Education5 Reasons You Need To Start Online Learning Now. by wealthpos(op): 4:03pm On Jun 01, 2017
5 reasons you need to start online learning now.

Online education today has recently been so common, even some IVY league schools are beginning to have study sites online now.Because of the latest education trends. And this indeed is a great development because, in a way, we now have the access to study without boundaries with Virtual schools. I have carefully discussed 5 ways you should strive for Higher Education online now before you will regret it.

1.Internationally recognized certificate: Internet education is one of the best ways you could get an internationally certify, in other words, online education from at the corner of your house will give you access to be certified by accredited online colleges and universities abroad or far away schools you might not be able to study with based on some different reasons. i.e. visa denial, financial constraints, weather etc. And when you have a certificate from accredited online colleges or universities in America, Europe of Asia, it will automatically expose you to the world, because you will not be thinking locally again, and then you will have the mentality of pursuing global things and not being rigid.

2.Cheap education: I am presently taking some few courses online now which are very cheap compared to brick and mortar schools. You can get one of the cheapest tuition online or tuition-free higher institutions. And I must tell you, these courses are so informative, the textbooks we are using are from the libraries of most of the Ivy League schools around the world, and I must tell you, it will be so expensive for you to get these university textbooks if you are to buy them on Amazon or any popular bookstores.some of these textbooks are free or through discount school supply. Having said that, do not give up on education because you think you do not have money. Search online, look for accredited online schools without tuition fees, they are cheap, and most of them offers scholarships as well.

3.International connection: I remember making a lot of international friends while I was studying online digital marketing in a school in Canada. Look, folks, online education started from the west and many of their people are embracing it already. So, if you are schooling online, there is a high possibility that your classmates are from Europe, America and many other countries around the world. Hence, you have international friends that can help you in getting jobs in their country if you so desire or even creating a business or a company together, and you know what that means in terms of accessing reasonable funds to grow your business.

4.Travel opportunity: Online home-based education will give you the opportunity to travel out of Your country if you so desire, here are ways you can do it. Many schools out there will accept you as a transfer student with a certificate of some accredited online colleges and universities recognized by WES, and that will give you a hedge to travel to any country you want as a transfer student or continuing education. Another opportunity is applying for internships internationally, this can also open a wide door for you to travel around the world with the international certificate you possess.

5.Easy admission: Many youths wastes away in Nigeria after completing high school because of the jamb or some other delays in admission. Look, online distance learning or home learning will open great doors of admission for you. instead of you sitting home and waiting for a local institution to admit you. Online education is one of the easiest ways to get into a higher institution and start learning. Do not listen to the group of people saying no one will recognize the certificate or some other things, start thinking global because the education has been disrupted by the internet and we already have globalization on education now so no limit to what you can do with any knowledge you acquire online.

PoliticsBreaking News: Justice Danladi Umar Throws Out Application Seeking His Disqualif by wealthpos(op): 4:08pm On Apr 28, 2016
Abuja, (an24) – The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Justice Danladi Umar, today, Thursday, April 28, 2016, quashed the application to recuse himself filed by one of Saraki’s Counsel’s, Ajibola Oluyede.
It would be recalled that the motion relating to Justice Umar’s bribery charges was filed on Thursday April, 21 by Mr. Oluyede, but the trial Judge refused to entertain the motion as he repeatedly yelled at the Counsel to the Senate President to “Sit Down!” when the counsel attempted to bring up the motion.
Mr. Oluyede, while raising the motion at the CCT, maintained that Justice Umar must recuse himself, citing that the trial Judge’s relationship with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), as a suspect in a N10million bribery investigation, made him morally unjustified to sit on the case because the EFCC was one of the investigating authorities in the case.
Meanwhile Justice Umar quashed the application seeking his disqualification on the basis that the application lacked merit.

