Here are 25 Lucrative Business In Nigeria That Will Make You A Millionaire in 2019. They say in a multitude of people, there abounds numerous entrepreneurial treasures. This has proven to be true for many sophisticated nations of the world, even the developing ones. It takes the mind of people willing to think about ways sift through the seashores of ideas and search out that precious stone. Take India for example. As soon as people realized that with over a billion people living together and transacting businesses, there would be a market for payment systems, FinTechs arose. Today, India is chief of that area of technology, and are even exporting their ideas.

1. Skin care business

A friend of mine recently remarked that Kylie Jenner is a now one of the youngest billionaires by owning a company in her bedroom. That statement provoked a chain of thoughts in my mind, and resonated the standing principle I had always believed that success as an entrepreneur depends 50% on how needed your product(s) is and 40% on how well you promote it. But what is Kylie Jenner’s product? Your guess is as good as mine. In recent times, there has been a surge in interest in organic skincare products; from moisturizers to face glowers and acne removals.

This trend is not looking to drop in 2019, as more people are sharing testimonies that are proving effective in attracting more and more customers. The market is expanding faster than ever before, and is a great ground to shoot for your millions. If you have a thing for organic beauty products, then this is perfect for you. You may want to go into the production of the products or simply the marketing. Some networks even exist base off of this idea, and one of them is Oriflame Sweden, which has a very active skin care community in Nigeria. Check them up too, you may be interested.

2. Delivery Company

Goods get produced everyday, millions of them; from sachet water to bread. In fact, 2 in 5 people in middle class families in Nigeria eat bread and drink a sachet of water a day, especially during the dry seasons. And the middle class makes up over 67% of Nigerian population. So there is your market.

Those commodities that gets produced need to be delivered to the inner communities of Nigeria, to the streets in the more urbanized regions, and to retailers that sell to the ordinary buyers.

With good marketing skills, effective delivery strategy that saves cost and improves returns, you are sure to make a good deal of return from this business. You could set up a delivery business to cover just an area initially, and then expand as the business matures.

3. Sales of Foodstuff

In Abraham Maslow’s needs hierarchy, food was one of the 3 basic necessities that every human being has. Can you do without food? Entrepreneurship is striking that delicate balance between people’s needs and business. In food business is one place where that balance is critically struck.

With a very small capital, you can start a small foodstuff business. With the competition in this space though, you would need some creativity to thrive into the millions with this business.Take for instance, a woman who sells all the spice needed to prepare “ogbono” soup in a pack, so that customers do not have to buy one here and go there for the rest; in fact, they do not have to gather the spices, she already did that and packaged it. So if you want to prepare any soup, she sells the pack of its spices. You can then add luxury items like chicken or beef if you so desire.

A touch of innovativeness is one thing you need.

4. Digital food vendor

Technology has disrupted everything, as you may already know; from FinTechs to NetFlix to AI taking over transportation. It has also come into our very own food business. You can set up a business around both tech and food. So here’s the thing: people must get food, and they need an easy way to do so… everyone naturally prefers easy ways.

So you provide both the food and the easy way to for them to get it. All that is embodied in food vending. You could start with one delivery machine, and expand with time. But one thing is certain; there would be demand for your food if it has enough quality or uniqueness in its delicacy.

Businesses are leveraging the Internet to drive sales and advertise their products to millions and billions of active users.

5. Ankara Business

Big offices in Lagos often hold all-trades day every once in a while. Nigerians, including myself, generally have a natural and cultural affinity for the Ankara. Maybe it is for its characteristic art or just pan-africanism.

Either ways, it is chance to do business. From corporate to inners, people have been using the Ankara to make many fashion wears.

You may want to go into the design, especially if you have the skill; or you just want to sell the material to those who have the skill or want to sew. Both directions would return money if you know your onions.

Let me give you a hint into what I mean; go online, for instance, and you will see on Facebook and Instagram how people are advertising their Ankara designs and materials. You could strike a deal with a designer to be their supplier, you may try at first and fail, but that’s the thing with business.

