I told him on whatsapp that I wasnt supporting anybody. Its just annoying you ignoring someone's messages and you updating you whatsapp status. It also showed you had no respect for your clients.

People been complaining much about him and the way he handled/handles things were/are very bad

@ the bolded, Smiles! Maybe daaz business
I think you missed my point @ the bolded. His being a "worthy customer" isn't about the size of his order or anything. I would've said the same for anyone that you've only shipped in a pen for. I believe the most successful businesses today became successful by treating all clients regardless of status with utmost respect and courtesy. Forget this attitude we have in Nigeria where people are treated according to the size of their pockets. I think once we become dispassionate in our business dealings and realize we aren't doing anyone a favor by being in business, we'll start getting it right. I do however think you're on the right path but need to go - slow just a little bit.

Chisomk9, Unfortunately, I am refusing you my serivices henceforth. Whoever paid into his account should request for refund and if you dont, You are on your own.

When you are ready to do the needful, Then you will abide by the rules and regulations. Until then, I am refusing you services.

Disclaimer: Anybody that does business on Chicago/Texas/Kansas and New Orleans thread with Chisom is at their own risk
Guys, guys, guys. Y'all need to chilax and not let this escalate. Let me weight in on my observations. I believe everyone in this web of business needs to have a basic understanding of their role. The absence of that understanding is what's causing all these conflict. Here's what I think.

@ ChisomK9, firstly, I'm totally disappointed as to how you're willing to destroy your business relationship / reputation and friendship over an issue that is otherwise trivial. Your refusal to refund @GBOLAHAN like he requested in my opinion indicates you don't have class. Even though you're right in calling out @Daaz001, you should never have made your refund dependent on Daaz's decision. The classy thing to do would've been to refund Gbolahan then tackle the pickers on your own. That no doubt would've won you the support and respect of everyone. I just see too much needless ego on display in your responses and action.

@ Daaz001, I believe it's totally wrong for a picker to refuse any form of responsibility for a defective good. If a good lands and is different from what was agreed, the picker is liable to the deal finder. Everyone has to bear some kind of responsibility - the final buyer/end user does that by buying a gadget without any guarantee beyond the pickup date, the deal finder does so by being liable to the buyer / end user and the picker as a matter of necessity also has to be liable to the deal finder. Any break in this chain of responsibility is sure to create conflict and that's what we are witnessing. I once collected an 8 plus from the Indianapolis picker and my first glance at the phone, I knew something was wrong with the screen. When I got it checked out, it turns out it's a board problem that'll cost me an arm and leg to fix. Bad market, Na so I take upgrade by force to iPhone 8 plus! What's my point? Without the picker having to be liable for such oversight, what's to make him careful in scrutinizing items before they're picked up? Why should he bother if his attitude is " if I done pick, I done pick "? While it'll be ridiculous to say the picker should refund the deal finder, I believe there should be some form of compensation in terms of reduced pickup / shipping costs to make up for an error that you're LARGELY responsible for.

@ lionlee you've been the star man out here watching everybody's back. Running a business, handling brain wracking logistics and having to time to insert yourself into ego-driven disputes, I doff my hat in respect. However, this is still a business for you, let the attitude be less confrontational and maybe, @ dragnet should be called in when issues threaten to escalate. Regardless of his attitude, ChisomK9 has been a worthy customer that has aided your business and deserves some respect.

Let's all put our respective ego aside and resolve the issues. This conflict may be a blessing in disguise as it'll help everyone define and understand their respective roles. I see a EULA coming out of this lol.

I remember talking on the phone with omicpet this morning around 6am about praying for items to arrive as described by sellers/suppliers. It might appear funny but it's not because anything can happen to items in transit, who will now bear the cost?

I've said it before and i'll say it again, when there's a problem deal hunters and buyers should always be ready to shift ground as both parties must bear the loss. In this particular case, an outright refund might not be possible (put yourself is dealhunters shoe). A better solution would have been the deal hunter buying a new Stylus Pen and secondly, reduction in the cost price of the item to compensate for it's value that dropped as a result of the slight crack.
omicpet:
All said and done I’d like to propose that pickers at point of pick call deal senders abi na buyers when items turns out as not described (physical defects only) (Picker’s no get inner eyes to know software flaws ) , if deal buyer is not available to see the deal through or pick his call then FAILED PICKUP GBAM!!!

As for those who buy deals from dealers please ask for images, what you see is what you get .

As for the Imei part , It’s the sole responsibility of Dealhunters , finder and buyers to ask whichever party it is that they are in communication with and at cases when factory unlocked is stated a valid proof is required to follow it through .

Additions are welcomed
Expecting buyers / end users to bear ANY liability for a defective item is totally ridiculous. If an item is advertised and sold as being without defect, and it turns out not to be so, the liability should rest fully with the deal hunter and picker because they've clearly failed to conduct their DUE DILIGENCE. The buyer / end user reserves the right to either demand a full refund or a rebate if the item varies from what was advertised. If you aren't sure of the state of an item, then you should advertise it "as is" and the TLC should reflect the element of risk the buyer is now made to bear along with you. As deal hunters, whatever profit you're making is compensation for both your time spent in searching and negotiating deals and the element of risk borne in delivering your advertised goods. A buyer/end user shares no part of your "super profits" so NEVER expect him to share a part of your liability.

PoliticsRe: Politics Of Envy: What The World Can Learn From Nigeria’s Unfolding Disaster by wesley80(m):
Glad this has found its way here. I read this article earlier on Sunday and at the end of the first paragraph, I could already tell what it was about. The ideological battle between Socialist and Capitalist ideals still confronts every genuine economic analyst and when it's tainted with parochial sentiments, the result is articles like these that are both jaundiced and brilliantly naive. Ever so often, the likes of Cuba and Venezuela are held up as evidence of the futility of Socialist and welfarist policies (even though both countries received high doses of economic sabotage from the West), on the other hand, the massive success of China's central planning system and welfare policies that saw her pull out more than 500 million inhabitants from extreme poverty, collapsing her poverty rate from 88 percent in 1981 to 6.5 percent in 2012, is deliberately downplayed. What the writer failed to note in its attack on the growing welfarist leaning of the Buhari government was that unlike the modest economic growth rates in the pre-global economic recession of 2008 that saw an appreciable rise in the middle class, subsequent GDP growth boosted by rises in oil prices was followed by rising poverty rates across the country - a paradox of economic growth.

Every economist worth the tag recognizes Nigeria's dual economic nature with the existence of two parallel economies - the prosperous formal economy and the largely ignored informal economy. While the formal economy enjoys government attention and is easily the beneficiary of government's economic policies, the informal economy (where 80% of Nigerians find themselves) scrounges for attention and is suffocated by local taxes and non existent infrastructure. While this is hardly the strongest argument for embracing welfare policies, it is one that underlines the desperate need for less emphasis on capitalist and pro-market driven economic policies; this approach only benefits a minority and excludes the needy majority. Sustainability is another debate on its own.

I've focused on the economic argument because the rest is really a load of BS and the article should be seen as such. Alluding that Goodluck Jonathan's academic degree was part of the reason he was kicked out and Atiku's wealth is the reason he's resented by the poor is both wicked and nonsensical and clearly shows the article is no more than a "prestige piece" devoid of fact and basic common sense. Yes Nigerians have a resentment for a category of people. It isn't the elite as the writer would have us believe nor have we come to despise wealth and embrace poverty as evidence of piety - Nigerians, the larger majority as the polls proved - have united against a thieving political elite whose pro-market policies have over decades impoverished the larger populace.
