8 years ago when BlackBerry Bold 5 was MVP device. I was at the gas station to get some gas, I got down from the car to fetch the container for the generator fuel. This dude just walked up to me and greeted me like we knew each other all smiling and cheerful. He stretched out his arm and offered an hand shake and I received his hand with my right hand because I was holding my BlackBerry Bold 5 and some cash in the left hand... LMAO I regained conciousness of myself and that environment after the dude biked off and the gas station attendant asked me to pay for the gas. My Phone and the cash all gone, I felt some dizziness join sef. Crazy. Juju dey o I swear

Of course, I took it up... My pressure was on the buyer, the buyer is someone I've done one small transaction with before so I had slight traces, he sent me the money later after a lot of pressure, claiming it was reversed and he didn't know. I believe he later sent the real money when he saw how ready I was to tail him down.

The second one, it was on nairaland here, I bought funds from someone in the business thread and I sent her money, she got it, said she had received it, we closed the deal and later in the evening, she said the money was bounced, I didn't believe her since I didn't see the money in my account either. After 2 days of going and coming to the bank, the money dropped back to my account then I sent it to her again. Imagine if it's someone who's desperate and untraceable, the money will be gone for life!

With this two that happened, I used to be very careful and use my head, people's reaction and body language is what makes me decide whether or not to receive transfer from them and if I don't know you or you're acting suspicious, I move the money from the account to my other account to be on the safer side.

I was going to make a comment earlier but decided to chill, like you all know. I don't support easily branding someone a scammer, and in this particular case, the said buyer hasn't even done what you're accusing him of doing, he never made any transfer, either real or fake, so he is still innocent and you have no iota of proof whatsoever to brand him a scammer even if he may have potentials of being one.

So **in INEC's voice**, the alleged fraud is declared INCONCLUSIVE.

Gadgethunter should edit the post where you tagged the buyer a scammer, delete his number and the scam appellation, but you can leave the rest of the story if you please.

I'll say you are talking like that because they've not dupe you before with fake Alert. If the guy stands on collecting cash, he only wants to be safe and mind you, a serious buyer will walk into the bank and withdraw the money, at least for the guy to be able to drive him all around, he would have come across many ATMs, that's exactly how scammers act.

Now, my own experience. It happened to me 3 times last year and I fell victim twice, all was in Abuja. I lost over 150k in these 2 occasions. And one of them even came with a car. Till today (over 6 months) their numbers no dey ever go for once. Ever since then, I've concluded that if I didn't see Alert and also confirm in my mobile app, I'll never release the phone, infact, turn to bird, fish, mosquito, anything I'll never leave the phone. (Besides those occasions I've come across them, same suspicious act and after about an hour that I insisted that I won't leave it since the Alert never enter, they left and till today no Alert, just imagine).

Stick to your cash policy or no Alert no transaction, it will save you a lot. And any alert that doesn't show your total balance, my brother na scam.

Truth be told the above personal isn't a scammer but a legitimate buyer.
Meanwhile Gadgethunter is afraid of the cashless payment system , and not ready to move along with the modern ways of mobile transactions.

The actual problem is that the government sold the idea that living in penury is just ok.

This tricked down into the west, many graduates feel and believe it is just okay to study engineering, graduate, go for NYSC, come back home and be a make up artist, a cake baker, event planner or so called mini importation of goods they have not seen before in there life. Some people are ok with selling suya!

The children of the elite were never sold this particular idea, they dont even school in Nigeria, they graduate and come back to take up top positions in different firms operating in the country.

The People from the Delta area get contracts within their kin and execute it, share the profit and flaunt it!
Then u see those who bought that non sense idea come up to start attacking them left back and front.

Instead of attacking these people, rise up againts your oppressors, fight against NPOWER - this is the fastest route to degenerate our educated lots. U keep a graduate on 1k per day while his counterparts is already a contractor to NDDC! It will only take a little time before he realizes he has been scammed for life. All then he can do is to open a blog and start shouting corruption corruption against his successful mates.