You could also advertise on your social media pages, starting from friends and family, and then to others. Ankara is part of our clothing style in Nigeria, so you are sure to make it big as soon as you start penetrating the market.

Whether you are a Nigerian who is based here or you are just planning to visit Nigeria for exploration purpose please make sure you try some of these foods when next you come visiting.

Check below a comprehensive list of some of the most delicious Nigerian food to try

1. Okra Soup

Okra is one of the most popular soup in Africa. If you are a Nigerian man, and you have never tasted Okra soup before, you are really doing a wrong thing and you might not get it right on until you have a plate of okra soup.

The soup is made from a greenish plant pod called Okra and it has a slippery feel when rubbing on the hand. Just like that, it also has a slippery feel in the throat. Okra is best prepared with various things like assorted meat, stockfish, cow skin and even crayfish. Some professionals who understands the health benefit of this splendid West African Cuisine will add a bit of bitterleaf to it. By the time all of these is cooked together, one might forget his or her name after having a plate of it.

Okra can be served with any of these swallows, Eba, Fufu, Amala, Wheat or Semo.

2. Egusi Soup

Egusi soup is made from the melon seed. If you have never tasted this West African Cuisine, then you have not started living. Egusi is peculiar to the Yorubas and Igbo in Nigeria but it isn't only taken in Nigeria but almost all African countries. It can be served with semo, Eba or pounded yam.

In fact, Yorubas especially people from Ondo, Ekiti, Kogi part of Nigeria takes more of egusi and pounded yam (Iyan).

You can stay all day without eating after taking Pounded Yam and Egusi soup.

3. Fried Snail and Pepper Sauce

Growing up as a child was not too easy. However, one of the few seasons I was always happy to see as a kid is the raining season. Since we do not have the money to purchase enough snail in the market, we will always wait for the raining season when we can pick plenty of snails after each downpour.

Fried snail with pepper sauce can also be a good deal for men and women of the Nigerian beer association. If you know you belong to this group, when next you go to restaurant kindly request for a plate of spiced fried snail with pepper sauce, but make sure you have enough cash at hand because you might drink beyond budget.

Reasonably, the snail is one of the best meat to eat, it is bloodless with low calories and cholesterol.

4. Efo Riro

Hmm!! I remember those days my father will have to settle disputes between different couples in our community because of infidelity. One common thing the women always say then was that their rival has given their husbands Efo to eat.

Efo Riro has dissolved more marriages than the court ever did. In Yoruba land, people would say the owner of the soup is the husband owner, Olobe lo ni Oko the soup they are referring to is the Efo Riro.

Efo is the Yoruba name for vegetable, and it can be garnished with different assorted like meat, dry fish, stockfish, crayfish, cow skin, fresh fish and others. You can enjoy a plate of Efo riro with Semo, Eba, Fufu, Pounded Yam or wheat.

5. Ofada Rice

This is rice which is locally grown. Ofada Rice has a unique stew that is best for eating it. You need to see the way and manner people lose their manners in a party or event at the sight of Ofada rice. People would stop at nothing until they are served Ofada rice. Meanwhile, it is important we give you a clue on the best way to enjoy this West African Cuisine.

TIP: Do not pour the Ofada rice in a plate. The food is usually severed in a leaf. The leaf isn't for consumption but it sure has a way of complimenting the Ofada rice. The stew and all of the assorted in it should be inside that leaf it was severed with. You are only allowed to put the leaf inside a flat plate but make sure you eat directly from the leaf.

6. Amala Gbegiri and Ewedu

Ooopss. If there was anything that is always making blush for being a Yoruba man is this meal. Amala is made from Yam while Gbegiri is made from bean and Ewedu is a vegetable on its own. The reason why Oyo people have added Gbegiri to their Amala has not been theoretically proven but it has been practically proven.

