives, assist them as much as you can, that one na for God not man

Well, you may be right, but I put it to you that it's not in all cases as you have said. There are good relatives just as we have good wives, and likewise bad relatives and bad wives...

The point is, let's try to be good to both, this doesn't guarantee if they will reciprocate our kindness, but atleast, you have done your own part for humanity. Enjoy the rest of your day

Ok you might have a point, but the question here is, what is your father's relationship with his relatives? Was it cool or the other way round? If your father was good to them when things was ok for him, hardly will they treat him baldly when he needed them most. I might be wrong tho, I stand to be corrected...
