This is a most unfortunate development. I do not know the couple but I can draw an analogy from many couples I know. Many Nigerian men mete out inhuman treatment to their wives in the course of marriage. Most of this occurs when the man comes into money and starts to use it to acquire the services of other women. He conveniently forgets that the woman married him when he had practically nothing! In the Ajuonuma's case, I can only come to the conclusion that the wife must have been treated worse than a concubine, for her to take such a drastic step, but I may be wrong. We all need to treat women who stick with us,for better for worse, BETTER. |
I think it would have been fitting to deploy the urn containing his ashes, in space. |
The two men (Fela and Abiola) are no saints. No matter what we have against Abiola, he is still widely acclaimed as the only person in Nigerian history to win a free and fair election. Now, Fela, on the other hand, was denied the opportunity to test his popularity at the polls, which was a huge mistake by the military Govt, as he would most certainly have fallen at the first hurdle. I must be one of his biggest fans (musically) but that does not prevent me from condemning the man for his lifestyle which adversely affected so many people who saw him as a role model. |
Likely winners Women : Victoria Azarenka, because she has improved considerably and is the form player in the women's draw. Men: Novak Djokovic, because hard court is his best surface, and he has beaten the only guy capable of stopping him (Roger), two years in a row here. |

Food na small, wait until you are denied bedroom action, you will hate yourself |
Good effort by these girls though some of them look over 25. You can't give more than you know, and clearly their coach didn't have enough knowledge to outwit the Americans. |
the golf 4 is a good car as I own one and it hardly gives problems, but I would not recommend using it for this type of activity because of the road conditions and somewhat high maintenance. I would recommend the Camry 96/97 models for sheer workhorse ability. However, the 10-year limitation on cars means you may not want to 'smuggle' any model before 2002 in. They are still available for $2000 - $3500. I guess you are looking for a car under 1m. |
Well, here is a word of warning: STAY AWAY FROM EMEKA ONUORAH a 'clearing agent' at TIN CAN PORT. He is an OBT specialist and most likely will collect your money and eventually render you stories. |
I think the question arises because we all know how hard it is to be completely clean in Nigeria. People who moonlight as Pastors will probably disagree. However, there is a tried and tested formula which the likes of Rochas subscribe to: steal money by way of Govt. contracts and then 'contest' for public office, where the jamboree goes into a frenzy. |
Good job, Pidzo. Just that I don't see any cricket coverage? ![]() |

Andro Blaze: Probably to hasty with this comment.I agree. However, I still believe she is far too inconsistent to win regularly. |
afam4eva: Apart from her arse, she still can still play good tennis. She won a major compeition some months back and got to the Quater/Semi final of the french open.major competition in terms of grand slams or ATP 1000? The title she won last was the Madrid Open this year. I have watched tennis for at least 20 years and I do not believe Serena can win another grand slam. However, she has 13 slams so her place in tennis history is secured. She just doesn't have the physical prowess over the rest of the field that she used to have. That goes for Venus as well, both of them don't have any consistency to win big titles. By the way, Serena lost in the first round of the French open to unseeded Virginie Razzano 6-4,6-7,3-6. |
clemmonce: see one typical nigerian talkin about 4th mainland bridge wat about u maintainin wat u hav. abeg go buy some sense 4 yaba it is nt too expensive.Yes, e dey cheap for Yaba Psychiatric Hospital ![]() |
afam4eva: This is really embarassing. Venus Williams has lost steam and should think of retiring. Her sister, Serena still has it in her and has a couple of years to go.Serena? the only thing she got left is that fat arse... |
OP,this is a wonderful thread. I need some help, my mother is Itsekiri and will be 80 in a couple of weeks. We would love to surprise her with an Itsekiri theme cake but, can't get hold of any images of the traditional symbols of Itsekiri land. Also, the few words i picked up while holidaying in my mother's village can't help me in the interpretation of "happy birthday mama" would be glad for assistance. |