Once you finish a bowl of Amala Gbegiri and Ewedu, you will start seeing people like Oduduwa, Oranmiyan those were the fathers of great Yoruba people.

It is also important that we give you a clue about the best way to enjoy this delicious Nigerian food.

TIP 1: On no reason should you use a spoon to eat this food. It becomes something else the moment you pick spoon or fork to eat this food, there is a feeling of accomplishment that comes with using your bare hands after washing them though to consume this food. If there was any time you need to get your hands stained, it is when eating Amala Gbegiri and Ewedu.

TIP 2: Make sure you are severed the Amala Gbegiri and Ewedu in the same plate. What God has joined together do not allow any waiter to put asunder. Make sure the Amala Gbegiri and Ewedu are served on the same plate, even all the assorted should be on the same plate with the food. You can also do yourself a favour of cold drink after consuming Amala.

7. Edikaikong Soup

This Nigerian cuisine is peculiar to the Cross River and Akwa Ibom people of Nigeria. However, the food has found its way into some other countries in West Africa.

And what will be your excuse for not having Edikaikong in your next family breakfast/launch/dinner outing? Even if you don't have a family yet, be nice to yourself, order for a plate of Edikaikong soup served with your favourite morsel. You can also wash it down with a very cold drink.

8. Afang
One thing that can easily unite us as a Nation and Continent is our food. Afang is peculiar to the people of the southern part of Nigeria. However, some African countries also take it but they have a local name for it. This soup is highly medicinal especially for any who are just recovering after an illness. One can serve only Afang soup as a meal or better still you can take it with any of your favourite morsel.

9. Afang

One of the fairytales I heard while growing up was that beans makes one grow taller. Whoever was the originator of that lie, it is left to God to decide his or her fate. Most of us who were vertically challenged change our meal to beans, I for one ate beans almost every day and you still need to see how tall I'm now, lols. I have listened to many people complain about beans, I don't like beans o, it makes me visit the toilet more than the times I blink. You haven't tried beans and corn, after I got tired of eating just beans, I learnt about (Adalu) i.e beans and corn. If you try this meal, your perception about beans will change almost Immediately.

And you might be wondering if they sell beans and corn in restaurants, oh yeah. I had that same thinking until my boss order for beans and corn in one of the popular restaurants in Lagos.

Celebrities / Basketmouth Reacts To Simi’s Fuvk You Challenge (video) by weares4lent: 8:38am On Apr 02, 2019
Nigerian ace comedian, Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth has reacted to Simi's new version of the fuvk you challenge.

The fuvk you Challenge is now a popular trend among celebrities in Nigeria, Kizz Daniel should be given an appraisal for starting it and stars like Falz, Dremo, vector and others came out to release their own version. The challenge which had both the viable artists and upcoming artists doing a different version of the song.

Sonorous singer, Simi initially did one before but had to delete it because of the association of tribal mark people. The singer got more than she bargained for when she posted the first version of her own fuvk you challenge which was not too pleasant to people with the tribal mark, especially the veteran tribal mark model Adetutu OJ who seem displeased with one of Simi's line which goes thus: "Oro pe mo kola ni". The lines actually meant you think I'm a fool?. It is a general saying among people in society and people don't even raise a fuss over it. However, the veteran model, Adetutu OJ took it as an insult to people with tribal marks.

Simi was fast to do the needful by apologizing and taking down her first version of the fuvk you challenge.

Meanwhile, in a spirit of correctness and in a bid to join other music stars who have dropped their own version, Simi sang another version to the fuvk you challenge which she dropped dissing lines for that unfortunate guy who thinks he can eat and run.

Before now, many artists who had dropped their own version, always blame the lady, their dissing lines are always to the woman. However, Simi did something quite different, maybe because she was trying to be an advocate for other women, she threw some punchy lines at men who cheat.

The lines in her new fuvk you challenge has caught the attention of Basketmouth who reposted her own version of the song with a funny caption.