PoliticsThe queues are as a result of sabotage-Kachikwu by wealthpos(op): 12:25pm On Apr 21, 2016
MINISTER of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, has attributed the continuous fuel queues across the country to the handiwork of “saboteurs, who want to make quick returns.”
Kachikwu, who joined his colleagues at the Federal Executive Council meeting (FEC), presided by President Muhammadu Buhari, to brief on the fuel situation, said the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has been given marching orders to fish out culprits and deal with them.
He said NNPC, already being over-burdened, as at Wednesday, delivered 1,200 trucks of petroleum products nationwide, to end the fuel crisis in the country.
“The queues are as a result of sabotage. Some people, rather than sell products, send them into hinterlands, where they sell at ridiculous prices and, so, you are having this price distortions whereby people are making a lot of money. Some are internal and some are external, but a lot of it is marketers trying to make quick returns on their investments wrongly.
“We have asked DPR to deploy officials to ensure products are sold at the right price because it is only through price stabilisation that these system queues will disappear.
“As at today, we are delivering about 1,200 trucks, by weekend, we should be delivering same number of trucks. It will take a bit of days to even out, but you can see improvement already. I hope by the end of next week, with the refineries helping us to stay on course, every part of the country will get fuel.
“We thank the President, NNPC staff and the ministry staff, who work night and day to enforce discipline.
“We thank Nigerians for their unbelievable level of patience; we are solving problem we met on ground and trying to find long term solution to it, and urge Nigerians to report sabotage, where people are selling product on higher price because we all need to work collectively to make this thing go for good”.
Kachikwu, who gave an overview of the fuel crisis and efforts to address the situation, said the long queues would disappear next week. The minister, who is also the Group Managing Director of NNPC said logistics were on to revamp the local refineries to boost the strategic reserves that have been depleted in the past few weeks.
He said the Port Harcourt refinery has began operating skeletal production while crude oil was being supplied to Warri refinery at the moment.
“Our intervention today was basically to give a brief update in terms of the petroleum distribution position and the whole fuel queue crisis that bedevilled this country for few weeks.
“The position, rightly, is due to three or four causative factors. The first, obviously, is fiscal; fiscal in the sense that, at the time we came in last year, there were over N600 billion in subsidy that hadn’t been paid through 2014 and 2015 and marketers got to a point where their liquidity had become very challenged and most of them had got out of the business, so they were not importing. Through the intervention of Mr. President and the National Assembly, including other stakeholders, we got that money paid at about November 2015

PoliticsUmar Upset, called For Police Officers To Throw Out The Counsel To Saraki by wealthpos(op): 12:06pm On Apr 21, 2016
There was commotion at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) today, as the CCT Chairman, Danladi Umar, refused to hear the motion of the Senate President’s lawyers on his alleged bias.

Umar, who has been under investigation for corrupt practices, lost his temper as Mr. Raphael Oluyede, Saraki’s lawyer, brought to the attention of the court, a motion filed on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016, seeking the CCT boss to disqualify himself from participating in the trial based on bias.

The motion contended that the continued presence of Umar on the panel of Tribunal offended the provisions of Section 36(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which prescribes that “In the determination of his civil rights and obligations, including any question or determination by or against any government or authority, a person shall be entitled to a fair hearing within a reasonable time by a court or other tribunal established by law and constituted in such manner as to secure its independence and impartiality”.

However, when Oluyede attempted to bring up the motion, Justice Umar lost his temper and repeatedly yelled at Oluyede to “Sit down.” It will be recalled that with the main prosecution witnesses being drawn from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Umar as Chairman of the CCT is an object of investigation for corrupt practices by the same EFCC.

After Oluyede demanded to be heard, Umar, upset by the revelations, called for police officers to throw out the counsel to the Senate President. However, Oluyede sat down on arrival of the police officers and maintained that he would not be intimidated.

We even sometimes find it difficult speaking our own dialect properly not to talk of another man’s language..
There are many of such words, but we decided to give you just 20.
The ‘S’ is silent, usually pronounced “Debreeze” by Ghanaians.
laughing man

Almost everybody in Ghana pronounces this word as “hoon-die” and you dare not try to correct them. The right pronunciation is what you see above. The ‘Y’ is silent and the ‘dai’ at the end is not ‘die’ but ‘day’.

In Ghana we have people pronounce this word, which is the name of a car that was named after Ferdinand Porsche as “Por-sh” or “Por-shay”, in fact “Por-shay” is widely known but the man it was named after clearly pronounced it as “Por-shuh”, it rhymes with Porcia but sounds more like “Porsha”.

The pronunciation of this word should be “Kapu-chee-no” and not “Capu-cee-no” as we hear some Ghanaians pronounce it.

If there is one person who make Ghanaians pronounce this name a lot of times, it’s Jose Mourino but unfortunately, almost everybody including even well renowned journalists in Ghana get the pronunciation wrong. The right way to pronounce it is “Hoo-Zey” and not “Joo-Zey”.

Be honest, you’ve always pronounced this word, “Mis-chee-vious” if you’re Ghanaian. But the right pronunciation should be “Mis-chi-vus”

If you’re a Ghanaian and you’ve come across this word, we know you usually pronounce it as, “Gɛna”. Anyway, don’t stress over it. The right pronunciation is rather, “dzanra”.

The word is not “Febuary” it is rather “Feb-ru-ari”. If you don’t know, now you know.

If you’ve been pronouncing it, “excetara excetara” which we know you do, kindly stop, you’re butchering it. The right pronunciation should be as you see above and so kindly remove the “X”.

