Attendant can only sell Petro of ₦3000 for ₦5000 if you are negligence by not focusing on metter reading, he can't adjust the fuel pump Are you sure you read my comment well? Fiscus105: Is attendant that doing it or the owner of fuel station Some filling station owners might be culpable for adjusted meters to increase profits, but to sell air into people's tanks like this one, I think that's the fuel attendants' handiwork... Someone who spent hundreds of millions to build a filling station would show some concern about the reputation of his business, but a bad staff that has no stake in the company can do the unthinkable. |
Car Talk › Re: Man Confronts Fuel Pump Attendant Over Pumping Air Instead Of Fuel (Pics/Video) by wazobeer: 4:21pm On Jan 14, 2025 |
Some of these fuel attendants are really heartless. A lot of them work in connivance with their managers.
How can someone buy 35k fuel and the fuel guage doesn't move at all... Despite the fact that petrol is now 5x what it used to cost. |

obaidan: Expenditure does not have to rise to match your income. The mistake most people make is get a pay rise of 2m, then increase rent by 1m, increase children tuition by 1m, and many more. People should learn the real meaning of what they can afford and what they earn. You basically reinforced my comment, but you missed the background of that popular saying. Expenditure doesn't simply rise because people chose to be deliberately lavish, rather, when you earn higher, you suddenly discover you have more capacity to afford things you couldn't afford hitherto and you also begin trying to solve other problems you might have avoided earlier such as helping extended family members, etc. |

Jega2000: I make roughly 500k-700k on average monthly but I am not really comfortable... Expenditure will always rise to meet income no matter what you earn, so you might have to cut down on your expenses, no matter how necessary you think some of them are. Your current earning is someone else's dream salary. Also, comfort is a very dangerous word ooo. |

Samantha125: Both the Arabs, Indians, and the Chinese are also facing the same situation as us Africans... But some Indians do intermix with other ethnic groups. The above is exactly my point... You can go through the previous comments to confirm. These people also have their own problems, so nobody is going to come and solve Africa's problems for Africa, we need to look inwards. EOD. |
Culture › Re: Why rich Arabs, Indians, Chinese rarely adopt black children like white people. by wazobeer: 1:20pm On Jan 11, 2025 |
Samantha125: Well, most of us are still bound by culture and why adopt a white child when there are a lot of African children in need of a warm and loving home?
Charity begins are home, had it been that Africa was as developed as Europe, then maybe some Africans would've adopted children from other ethnic groups. Good point, very good point. Still, does that justify the fact that the OP was literally demanding for African kids to be adopted by whites and other Caucasians? It's the entitlement mentality over adoption that I'm puzzled about. We should be responsible for adopting our own kids as Africans, that's the bottom line. |
Culture › Re: Why rich Arabs, Indians, Chinese rarely adopt black children like white people. by wazobeer: 12:43pm On Jan 11, 2025 |
Samantha125: I know one white lady who got adopted by her black nanny here in SA when she was still young, her biological mother is an explorer and spends most of her time traveling around the world and never had time for her.
I don't know the full story, but she ended up moving in with the nanny and she was raised as a white Pedi girl while still keeping in contact with her biological mother.
First time I met her, I was surprised hearing her speaking Sepedi in a strong Sepedi accent. Wow, that's a unique story... I'm guessing you're from SA... My point exactly is that Africans don't always have to be the ones being adopted. If we want to be respected in the world, we also need to step up. God didn't create the black race to become the destitutes and orphans of the world... |

OVB123: I'm surprised that someone is talking about Adapalm and the rest in south east. Presco alone is one of the largest, if not the largest in Nigeria. Not to talk about Okomu oil in Ovia south west. Abeg, make I leave matta for Mathias. I remember having that same conversation a while back with someone from the South East who was seriously hyping Ada Palm, which happens to be only 4,310 hectares while Presco occupies over 40,000 hectares altogether. That's basically 10x the size of Ada palm, besides that's like 4x the size of Owerri, the capital of Imo state... Presco alone occupies an expanse of land 4x bigger than Owerri, we're yet to talk about Okomu and other local producers. 🤯 |

Yes they can frustrate you, but one must always take their fragile nature into consideration and not overreact, this is why early childhood education is different. I couldn't even watch the entire video cos I'm very emotional when it comes to kids, but I hope fair justice is served both ways. |

Some people might also argue that the one for SE should have been sited in Anambra or Enugu, similarly, others might say Ogun or Oyo is the best for the SW. As long as it's within the intended region, I think it's not a bad idea... I believe regional accessibility is the main motive and that's perfectly fine. |

There are plenty of white orphans too, yet Europeans often choose to adopt children from different races and countries, including Black children. Black kids in Africa often face far worse conditions So when will black people begin adopting white kids? Let's start with that... You need to adopt one white kid today to set a positive example to Africans, don't you agree? |
