nenababe: Hi Mrs Bee,
Congrats on your safe and fine delivery. Trust you and baby are doing great. Pls can you tell me the total fee you paid for your delivery eventually? Secondly will also appreciate if u can enlighten me on how to book appointment with Southern Regional hospital, contact details and phone nos. The email posted earlier by another member is not responsive so maybe you can give me another address since you are still in Atlanta presently. Do they accept part payment in advance and will they accept a patient at 36weeks? Pls I need your reply urgently thanks.
Kind regards
nenababe
Hi,
The correct email is Ivette.Becerra-Tillman@southernregional.org. I mistakenly spelt it as Yvette.....

Hello peeps,

A very good morning to you all.

Wifey went to the states on Saturday via Delta (so POE was Atlanta). Everything went exceptionally well right from MMA till she got to the house in Atl (except that she had to wait like 2hrs to get picked up).
(i) On getting to Delta counter @ MMA, we met 2 old friends (one mine and the other, my wife's) that work for them. They assisted with all the necessary process to get boarding pass.
(ii) When going to board, she met another acquaintance that uses same salon as hers who took her to the front since she's pregnant. So she got to boarding gate and had enough time to rest b4 takeoff
(iii) Departure was on time and they even landed in ATL like 45mins early (pilot should be issued a speeding ticket grin)
(iv) Immigration officer just asked how come she's not traveling with hubby and daughter this time round (we've been travelling together in the last like 6yrs or so) and she just smiled. He than asked her how come she was carrying so much money to which my wife replied that she needs it for medical bills as she's pregnant and looking to have a baby here. Immig officer replier, Oh really? (didn't realize she is pregnant). Wifey was now directed to where to declare (if carrying over 10k) @ which point another officer advised her not to use Medicaid o. Said some people get away with it but it usually affects their chances of having visa renewed. Says have a nice stay and congrats in advance, byeee
(v) Wifey had to wait for pickup for like 2hrs. Got home, rested a little and her hostess insisted that she accompanies her to a naming ceremony in the afternoon (Nija and parry)
(vi) We've done our parts, now left baby for to do his/her's.

Shikena.

COJ1484: Hi Wemba, hope you guys are doing great? You have a very valid point. Please can you email me the name of hotel/accommodation you guys are lodging and also the owners no and email address so i can make arrangements against my coming in dec by God's grace. Also my email to yvette via that email address keeps bouncing back huh i guess i just have to keep communicating to her via the telephone huh. cheers
Hi COJ1484,

We're doing grand, tnx. Yourself?

We're not using a hotel o, its a friend that set us up with her cousin that happens to live not too far from the hospital. We actually have a relative that owns a house like 40mins away. Empty house o, can u imagine but a bit too far. We intend to move there after the birth sha.

So for obvious reasons, we chose to go with the rental option.

nenababe: Hello Wemba,

I have been researching for hospitals in Atlanta for birthing purpose within the $5k range(all-in fees). Please can you tell me if the $4k natural birth for above hospital comprise total fees for hospital, physician, epidural, lab. tests and pediatrician? Kindly give me the breakdown. Thanks and God bless.
Hi nenababe,

Its a package. It covers every thing but epidural (extra $500). CS is additional $2k. But the financial manager did mention that its for a 1-day hospital stay. She must def be joking as the package she sent us says 2day hospital stay

Good luck

Mrs Bee: Hii. Am here till Nov, using d same hospital. Where is ur wife gonna be staying. Cos it's so boring here, wouldn't mind aving a company. Anyway, I hope she's booked her appointment with the hospital already. Hollaa via email. Cheers
@ Mrs Bee,

Hi there. She'll be staying somewhere in Riverdale, like 15mins drive from the Hospital itself. Friends/family that we have in ATL live like 40mins - 1 hr away so we decided to rent a place ($900/mth). She spoke with the financial manager, Yvette sumtin and yes her appointment has been booked for next week.

I'm sure the company will be very welcomed. Share ur email and I will forward to her.

Hope you are keeping well and everything's looking up.
Cheers

Hello peeps,

Thank you all so much for all the information that has been posted on this forum. I have been a silent follower for the past 4 months, absorbing all the intel and now executing my plan. Wifey and I have decided to use the Women Community Care of Southern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta for a number of reasons (e.g normal delivery-4k, C.S - 6k etc). She will be flying direct via Delta to Atlanta (hope we wont have any issues) and I will most likely be joining her a few days to the EDA. I heard the Atlanta crew are usually difficult so we're keeping our fingers crossed. We've been to the US a number of times so don't expect there should be too much wahala sha.

She's already 32weeks gone and leaves @ the end of the month.

Keep you all posted

Cheers