If you know you’ve been pronouncing it with the ‘T’ in it, then you should know you’ve been doing it wrong. Just so you know, the ‘T’ is silent. So the right pronunciation should be “Ofen” and not “Of-tin” as most Ghanaians pronounce it.
General-Mosquito

We know sometimes your “abrofosem” gets the better of you and so you end up placing more emphasis on the “th” in there. But the right pronunciation is “Azma”… simple.

When pronouncing words that originated from the French, you need to be very careful.
Say “Lawn-Zhon-Ray” not “Lin-Jer-Ree”

Many people confuse the pronunciation of banquet with bouquet all the time. The fact that they all have the same ending does not mean they should be pronounced the same. Banquet is pronounced “bankwit” just as you see it and bouquet is pronounced “boo-kay”

The explanation above explains it all. We intentionally placed them beside each other so you can get it.

“Ontre-pre-neer” not “enter-pri-nur”

This word has become very common in Ghana because of an internet celebrity who goes by the nickname “Archipelago” but even he also gets it wrong.
The word is a Greek word so you have to be mindful of the “Chi” in there. It is not to be pronounced as you see it, it should be with a “K” in mind and not a “Ch” so the right pronunciation should be, “Ar-ki-pel-ago” and not “ar-chee-pa-lago”.

Almost everybody in Ghana gets it wrong. It’s “Pitza” not “Peeza”.

Well! Thanks to a place named after this word in Ghana, almost everybody assumes that’s the right way of pronouncing it. It is not “kap-rize”, it is “Ke-pris”

Be honest, how many of us really say, “Plumer”. Most Ghanaians calls them, “Plum-ba”, now from today take note, the “B” in there is silent, it should be “Plumer” not “Plamba”.

Career13 Ways To Make Your Blog Audience Love – And Buy – From You by wealthpos(op): 5:18pm On Mar 30, 2016
It’s one thing to attract readers to your blog, and to get them to subscribe.

The next part is trickier: Getting those subscribers to fall in love with you.

How do you do that? You need some blogger-reader bonding time!

You want to bond with your readers so that they don’t just get your emails—they love getting your emails, and think you’re the top authority in your topic.

Readers who bond with you are readers who buy. The stronger a connection you can make with your readers, the more easily you’ll earn, especially if you only have a small blog audience.

So how do you form a closer bond with your readers? In short, you need to be an approachable, likeable person, and write in service of your readers.

You also need to exceed your readers’ expectations. You need to stand out from the pack with surprising and unusual help that really makes a difference in their lives.

Here’s how to begin:
Listen and Learn About Needs

When I launched, I thought I knew what the freelance writers who read my blog would like to learn from me. But I discovered that’s different from delivering what my readers actually need to know. As I mentioned above, surveying your readers is vital.

I thought I knew my readers—they’re freelance writers, right?—until I started asking them to post about their problems and their lives in my blog comments. Then, my eyes were opened.

Some of my readers, it turned out, were brand-newbies. Others were experienced journalists, but new to freelancing. Still others were experienced freelancers, but hadn’t figured out how to earn well.

Understanding I had different types of readers helped me vary the content of my posts, so that everyone got useful tips. Take a survey, or post a question as a blog post, and just let your readers vent! You’ll get a gold mine of information.

For several years, my welcome auto responder to new subscribers asked them to email me with their top concern. That generated an endless stream of interesting insights about my readers’ needs!

Once you know what readers want, you can design activities that strengthen your relationship. Here’s a list of a baker’s dozen different things I’ve done to grow closer to my readers:

1. Chat Them Up

Many big bloggers delegate responding to blog comments to someone on their staff, or close their comments altogether—so this is a chance for you to stand out. Seize this opportunity to build relationships with engaged readers.Don’t respond just to say ‘Thanks for posting,’ either—have a conversation.

2. Promote Your Readers’ blogs

Look for opportunities to feature or give exposure to your readers. Besides letting readers guest post, I ran link parties on my blog using the InLinkz tool, where my readers were free to post a link to one of their blog posts, and I held a reader vote for the best ones. This gave my readers valuable backlinks—and made me many loyal fans.

3. Use social media to help build their brand

I’m active on Twitter, and do a couple things there I know my readers love. If they retweet one of my posts, I’ll share THEIR comments on it, instead of just sending out my own tweet.

If I see them sharing an interesting link in my blog comments, I make a point of retweeting that, too. That way, their face and name gets in front of a bigger audience. On one of my sites, I show my tweets, so their face and Twitter handle often visible there all day long. Give your audience free marketing and they will love you for it! Often, I’ll get thank-you tweets back, even if what I shared of theirs was really a link of mine!

4. Hold free Webinars or podcasts with Q&A time

The chance to talk to you live and get their specific question answered takes your relationship to a whole new level. You are definitely not an anonymous blogger now—you’re clearly a real person who’s there to help.

