I followed Koonlay post and engaged him at some point and he confirmed that he included his law school certificate. You can verify this from the thread.

weckl this is a new angle to this matter. If it is evaluated as two or more certificates it is two or more certificates. It cannot be professional degree. Koonlay's post was clear.

From koonlay post, he evaluated both his LLB & law school certificate and the outcome from WES was bachelor degree and one year postgraduate diploma which is equivalent to 2 or more certificate on the EE. Those that i heard got PPR evaluated only their LLB from WES and chose professional degree. It may sound absurd but that is what it is.

I can assure you that, those who used WES but claimed professional degree were lucky because it didn't affect their CRS score.

Already you've said if you didn't use professional degree you won't have received ITA. That, to me, sounds like misrepresentation.
If your ECA says bachelors degree equivalence then its bachelors degree equivalence.
The ECA is not for fun.
The ultimate decision is yours to make in the end. You may be lucky.

So it is expected as confirmed from others in this group that IRCC will view her WES ECA report as 2 or more certificate. But haven't seen IRCC view only LLB evaluation by WES as a bachelor degree but as a professional degree.

Yes it was. According to her WES evaluated her law school certificate as a Diploma and the other as a 4 year Bachelors

My sister inlaw had her law degree evaluated by WES instead of IQAS. Her CRS score was short by a couple of point compared to her simulated score pre evaluation because she had selected professional degree in anticipation of WES awarding the same point as IQAS.

@veritas3..Thanks for the clarification. Please can anybody in the house share what is the process involve in getting Law school to send the BL transcript to WES for evaluation? Or since my spouse already have the law school certificate, will it be sufficient to mail it(ie courier) to WES for further evaluation ?

Bros, it's obvious that he didn't send only the LLB for evaluation na and there's no way WES will evaluate only LLB to mean two certificates. What you should be asking is the process of getting Law School to send the BL transcript to WES for evaluation.

That is what i need clarification from @koonlay5 since the report he shared is showing bachelor degree (4yrs) and a post graduate diploma. Was it the inclusion of the law school certificate for evaluation that made it 2 or more certificates or just the LLB . I need answer to this question pls.

IQAS has a better evaluation for Law than WES.

I actually meant LLB. Already sent to WES for evaluation. Never knew about IQAS evaluating LLB as professional degree until some few days ago when i was going thru this forum. Anyway if my spouse is evaluated as 2 or more certificate and her IELTS result which we are hoping will be a minimum of 8777 LRWS, the CRS point will be 462.

Waooo Congratulations. Please my spouse is a lawyer too and her LLNB is on-going under WES evaluation. Please i will like know what degree was awarded by the university? Also did your spouse include the law school transcript in the course of the evaluation with WES cos am wondering how it was accessed as two or more certificates. I dont mind if you can share the WES report to know how it is stated. I recently learnt from this forum that WES evaluate LLB as a bachelor degree (4yrs) but there is remark that says "The Bachelor of Laws is the first professional degree in law in Nigeria and represents the completion of three years of professional study in a Common Law Jurisdiction". Was that the same report your spouse got from WES? Pls kindly throw more light on this.

I would like to go straight to key points:
1. This group provides all the information you will need. We wrote IELTS in Nov 2016. My spouse, the PA, had 7.5 in Listening. We were told it was fine but we all know what that meant. That made us go to BC two more times.
2. My spouse is a lawyer. Folks here will remember I asked that if lawyers, despite being accessed as two or more certificate by WES can still input as Entry to professional/Masters as written on CIC site. So, Despite ours being accessed as two or more certificate, we choose to use Masters. When we received our GCMS notes, we realized that two or more certificate was used and our CRS dropped, though higher than the cut off ITA at that time. Please use the correct WES evaluation
