Why is the victim incurring and paying for the expenses and damages caused by the suspect. Even paying for the suspect's feeding and medical bills?


And why is it only in Nigeria that suspects, criminals or law offenders are released completely just because they have psychiatric conditions. Are they no facilities to accommodate such cases? So people can go around commiting crimes and be released on the flimsy and unverified excuse of having mental health conditions?

I'm definitely missing something here because so many things are not adding up

Get your facts and don't be quick to type. In developed countries, once it is certified that you have a psychiatric condition, you don't get prosecuted for a crime, but instead taken to a psychiatric facility.

Believe it or not, such practice is not even common in Nigeria compared to other Western countries. So, I wonder how you arrived at this conclusion that it only happens in Nigeria.