5. Take questions in advance

If you want to get people excited about your live event, have them take an action before it starts by leaving you a question. This gets people really looking forward to this free learning opportunity, makes them feel you care, and allow them more time to think about their question! (Some people hate having to cook them up on the fly.) That way, even if they end up unable to make it, they could hear their answer later. Which brings us to…

6. Offer recordings/replays

Lots of people can’t make live events—but you can make them feel included by offering a replay, where they can hear the answer to that question they left you ahead of time.

7. Give a transcript

Many people just aren’t into watching or listening to recordings. (I’m one of them!) If you get your event transcribed, you’ll help—and endear yourself to—more readers.

8. Free E-books and special reports

If you’re writing an e-book, look to your subscribers for beta-readers. Or give a free e-book to all your subscribers when they sign up. I know one blogger who gives out quarterly special mini-course PDFs to his subscribers.

9. Send subscriber-only, informative emails

These days, not all my ‘blog posts’ appear on my blog. Some are emails I send out only to my subscribers, as an exclusive bonus, just for staying on my list. These posts usually don’t sell anything–they just contain an insight or helpful tip, usually from something that happened to me or a writer I know in the past week.

10. Blog or website critiques

Could you help your readers improve their own online presence? Take a day and give them each a quick tip. I’m actually using this method on the launch day of my e-book and handing out free blog feedback, all day.

11. Free coaching

I’ve simply handed out my cell-phone number and invited readers to call me for a free 15-minute coaching session. You won’t believe how excited people are to connect live, and see for themselves that you’re a real person, and to get a little personalized help from you.

12. Free lunch

I’ve thrown pizza parties for subscribers in Chicago and Seattle, and bought coffee at Starbucks in Los Angeles. At World Domination Summit in Portland one year, I took a group of 20 of my blog subscribers out to breakfast at an awesome local diner, and paid the whole tab. Sure, it cost nearly $200…but it was so fun! And I’m still in touch with some of those writers today. (And remember, that’s a marketing cost and a tax write-off for you.)?? Meeting your subscribers face-to-face is a HUGE bonding opportunity you should jump on, any chance you get. Show them you’re no faceless Internet drone! Word will spread.

13. Organize local meetups

If you have a subscriber list, you should be able to segment it by location. That means you could organize a local meetup where you turn up to just meet and brainstorm with local subscribers. I’ve done this, and it’s a super-powerful bonding tool. You can also facilitate bringing your subscribers in other locales together to bond and meet with each other. That strengthens their connection to you, the person who brought them together.
Surprise and delight

Your list of appropriate freebies may be different from mine, but hopefully this starts you thinking. Consider your audience and what they would be thrilled with—then, drop it on them free sometime.

Top online retailers such as Zappos talk about the need to “surprise and delight your customer.” Make blog readers feel special, surprise them with unexpected goodies, and they’ll feel that of all the bloggers in your niche, you’re the one they should buy from.

You become trusted, and your blog becomes an intimate hangout that feels safe and secure to your readers. You become not just a blogger they like, but THE blogger they want to learn from.

Then, when you have something to sell, your readers are clamoring to buy it.

The small blogger’s advantage is that you have more chances to form personal connections with readers. Big bloggers are super-busy! Talk to your readers, lavish them with goodies, and build an audience that will buy from you.

How are you bonding with your blog readers? Post in the comments and share ideas!

In today’s Nigeria, the name Cosmas Maduka is synonymous with Coscharis Motors. And why wouldn’t it be since the bearer of the name is the multi-billionaire Chairman/CEO of Coscharis Group of Companies and sole distributor for BMW in Nigeria.
Dr. Cosmas Maduka’s success is one that everyone knows of, but let’s go through his journey to success together.Cosmas-Maduka-Forbes

