nnaiah:Congratulations nnaiah...I am happy you got your critical skill visa. You have joined many others that are successfully via this forum. Congratulations!!! |
mekuscato:You dont have to send your transcript by mail to UCT. Certify it and upload it on your application page. All UCT admission application is online including documentation. Yes other school close to cape town are UWC,CPUT. |
Richtune:Is there any reason why you choose this route? obviously it is a more expensive and tiring journey dear....Air is best. |
Physeryor:You are welcome! |
educsam245:For you to apply for PR under extra ordinary skill, you will need evidence of Critical Skill Visa as a requirement. Firstly you need to apply for Critical Skill Visa and later apply for PR. Critical Skill Visa allows you to study only on part time basis. Not necessarily a cancellation of your study visa but my advise is for you to complete your studies before you change conditions on your visa or apply for new Critical skill visa. |
olystic:This is a south African professional body not Nigeria. For Mechanical Engineering in South Africa please contact ECSA Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) https://www.ecsa.co.za/default.aspx 1st Floor, Waterview Corner Building, 2 Ernest Oppenheimer Avenue, Bruma Lake Office Park, Bruma, 2198 011 - 607 9500/ 9539/011 616 1855 |
biazarre:Please do it yourself, you don't need an agent. You can budget between 250k - 350k, to cover SAQA evaluation, Membership of professional body, Visa application fees, Critical skill assessment by professional body. etc. |
prodam:Great! use the link below to proceed with the SAQA evaluation http://www.saqa.org.za/index.php https://dfqeas.saqa.co.za/dfqeas/user/home |
hola277:firstly you must prove you have the required level of Education and experience required to work as a plumber in SA. usually its five years post graduate experience, you will join the professional body relevant to your skill area, process SAQA etc |
Direct residence permits This category of permit is applicable to foreigners who have been residing in South Africa on the basis of their work permits for a minimum period of five years, their spouses and also to dependents of South African citizens/permanent residence permit holders. To apply for a direct residency permit you need to complete Form BI-947. Residency-on-other-grounds permits This category of permits applies to foreigners who: are in possession of a permanent work offer in South Africa, or have exceptional skills and qualifications intend to establish a business in South Africa qualify as Refugees in terms of Section 27(c) of the Refugees Act qualify as retired persons are financially independent are relatives (biologically or judicially adopted) of a South African citizen/permanent residence permit holder You can apply for all Permanent Residency Permits at the Department of Home Affairs, at the nearest office in the South African province in which you intend to live and work. Alternatively, if you are based overseas, you can apply at your nearest South African embassy, mission or cunsulate in the country in which you live. |
elliothigh:Yes you can apply for PR on other ground provided you can prove continuous work permit and employment for the 5 years. |
prodam:the first step is to check above post if your skill is listed as critical skill. once you confirm that the next step is SAQA evaluation. |
Luxxycool:Yes print all your statements of accounts, stamped and signed including the one questioned. if you can get a letter from your bank branch to confirm that the specific account is a salary account and it is yours. submit all of them including all the previous documents in support of your application. Also write a letter to clarify to the embassy and attach proves...the bank letter and statements. you will be fine at the end. |
prodam:firstly, you need take some time and review relevant pages and find answers to your queries. as an IT personnel you can also look it up online. if you don't understand any of the info..you can come here and ask specific question as it relates. secondly i need to understand what you mean by task network...and how you intend to "commence" in SA. after we can dig further and see your options. |
Luxxycool:your post above suggest that you don't have money in your account and you hurriedly deposit 450k because of the visa application irrespective if its a salary account. the embassy does not need to confirm your bank statement again before denial! because that action is questionable. giving you 10 working days to reapply is just to confirm their suspicion that you are not a genuine visitor! because the money you claim in your account is not your own and you won't reapply. |
gnike1:reapply immediately...include a letter in your application explaining the error of judgement by highlighting the study permit, attach it to the letter or staple together. Also in your letter of introduction draw up a table to show all attached documents in support of your application. on each of your supporting document put the figure on it. |
TimoBriggs:My advise is you book directly with an hotel in SA. don't use proxy. This can be done online with your card and obtain a verifiable booking. |
TimoBriggs:5 days - 10 days is fine. book directly with the hotel. |
intrinsicniyi:Hello, you can contact the international student office at UJ or just walk in...the office is best to guide you. Also ensure you follow closely programmes organised by that office. |
adeniyy01:Stop using agent. do it yourself. You also need to prove to the embassy that your previous documents submitted are genuine and credible. The burden of prove is on you for any future applications. However if you don't have the requirements for the category of visa sought for, it is better you consider not applying till you can confidently meet the requirements yourself. |
mekuscato:UWC, CPUT. |
Lukgaf:Congratulations on your admission to UKZN! honestly there is noting you can do to fast track the visa approval process...you have to wait it out. however you can notify your department all the way. |
mekuscato:Hello..Mathematics is one of the STEM subjects that is critical in South Africa, your chances of Job prospects is high but you must join relevant professional bodies as a teacher to enable you practice and better job prospects. Apply to more than One university for your masters in any of the mathematical fields you mention either by research or coursework and thesis for better result. UCT does not require TOEFL if your medium of instruction is English. Your transcript and secondary school certificate already supoort this. |
Duchessitua:. Teaching jobs are available in South Africa, but critical in the STEM field. but for you to practice as a teacher in SA you need to Join relevant professional bodies in your field and also get certified by them, you need SAQA and working permit. Getting a teaching job is not the first step and no employer will be willing to employ where these basics. |
cutieme:firstly, you need to apply for SAQA by sending your academic documents for evaluation. you need to join an association in your chosen field and apply for membership and skill confirmation. you need to prove 5 years work experience in your profession. |
Thecassanova:the document is the same when applying for PR, the other documents relating to work experience and association are now waived. |
