Some other Christian raised this same issue before, trying to use the William Branham style of psychic discernment to prove that spirits, and consequently, the Bible, are real. The thread didn't go well for him.

Now this fellow shows up with the same scenario, except this time the pastor has been replaced with an anonymous madman. There are no other witnesses, or news reports, to corroborate the story.

I find it strange that the madman and the storyteller are of the same ethnic background. I also find it strange that one of the first places he chose to report the story is on Nairaland Religion.
More witnesses are needed in order for this story to deserve a response.

False analogy. How many others have witnessed the madman in action? The incidents you mentioned all have notoriety in common. More than just one anonymous person can bear witness.

It still doesn't render his testimony false, but there's no reason why it should be believed by people who don't know him.

Yes, but remember that the nature of the evidence is anecdotal. It could be true but it is also possible that the storyteller is a Nairaland Christian sockpuppet, someone who is hell-bent on inventing a thought puzzle for atheist to solve.
I would love to hear the testimony of Hausa, Yoruba, or Ijaw people who may have passed by the madman. Is this talent reserved only for human pedestrians who are of Igbo descent?
Without being able to authenticate the story, all I can say is that it defies credulity. It may be that he witnessed a true manifestation of the so called psychic endowment.

He knows what he saw. He also knows if he's lying or not. I cannot render an opinion because I don't personally know the fellow. People who know him should know if he's lying though.

The Bible was not written in English. The people who translated it to English made tons of errors. Seeing without believing is foolishness in general, but sometimes people get lucky anyway, or as you may call it blessed.

Blessed is like word lucky. It's lucky to believe something without seeing it, and wind up correct. That's basically the correct translation.

Most of the times, if you follow something without seeing any proof of it manifestation, you end up being wrong. A few times, you can guess correctly.

For the Christians seeking to identify the false prophets, here is another one to add to your list.

Parade a rotten corpse where and why? I think you're overestimating the gravity of the threat facing the Roman soldiers. You forget that there is no WiFi or newspaper or photograph. It makes logistical sense to pass a law punishable by death.

These speculations are unfounded. There would be no one to record this confession for posterity after the execution had occurred anyway. They would go down as executed Christians, without us ever knowing what they said towards the executioner.

In his place, people pay him for treatment. He will lay hands on them and heal them in return they will forfeit a certain amount of cash.

So it doesn't make sense to donate to his closest competitor. He is competing with Nigerian hospitals, not British ones.

It depends on whether the humans will be granted their freedom if they recount and admit their lies. An admission of one's lies before a court of vigilantes will embolden them to remove your head even more. It's better to stick to your story and hope for the best.