Cosmas was born in Nnewi in Anambra State into poverty. At age four, he lost his father and had to resort to hawking bean cake (Akara) and climbing palm trees before the age of five, to assist his mother. Three years later, when things seemed to get worse instead of better, he was sent by his mother to his maternal grandparents in order to lessen her task of providing for him and her other three children. At age seven, little Cosmas was withdrawn from Elementary Three to serve as an automobile apprentice to a maternal uncle in Lagos.
Talking about this, he says “My maternal uncle lived at Ebutte-Metta in Lagos and had a store at 88 Griffy Street, near Oyingbo Bus-stop. He took me to work as an apprentice for him, and people laughed at me and questioned what I could learn at my age.
The uncle Cosmas was to learn from had no home of his own but was squatting with a friend, hence, Cosmas had to sleep at the store while his uncle locked him in and went home with the keys to the store.
Cosmas was born into the Catholic faith, however, he had deserted the faith as a young man. He was later to find back his Christian faith when a friend invited him to the Redeemed Christian Church of God at Ebutte-Metta while still in Lagos. It was here he found again his Christian faith and was not ready to let it go again.
The answer to those who doubted Cosmas’ ability to learn the trade was that at age nine, he had effectively mastered his craft and would, on behalf of his Uncle, travel alone to Nnewi to purchase items. At the age of 14, his boss was so confident in his abilities that he sent him to work in one of their branches at Sokoto and later, at Nnewi, where he was born.
All through this time, there was no contract binding himself and his Uncle together. This was later going to cause a fatal setback for him, or the launch pad into his success, depending on how you look at it.
In 1975, while still at Nnewi at the age of 14, Cosmas had a church camp he had to attend. His boss came into town on the fourth day and on discovering his absence, sent for him and his elder brother. Upon their arrival, he gave him N200, asking him to go concentrate on his new found faith. That was how his service in the employ of his Uncle was terminated.

Talking about the event, Cosmas recalls “It was done to punish me, but having known a little about God, I looked at him in the eyes and said, `God hardened the heart of Pharaoh to show His might in the land of Egypt. I served you well, and I don’t deserve this. But if this is what you have to offer me, five years from today, you will be amazed at what you’re going to see out of this”, he painfully recalls.
With this setback, Cosmas embraced a positive attitude. Talking about this, he says, “I’ve always been very positive from my childhood and this often made people laugh at me to scorn. I still recollect those days at Oyingbo Bus-stop when school children would mock me, and I would tell them I was going to be better than them in six years. I do not know why I was so confident, but the truth is that my mother inspired and encouraged me always.”
After his dismissal from his Uncle’s employ, Cosmas teamed up with his elder brother who had concluded his apprenticeship and was ready to set up a company, Maduka Brothers, selling spare parts. This partnership was not to last as they later had to part later due to ideological differences, leaving him with a capital of N300.
It was with this capital that he started his own enterprise of coming to Lagos to buy goods. He had his first breakthrough when he went to Boulous Enterprises to purchase motorcycle spare parts. It was here that he stumbled on a new innovation called motorcycle crash ban. He bought several of this and then removed the address of Boulous from the carton so that others would not know where he bought them from.
Recalling the incident, Cosmas says“I sold everything the next day and joined the night bus again to Lagos to buy more. I did that four times in one week and my capital rose from N300 to over N3,000. I settled down in marriage at age 19, and I ventured into importation with the little capital I had. Lo and behold, I received the wrong consignment and therefore, had a serious setback which left me indebted even to my landlord for months. My shop was also locked.”This major setback notwithstanding, Cosmas was willing to start over, hence, he searched out a scale which he got as a wedding gift, took it to the market, and from everyone who climbed it, he got 10kobo. Upon knowing what her husband went out to do each day, his wife cried and then decided to pick up a job to support the family.
With proceeds from the scale enterprise, he was able to team up with a friend, David and they set up a company called CosDave. His partnership with David also had to end due to ideological differences which led him to finally set up the popular Coscharis Motors, now Coscharis Group of Companies. Speaking on the idea for the name, Cosmas says “Coscharis is a combination of three letter words from my name and that of my wife, Charity.”
For Coscharis, the real breakthrough came when in 1982, the Nigerian government decided to grant import licenses to 10 Nigerian companies and Coscharis was one of those selected. From then up till now, the company has continued to expand, and as of date has several subsidiaries.
From his experience, Cosmas advises: “You can start any mean job as a stepping stone to where you want to be.”
We can also glean this one lesson that it isn’t about where you start from, but where you end

Christianity Etc“how Everything Has Gone Spiritual In Nigeria” by wealthpos(op): 10:40am On Mar 29, 2016

Isaiah 9:16 KJV
For the leaders of this people cause them to err, and they that are led of them are destroyed

Thanks for this articulate and thought provoking write up dear Man of God. The theme of this write up is one of my core teachings in our own small parish here where I superintend. I am so delighted that you have articulated it in a more scholarly way that will make for easier propagation of these critical “kingdom disorder” of our “today’s church” particularly in Nigeria.

Everything rises and falls on Leadership, and the message you are sending here should be viewed and acted upon seriously by all, most especially “church leaders” of which I am the least.

In this matter, the pente “rascals” in Nigeria are most gullible and needs reorientation. Here they teach their followers they can get everything by faith. It’s all faith, faith, faith. The average Nigerian Christian claims everything by faith even when they have not worked for it leading people to the erroneous belief that they can get something for nothing.

