Please house can someone advice if it possible to get interview date in June or at most first week of July for a conference in mid-July. I tried to make an appointment but I saw that the earliest date is in August. |
Thanks for your thoughts and advice. I think I have a good enough reason(s). I appreciate anyway. |
Good day everyone and all gurus in house. I have 2 questions to ask. I returned back from US in February this year after staying 3 weeks. I intend to travel back in May (next month). Please can you advise if it is too soon to travel into US again, though I was stamped in 6 months but only stayed for 3 weeks. And again Chicago was my first point of entry though I stayed in Atlanta, I'm thinking to go through Atlanta this time around, I want to know if there won't be any queries? |
My greetings to the house and all the good advisors and particularly to seyewest. I will like to share my experience at the Poe in Chicago O'Hare International airport. I actually got my B1/B2 visa in June last year but couldn't travel until January 21st 2018. I travelled with Turkish Airline from Abuja. The flight was smooth though we stayed about 6 hours in turkey before we could connect to Chicago. The flight from Turkey was 11 hours 44 mins. The flight was packed full with Arab people, I was initially scared if that plane will get to Chicago safely before of the fierce looking guys on board. We did arrived Chicago safely. It tooke another 40 mins to get to the CBP officer for my clearance because of the crowed. The questions goes rhus: CBP: your passport please Me: presented the passport CBP: what are you doing in the United States Me: visiting CBP: where are you visiting.in the United States Me: Chicago CBP: where are you staying during your trip Me: will be staying with my cousin CBP: how long are you staying Me: 3 weeks CBP: can I have your custom form Me: pass it over CBP: please place your 4 fingers on the machine Me: did same CBP: face the camera please and remove your glasses Me: I did as instructed... CBP: welcome to the United States Me: thank you...... He then stamped my passport for six months. I'm enjoying my stay here but the cold is much. |
Yes I know I will tell them the reason for extra 2 weeks but I'm just concerned if that will not raise red flag. I don't intend to overstay because I have to come back to my job. |
Good day people. I intend traveling to the US in November. Although I stated in my DS160 form that I will be staying for 2 weeks, but now I decided to stay for 4 weeks. Will I have any issues at the POE as a first time traveler to the US? Your candid reply will be appreciated. |
I filled in my form that I will be staying with my cousin so why shouldn't I mention his name at the POE? |
Good morning. I was recently granted a B1/B2 visa and I'm planning my travel for September. Now my worries is that I filled in my application form that my expected stay in the US is 3 weeks but now I booked a ticket for one month. And also I have not booked a connecting flight from my POE to the city i intend to stay. Thirdly I filled in my application that I will be staying with my cousin for the period of stay in the US, do I still need to do a hotel booking? Thank you. |
I want to thank the house for the section I went through before applying for my US visa which was granted. It was a 4 mins interview which goes like this: VO: Your passport please ME: (I pass it) VO: typed for few second and asked (you said you are going to Iowa) ME: I replied (yes) VO: started typing again and asked (what do you do?) ME: I replied VO: How many people sorted with you? ME: 8 people VO: typed for few seconds and asked (how many kids do you say you have?) ME: 5 VO: your visa have been approved, enjoy your stay in the US ME: Thank you |
