Business › Re: If Given ₦2m To Turn Into ₦10m Within One Year, What Business Would You Do? by werisetogether(m): 2:51pm On Sep 27, 2025 |
RadianceRR: If you hand me ₦2m and say “bros, turn it into ₦10m in just one year,” let’s be honest first, that’s a 400% return in 12 months. In Nigeria today, even some yahoo boys no dey see that kind turnover consistently. 😅
But since we’re talking hypothetical, let me break it down.
1. Mini-Importation + Aggressive Online Sales
Take ₦1.5m and import hot items from China: things like smartwatches, sneakers, hair wigs, or even kitchen blenders that go viral on TikTok.
Landed cost per unit: ₦4k. Selling price: ₦10k. Profit per item: ₦6k.
Buy 375 units = ₦1.5m. Sell everything = ₦3.75m. Profit = ₦2.25m.
Repeat 3 cycles in one year = ₦6m+ profit.
Add your original ₦2m, total ≈ ₦8m+. With mad marketing and a bit of luck, maybe you hit ₦10m.
2. Real Estate Flipping (Small Scale)
Buy land in a developing area for ₦2m.
With the right timing, one year later that land could be worth ₦3.5m–₦5m (especially if govt suddenly decides to build road or estate spring up nearby).
Risk: land no go appreciate as expected, or omo-onile wahala. But if stars align, that’s serious gain.
3. POS / Agent Banking Network
₦2m can buy 10 POS terminals, brand them, and place them with trusted agents in high-traffic areas.
Each terminal can bring in ₦50k–₦100k profit monthly. Multiply by 10, that’s ₦500k–₦1m monthly.
In 12 months = ₦6m–₦10m (if wahala no enter). But managing agents and security is another story.
4. High-Risk Zone: Crypto/Forex
Put ₦2m in crypto trading or forex. If you’re skilled and lucky, 400% return is possible.
But the same way it can fly to ₦10m, it can also crash to ₦200k in one bad move. 🚀💀
Only for people with lion heart.
🎯 The Real Gist
Turning ₦2m to ₦10m in one year is possible only with high risk, high hustle, or high luck.
If you want safe growth, think 20–50% per year (so ₦2m becomes ₦2.5m–₦3m).
If you want sharp growth, be ready for sweat, wahala, and sometimes heartbreak.
So if someone promises you ₦10m from ₦2m with “no stress,” just laugh small and hold your wallet tight. Na so dem dey start scam stories. 😏 Thanks for this straight-up advice Let's hope the OP is just being hypothetical Slow and steady may sound like old school, but it's lasting. With less "stories that touch the heart"... |

Tinubu na you do this one o. LOL But seriously, don't you think ads on Nairaland can be a reflection of the general demand & values of Nigerians? Lots of Nigerians seem to love betting & gambling Can't count the number of times I'll be enjoying a TikTok skit before they suddenly segue into the betting platform that sponsored the video. These betting guys are aggressive advertisers, wallahi! Do I support betting? Nope. The slow and steady way is always the best approach to lasting financial freedom But I don't think many people think that way these days. More people prefer to chase "financial breakthroughs" and "cashing out" So let's not be too hard on Uncle Seun. He has bills to pay, like everyone else... |

Just because of one explosion, you are so quick to ridicule the WHOLE country. Does your logic also apply to far more advanced countries that have explosions rocking their facilities? No!
You are just programmed to detest and castigate your OWN country at ANY given instance. Thanks for sharing Found your approach a bit funny But seriously... Why is this even headline news on the largest forum in Africa? Of course, bad news gets more clicks than good news (and more clicks attract more potential advertisers..) Recently remember hearing someone say that the local CNN broadcasts in the US are completely different from the nicer image they project to the world Why can't we at least look for ways to better manage our own narrative? |

Peacecore: Hello, guys!
It's become a norm in our societies today seeing pastors, evangelists, and upcoming Xtian brothers and sisters preaching along the roads, in the markets, in parks etc. I have also noticed that less or no individual listens to their preaching because of busy schedules.
My question is; is it really necessary? Does it serve the purpose it's intended? What's your take on this? Thanks for sharing this This question always occurs to me whenever I see them Truth be told This seems to have become more of a habit people do to score self-righteous points Because as a valid means of evangelism, this activity has almost no Biblical backing. If the purpose of evangelism is to engage potential converts, the activity is grossly ineffective. Kinda similar to all those "promos" where you see sweating deadlocked dancers by the roadside. How many people really stop to BUY the products being peddled? |

Just completed this 1939 Agatha Christie classic YEARS after buying the novel. (I bought it Dec 2013)
Fun fact: this is the original 1939 title. The current title is And Then There Were None
Yet another fun fact: this is the best-selling mystery novel of all-time. After reading the novel, I think I know why!
Anyway, completing this novel was a personal victory for me as it's been a while since I've read any novel.
As usual, didn't solve this case, even though I thought I followed the clues.
Agatha Christie is a master at subtle misdirection.
Have always loved reading mystery novels while growing up.
Who else loves stories on Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, Miss McGillicuddy, and so on?

DEKOL: Hiring a new employee can be a time consuming yet important exercise. Some of the true benefits of using a trusted recruitment partner in the search for right candidates for the available jobs
In business, time is money and using a Recruitment Agency is a time saver. They will save you time because they take care of the beginning steps of the hiring process. Finding the right applicants to interview will take a great amount of time and effort.
Recruitment Agencies have their own database of qualified applicants that they can pull directly from.
Administrative costs also need to be taken in consideration of facilitating the process, sifting through the CVs, initial conversations, the list goes on – these all take time, and as we all know time is money.
A Recruitment Agency will see to it that these steps are taken care of before you meet anyone for your own interviews. You will feel assured that anyone you meet has already passed these tests. We have been privileged to have trained and recruited from the lowest cadre of Drivers to Managing Directors in different industries /sectors