Everything is spiritualized. You can get it all, all you need is to fast and pray. The things you don’t need, you just need to “reject it” in Jesus Name. Statements of ‘faith” like it’s not my portion are potent enough to drive disaster away. And people are taught that prosperity comes by “giving”, “giving” and more “giving”, it is called sowing. Most pastors understand the doctrine of “Sacrificial giving”, tithes and 2nd tithes, first fruits more than the central gospel theme of Salvation.

Even the largely innocent (though sometimes gullible) church goers have been so mis-gospelised that when they go to church or Christian programmes, what they are looking for is solution to problems ( financial, health, marital, academic, etc.) hence they are seeking for the problem solving God and not the God of salvation. Their pastors don’t sell the redemption package to them, what they offer them is piecemeal “man (flesh) induced quick-fix solution packages, instead of the “full-gospel” message (package) of Salvation that can grow the believers to spiritual maturity and multiplying the army of Christ.

Rather, the pastors have become chief consultants in all aspects of life and since everything has gone spiritual, the people have to depend on them for everything including simple matters of everyday living that can be handled using common sense. Talking about industrialization is like writing a computer programme in HLL (high level language) for the church leaders.

It’s only in Nigeria that I see people going to church when they should be at work or in their places of business. When big church programmes are holding businesses shut down and many people rob their employers of man-hours in order to attend.

The church needs re-direction and this well thought out article of Pastor Sunday Adelaja is a reference material, thoroughly researched and brilliantly presented in a manner that even the simple can understand.

May God help our church leaders to “understand thou what thou readest” (Acts 8:30) like the Ethiopian eunuch who was reading a material but did not get the import until Philip came to his rescue.

His sincere confession was that “How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come and sit with him. Acts 8:31

Thank you sir for your bold and righteous crusade of truth. God bless your ministry sir.

Bol played for two colleges and four NBA teams over his career. A center, he was known as a specialist player; he was considered among the best shot-blockers in the history of the sport, but other aspects of his game were considered fairly weak.

Over the course of his career, Bol blocked more shots than he scored points, making him the only NBA player ever to do so. He is second all-time in NBA history in terms of average blocked shots per game, and ranks 15th on the career blocks list. He is also the only player in NBA history to have killed a lion with a spear and to have paid 80 cows for his wife.
On June 19, 2010, Bol A father to 10 children died from acute kidney failure and complications from Stevens–Johnson syndrome at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
His former teams, and the NBA, issued statements in recognition of his impact on the sport of basketball and on his native Sudan.
A salute to Bol took place on the floor of the United States Senate just a few days after his death.

Technology MarketThe Law Is Clear: The FBI Cannot Make Apple Rewrite Its OS. by wealthpos(op): 11:27am On Mar 17, 2016
http://naijacitoyen..sn/2016/03/the-law-is-clear-fbi-cannot-make-apple.html

