The actor confirmed to Hottestdaniel that his mum, Mrs. Victoria Okafor had been battling with diabetes for years. She died 90 years old. May her soul rest in peace.

Davido has been doing ‘shakara’ for a while now, leaving hints of working with one of Nigeria’s foremost producers.

In some of his songs, you could hear him constantly mentioning Don Jazzy’s name like someone enjoying a sexual intercourse and moaning the name of the giver.

Finally, he has made a decision to work with the producer or Don Jazzy has finally agreed to work with Davido – whichever it is, they have a common goal, they are going to make music together for his album.

We may not entirely trust Davido’s musical disposition [he tries] when matched with Don Jazzy’s skills but we are sure the Don will brush it up real nice.

The Young Thug/Tha Carter saga continues

Some time ago, Young Thug announced that his new album would be called Carter 6, and the entire internet simultaneously broke out into fits of laughter. At the time, the idea was nonsensical. Lil Wayne was the clear–and successful–proprietary of the Tha Carter franchise (which turns 11 years old in June), and Young Thug’s real name isn’t even Carter. It’s Jeffrey Williams. The only way the album title made any sense, is if Thug ran with the rampant comparisons that were being drawn between him and Lil Wayne, only made stronger by their collaborative track, “Take Kare.”

Since then, one would assume that Young Thug and Lil Wayne’s relationship isn’t where it was when they made “Take Kare.” Birdman, who has taken Thug under his wing–and danced in almost all of his music videos–is currently in the midst of a feud that has Weezy suing him for $51 million dollars, and shouting “F*ck Cash Money,” the only label he’s ever been on, on stage at shows. Hip-Hop’s most precious bro-mance is currently up in flames, and Thug, who’s every movement suggests that he is to Birdman now what Lil Wayne was to Birdman 15 years ago, seems to have no problem assuming Wayne’s position.

Today, in an interview with Complex, the woman who shot the controversial image used on Thug’s Carter 6 cover, Sandy Kim, revealed some of the details of the shoot, which involved her having to get naked to help Thug feel comfortable with the idea. Read an excerpt below.

Carter 6 is expected on April 17.

Tell me how you and Thug came to work together. Was the concept for the cover his, or yours?
Young Thug had an idea for the concept and he also wanted someone young and new to shoot his cover. His team reached out to me and I said of course. I’m a huge fan of his music and he’s definitely pushing boundaries in rap musically and aesthetically. I wouldn’t have done it if our visions didn’t line up and he wasn’t down for the type of asthetic I normally bring to my work. When I got to the set he and his team had ideas, I brought some of my own ideas to the table. I asked him if he would be down to get naked and he was like “Bleep no, I’m not getting naked, you get naked!” Artists should totally be down to commit to the vision they’re asking for, so I got naked and then we shot it. The experience was great, his team was shooting dice on set.

So to confirm: he is nude on the cover?
Yeah, mostly.

Lil Wayne targets Young Thug over Carter 6.
When Young Thug first rise to prominence over 18 months ago, he made it quite clear that his biggest influence rap wise was Lil Wayne. This was all the more evident when some of his earlier works leaked onto the web with him sounding almost identical to Tunechi. As time passed, Thugger has become a rap sensation in his own right, with a sound and style unique to himself. Though he has been affiliated with Birdman and the Rich Gang collective, Thug and Wayne have only collaborated on one record. The reason for this became all the more clear when label drama between Lil Wayne and Birdman’s Cash Money Records hit the news wire in late 2014.
Since then, Wayne has been rather vocal in his displeasure with YMCMB and his inability to release his long awaited The Carter V album. With all of the shots that have been thrown his way, Birdman has opted to remain mum on the subject. Young Thug on the other hand shocked fans when he announced that his forthcoming solo album would be titled Carter 6. Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Thug held a photo shoot for the cover art entirely in the nude.
Lil Wayne has kept his frustrations focused squarely on Birdman, until now. With Thug’s album set for release next week, Tunechi set his crosshairs on Young Thug during a recent strip club appearance when he gave the crowd some clear instructions.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, on Thursday accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of bribing officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the 23 Local Government Areas of the state to manipulate Saturday’s Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in its favour.
Addressing journalists in the state capital, Chairman of the APC National Progressives Network, Retired Air Vice Marshal Ali El-Rufai, said they are aware of a secret meeting held between the PDP and INEC officials aimed at carrying out the nefarious act.
He alleged that the PDP during the meeting promised the INEC officials mouth-watering offers to rig the elections in favour of the ruling party.
According to him, apart from the huge money offered to the electoral officials, the ruling party, also promised them a house each at the Millennium City, in the state capital.
The offer, he said, would be fulfilled upon each of the officials delivering their areas to the ruling party at the Saturday’s election.
The retired military officer, who is also an older brother of the APC governorship candidate in the state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, added that the ruling party, also planned electronic hacking of the card readers in APC strongholds, and also alleges that the PDP had equally planned to hire thugs and arm them with dangerous weapons to violently attack polling units where APC is popular.
He expressed fear that such act portends danger to the polity and therefore calls on the Federal Government and the International Community to caution the governor, as Chief Security Officer of the state, against acts capable of disrupting the relative peace in the state.
But the PDP Chairman in the state, Mr Abubakar Haruna has refuted the allegation, describing it as baseless and false.
Instead, the PDP Chairman says it is the APC that is attempting to manipulate the forthcoming elections, having succeeded its rigging techniques during the March 28 election.
He also accused the APC of recruiting thugs to be used to disrupt the election, having seen that there is no way it can win the governorship and House of Assembly elections on Saturday.
On his part, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Kaduna state, Mr Hussain Mahuta also denied knowledge of any meeting between the Electoral officers and the PDP aimed at rigging the election for the ruling party.
He however, says the commission has been busy on how to ensure a free and fair election on Saturday and how to improve on the successes it recorded on the March 28 presidential election.
The REC also told Channels Television that all sensitive and non-sensitive materials have been distributed to the 23 local government areas of the state as part of efforts to achieve a hitch free poll.
