I grew up in a small town with a small Anglican church. The type of church where they collect offering 5 times and the members have learnt to give 10 naira each time. When I got a job in Enugu, I began to worship in a new Anglican church in New Haven. The church is beautiful Behind with plenty of rich members. I wanted to give my first fruit which was not really much but then I remembered that it will take that my village church almost the whole year to raise that money so I decided to send the money to them. I don't want to say what happened when they got the money but the point is that the village church obviously needed the money more than my new rich church. You see my people, let us not forget that the church is me and you and not the building. Imagine that you're going to church on Sunday and you have packaged 500 naira as offering. On your way, someone who genuily needs help meets you and say brither/sister, I was robbed and I need 500 naira to take me home please help me. Then you say no, all I have with me is my offering and I can't give it to you because I need to give it in the church.....in summary all I'm trying to say is that churches these days preach the concept of tithing and offering in their favour. At the end of the day, we forget about the ultimate sacrifice which is LOVE. |
How much do you buy Payoneer? |
oops... The highly trained Extraterrestrial that are powering our AI system, seem to be confused. We can't seem to find the page you are looking for. Thats the message I am getting. What do I do please? I have contacted support but no response yet. |
There is a sying that "what happenes to john, dont laf at him, instead learn from his mistake". Ohakim didnt do well in his first tenure and that paved way for Rochas. Now, Rochas did very well in his first tenure enough to win the hearts of the people and now his second tenure is a total disaster. We al should learn from this. Obiano did very well in Anambra, Paid salaries as at when due and that got him his second tenure. Imagine if he decides to recover and steal money, owe salaries and rename Upper Iweka in Onitsha to Muhammed Buhari Road.... I dont know which state you are from but I am sure we all hve our challenges. In 2019, if Atiku becomes the PDP presidential candidate and Buhari decides to run for second tenure, invariably, we are left to choose between the Devil and Satan (same thing different nomencleture). Now, thats how our political system has conditioned and limited our choices. Whether you vote or not, irrespective of whether the candidate in another party other than these two is the messiah, its still going to be any of them. What can you do? Enjoy the outcome. surgical: |
Lol....listen to yourself mate.....did u just say million? An igbo man asking for indigenship for their children!!! Well, I am a research scholar and I believe in empirical information. Facts!!! Primary sources of information. When you have that then you can holla at me. As regards forming association, its everywhere. We live in Edo state and we have Igbo union there. That way, the union helps her members when there is need for that. The Enugu state government offered free transportation to her indigens in teh North, thay had to go through the chairman of their respective unions. This is a universal thing even abroad. Conclusively, your analogy does not even relate to the subject matter under discourse. resurgentxtian4: |
You understand my brother. If you go to FUTO ad build a hostel and name it after BUHARi no problem. maybe he even funded it. But not changing a monumental road. Imagine Obiano changing Upper Iweka to Mohammed Buhari Road? Haba!!!!!!!!! resurgentxtian4: |
Obiano did well in his state. Have you worked as an electoral offier during elections before? Are you even a Nigerian? As long as there is election there will be rigging. As long as there are registered voters, even if the number of people that will vote during a particular electon will not be up to 20%, the riggers will make it up to mark like a standard solution. Just like there will always be armed robbers, touts, scammers, unemployed youths, there will always be people who will avail them selves as tools. babyfaceafrica: |
SMH. We are all entitled to our opinions though however vague it might turn out to be. Streets are usually named after the first person to build a house there or the richest or other reasons. For example, there is University market road in Nsukka, then you decide to change it to even Odumegwu Ojukwu Road, the university community will protest (let alone changing it to Muhammed Buhari Road). Imagine changing Oja Oba (most yoruba markets close to the palace are called Oja Oba) to Obafemi Awolowo Market (let alone changing it to Muhammed Buhari Market). You can say all you want because its not happening in your state but thats the problem whe have in Nigeria and Africa at large and until the youths change their perceptions, it will continue. Read my previous response to another NLder as regards why you can see igbo, hausa and other ethnic group names in Lagos and Abuja. Have you seen such in Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Sokoto, taraba, Lokoja? If that is your problem maybe if you guys make any of the Eastern states the capital of Nigeria, then that wouldnt be a problem. Rashduct4luv: |
I tire o. When u no dey answer Dangote or Ote$...imagine say dem change your name from Dangote to Suleiman babyfaceafrica: |
Thank God you mentioned this. Lagos and Abuja were and is Nigeria's capital city. In these two cities, you have structures and streets names after people from various ethnic groups. MMA lagos (doesnt sound like a yoruba name to me), Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja...yes thats Igbo. Now Apart from Lagos and Abuja, kindly mention any other state where you have such. Imagine Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Ibadan or Osun or imagine Obafemi Awolowo airport Enugu or Awka (sounds crazy right?) now thats what I want you to picture in your head. Also, imagine even the federal government changing MMA to Obafemi Awolowo Airport Lagos (na dat time u go know say Hausa people no dey follow u laf). In federal institutions, like in UNN, most streets and hostels are named after all sort of people irrespective of their tribe...(its a federal school which is normal). Lagos is cosmopolitan while Abuja is the federal capital territory. Rochas has been very unusual and could wake up one morning and change Imo state to another name, allow the people to voice their anger even if it might not make any difference. Thank you. lilytender: |
How has your own name helped u babyfaceafrica: |
Obviously the 2 governors were enemies. PDP, APC. Now picture a scenario where Rochas uses his power of incubency and strong APC ties to chose the next governoe. Then th emadness will continue right? Alezy: |
Yes you do have a point but then, do we always have to fold our arms and allow anything and everything that is thrown at us to hit us? That state owes salaries. That state has cut over 30% off from workers, yet the governor goes about doing stupid things. You know how the olitical system is in Nigeria, what makes you think that as the incubent governor with very strong APC ties he will not imose another governor to continue in his legacy? babyfaceafrica: |
Well, leave those quotes out of this. We are in the real world here. The decisions he makes today will not destroy him obviously. Instead, it will destroy the masses. I guess you are not from Imo state BudeYahooCom: |
I think you are getting it all wrong here. Somethings are better left the way they are. If that road was changed to Nnamdi Azikiwe road, the church will stil protest. You think the response is tribalistic because its Buhari, well its not. How did UNILAG students react when they changed to Moshood Abiola University? Abiola is a Yoruba man. As long as the name of the cathedral remains Maria Asumpta, then the road should remain the same. In UNN, streets are named after whites, blacks, yorubas and hausas. Changing any for any reason will definitely stir up protest. We all know that Rochas has been very unpredictible lately so it is even obvious that this was to suit his selfish interest. I pity for Imo people, very soon, it will no longer be Imo state, maybe Obafemi Awolowo State and the capital would be changed from Owerri to Werrey ImperialYoruba: |

Personally, I don't think starting your masters degree program is enough reason why you should sell your account. I am currently a PhD student and I have a level one account on Fiverr, I am on freelancer, I am also on my.writerweb.com among others and I manage all of them. If you have too many orders, you can just indicate that you are on vacation or you can even outsource it on other platforms or even among your friens and pay then in naira. Well, for me thats my source of income so unless you are on scholarship or have your parents paying the bills then you can go ahead. Just my opinion though. budosky: |
It does affect both the laptop and the phone. This was the trend those days when blackberry was the order of the day but if you did observe, most blackberry ba3s were just 1200mah and most laptops come with 4000mah. Now, most smartphones now range from 3000 to 6000+mah so imagine using your 4000mah laptop ba3 to charge it!!!!! This coupled with the fact that there is a recommended standard power source for charging has its cumulative toll on both the laptop and the phone. |