Barack Obama has a fine legal mind. But he may not have been using it when he talked about encryption last week.
Every once in a while, President Obama removes his Law Professor in Chief hat and puts on his I Get Terrifying Briefings Every Day hat. Last week at SXSW, as he delivered general remarks about the encryption debate, he tried to sound reasonable and professorial: “We recognize that just like our other rights — freedom of speech, freedom of religion, et cetera — that there are going to be some constraints that we impose in order to make sure that we are safe, secure, and, uh, living in a civilized society,” he said, repeatedly making an embracing gesture with his palms. Symbolically keeping us safe, encircling us with his hands, the father of Malia and Sasha blinked a bit rapidly as he said this.
The president must have known that the FBI was on shaky legal ground when he spoke in Austin this past week. But he had clearly decided well before getting on stage that he would side with the people telling him that the world is an increasingly terrifying place. Law would have to give way.
“I am way on the civil-liberties side of this [government surveillance] thing,” he said later, sucking in his lips and looking away from his interviewer into the middle distance, showing both that he was thinking about the problem and a little uncertain. “I anguish a lot over the decisions we make.” He cautioned the large audience listening not to be “absolutist,” reminding us that “the dangers are real.”
The problem for the president is that when it comes to the specific battle going on right now between Apple and the FBI, the law is clear: twenty years ago, Congress passed a statute, the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA) that does not allow the government to tell manufacturers how to design or configure a phone or software used by that phone — including security software used by that phone.
CALEA was the subject of intense negotiation — a deal, in other words. The government won an extensive, specific list of wiretapping assistance requirements in connection with digital communications. But in exchange, in Section 1002 of that act, the Feds gave up authority to “require any specific design of equipment, facilities, services, features or system configurations” from any phone manufacturer. The government can’t require companies that build phones to come to it for clearance in advance of launching a new device. Nor can the authorities ask a manufacturer to design something new — like a back door — once that device is out.
Today’s FBI doesn’t like that deal. So it is pointing emphatically and somewhat emotionally to a different statute, the All Writs Act. The FBI says that once law enforcement has a search warrant in its hand, the AWA gives a court basically unlimited power to get anyone to do whatever it wants.
The FBI has been terrific at reading statutes — including CALEA — in ways that require the rest of us to do headstands to understand what the agency is up to. Their claim about CALEA in their latest brief in the Apple case is a shining example of just this kind of breathless, vertiginous, Alice-in-Wonderland assertion: CALEA, they say, limited only law enforcement’s authority to directly require companies to redesign devices and software. But once law enforcement is authorized by a court to do a search — given a search warrant, in other words — then (under the AWA) an FBI official can ask the court to do what law enforcement is prohibited from doing directly under section 1002 of CALEA.
Got it? Right, I don’t either. As the well-respected lawyer Albert Gidari carefully explains in a recent blog post, this is a weirdly circular argument that ignores the specific limitation Congress enacted to remove the government from the business of dictating the design of phones or software. No gaps; no interpretive sunlight: CALEA stops the government from doing what it wants to do to Apple.
So if the FBI wants to change the deal, it has to go back to Congress. But it doesn’t want to, and the DOJ is pushing very hard to get courts to agree with its confabulatory view of the world. Planes will fall from the sky! People will die! Those are the kinds of arguments the FBI and the DOJ are undoubtedly making internally, appealing to everyone’s well-justified fear in a repeated drumbeat of low-voiced indefatigable briefings. Now they’ve chosen their legal vehicle and they’re ginning up public pressure on tech companies. It’s quite a campaign.
I personally have no doubt that the narrow issue under consideration in the Apple case is just the first step of an inexorable, air-of-inevitability push to invest the DOJ with tech design authority.
The president — our Law Professor in Chief — has to know the DOJ is on shaky ground. He’s probably got this rule of statutory construction rolling around in his mind as he watches college basketball this week: Specific statutes trump general ones. Generalia specialibus non derogant.
Nonetheless, the president has chosen his I Get Terrifying Briefings Every Day hat. It’s understandable. Who will blame him for protecting us? He’s worried about something awful happening. It’s just that increasingly hard-to-hear rule of law alarm bell going off again.

CareerWho Am I? by wealthpos(op): 11:07am On Mar 17, 2016
I discovered in my studies about purpose that many people find it so difficult to know who they really are, and many a times they misinterpret this for some other things because of the society and our culture, because these two things make it so very difficult for us to be ourselves. For example many corrupt practices going on in the third world countries, the issue of bad leadership, and people living in abject poverty. Also the west and the so called advance countries. Countries in America and Europe, where people consider so many things as a way of life and the norm of the society, like waking up day by day and going to job, paying bills with the money you earn, and working tirelessly to keep up. All these society norms are really affecting our thoughts, and therefore denying us to answer that question of who we are, so we can get into living purposefully. Disregarding these norms of the society might lead to irritation or stigmatization from your fellow countryman, or people. We are so used to these norms that we find it so hard to stand alone and stand for something we are called for among the crowd. Dear reader, think and find something unique to stand for today in order to discover you. Nelson Mandela stood for something among so many people and fear, and that led him to become a great legend even after his death. People will never forget the role Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jnr played in America and in ending the slave trade in the world. What are you willing to stand for? Take a pause and decide now, so you can reveal your true self and create a great Identity for you.

BusinessUse This Stupid-simple Secret Ingredient To Boost Social Engagement by wealthpos(op): 1:18pm On Mar 16, 2016
http://naijacitoyen..sn/2016/03/use-this-stupid-simple-secret.html grin grin shocked cheesy

Every day, for hours on end, social media teams across the country — around the world, even — toil away in poorly lit rooms, snacking periodically on stale donuts and swilling hours-old cold coffee, trying to come up with new ways to solve one huge, gaping problem plaguing marketers of all stripes:

No one cares about our social content enough to give it a like, a retweet, a comment, or even a share.

All is not lost. I’ve stumbled upon a stupid-simple way to dramatically increase your social engagement, and it’s actually a lot of fun. Ready for it? It’s emojis!
An Emoji Is Worth A Thousand Words

Emojis are super-powerful because they allow us to communicate so much more than we could with words alone. People are apt to respond positively to your messages when you form an emotional connection, however brief.

That’s a fist-bump emoji, in case it’s not clear.

Think of the sheer volume of words people sift through in a day, especially online across media, websites, email and text messages.

People are overwhelmed with words.

We know that people process visuals 60,000 times faster than plain text, and emojis are a great way to tap into that image power in your social posts, where space is at a premium.
Using Emojis Without Being A Total Cheeseball

Emojis only get a bad name when people abuse their emoji powers. I’ve pretty much memorized the entire emoji character set and try to introduce them in conversations wherever it makes sense.

There are so many opportunities. And there’s so much more to a smart emoji strategy than just throwing in a smiley face.

Just do a Google search and check out which emojis are available on your device or operating system:

Instead of throwing around emojis haphazardly, consider contextual relevancy. If you’re talking about junk food, you can use a donut. A conversation about an event in a specific country allows you to insert an emoji of the flag.
Social Networks & Operating Systems Know the Power of Emojis

Emojis are so impactful that Facebook has spent an inordinate amount of time and resources developing and testing a set of six additional emoji-like “reactions” to join the thumbs-up button.

Right now, they’re being tested only in Spain and Ireland, but they may eventually roll out to all users worldwide.

Apple released a slate of new and updated emojis for iOS 9.1 last month, adding a burrito, a middle finger, a robot and even a unicorn to the mix.

If you look at my Twitter and Facebook feeds, I never do an update without at least one emoji, and often I’ll do replies and updates completely lacking in words, with just emojis.

Seriously, with such a selection across platforms, who needs words? Think about it — how weird would it be in real life to have a conversation with someone without showing any emotion at all? Emojis help solve a major problem in online communications: the missing context of emotion.
Posts With Emojis Increase Social Engagement

The key to doing both paid and organic social is to get those engagement rates up. In organic social, this helps your content get more exposure.

Unfortunately, when it comes to organic social media marketing, it’s super-hard to figure out which update does better or worse because there are so many different variables at play.

However, in paid social, it’s super-easy to do a split test of the same promoted post with and without emojis to the same targeting group at the same time.

Here’s just one small example, between this tweet with no emoji and the same image and message plus emojis:

As you can see, the emoji version has 25.4 percent higher engagement (11.06 percent vs. 8.82 percent) and a 22.2 percent lower cost per engagement ($0.18 vs. $0.14). Remember: Twitter Quality Score rewards higher post engagement with lower CPEs. So using emojis will not only increase engagement, it will decrease your costs, too.

Like I said, we’re seeing this as a trend consistently across tests (Sometimes the emoji variant beats out the non-emoji promoted post by as much 3x), but I’ve noticed that it’s key that your emojis are relevant to the update.

Test it out for yourself!

If you found this useful, please hit the “❤” button below! Thanks smiley

WHAT IS A POTENTIAL?

A Potential can be define in so many ways, Below are five definitions of a potential.
i) Untapped power
ii) Hidden strength
iii) Unused talent
iv) Kept capacity
v) Dormant power.

I need you to take a break now, take a deep breath to ask yourself some questions relating to definitions I have given you about potential. What are the things you think you have lying dormant in you? You really need to start engaging your inner sight now, to stop your outward sight of denying you of what you are capable of doing. Dr Myles Monroe said “the greatest enemy of potential is sight, because sight is what you can see, while your potential is what you could be”. Dear reader, I think it is high time for you to be dwelling on the book of Hebrews, the chapter10:38 says “NOW THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH “. Living by faith will give you enough courage to unleash your potentials. In Joseph it was a great leader, he knew what was in him and he stood by it despite all the fear and turbulence he experienced. Genesis 37:9 says “And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me”. Nehemiah is also a very good example {Nehemiah 1:1-7}. Moses also demonstrated a great visionary life in the Bible. Stop looking by sight today, concentrate more on your inner sight and visions. I challenge you today to think deeply on something positive you can do with your life, act on it, stand by it, and watch The Lord move on your behalf, because He is the Alpha and the Omega, He knows you even before you were chosen among over 1 million genes running to get the eggs in your mother’s ovary. He said to Jeremiah in the Bible {JEREMIAH 1:5} that He knows him before his mother conceived him. You are reading this second post on potentials today because He chose you, and He already finished everything in you. He is just watching and waiting for you to utilize the potentials He already deposited in you. Start believing today that you are no accident, He created you for a purpose, and He deposited in you great potentials to succeed. Yours is to dig deep in the word, to start maximizing them, and bringing the glory of God out of your life while fulfilling your purpose. YOUR greatness would only be measured by your service. I therefore urge all the privileged few in all cities and nations of the earth to please hear the voice of conscience and stretch out your hands to strengthen the knees that are weakened and to lift those that are fallen. Let us be elites in God’s eyes. Let us honor fellow men so that heaven could honor us. Let us BEGIN to gauge ourselves on God’s scale rather than man’s scale of judgment. My dear friends if you have been able to read this post up to this level, it means you are privileged far and above most people in the globe. What would you do about it? How many people are you lifting? How many people are you enlightening? How many people are you raising? How many people are you blessing? How many people are you restoring? Blessed to be a blessing!

“I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35
