SportsMourinho: Bringing In Non-National Coaches Is Wrong by whatnext(op): 5:54pm On Oct 21, 2007
Mourinho says that bringing in coaches from overseas to lead international sides is wrong.

He added: "I'm completely against having foreigners with national teams, not because I doubt the professionalism with which they do it, but I think that a national team should bring together the best players and the best coach from each country.

"Being the coach of a national team is not the same as being coach of a club. It's a job for someone who doesn't like working much."

Do you agree with him?

SportsRe: Coach Yemi Tella Is Dead!!! by whatnext(op): 5:19pm On Oct 20, 2007
That's not the point!  Whether you have cancer or not, you'll also die someday.  It's not as if Lung Cancer cannot be treated, why abandon our national asset?

It's a pity. At this rate, we may lose Olusoji Fasuba to another country.
SportsRe: Coach Yemi Tella Is Dead!!! by whatnext(op): 4:54pm On Oct 20, 2007
His illness didn't just start after the world cup. The NFA has been in the know all these while. Maybe he would have died anyway, but why didn't we give him the best treatment he deserved?

There's another falcons' player who has been injured while playing for her country since 2005, seeking NFA's assistance to be flown to Germany as recommended by doctors, all to no avail. I guess there are also waiting to get her a wheel chair after the leg has been amputated.

Quote from davidylan:
TOH is actually very nice, perhaps those moaning are only expressing the pain of spurned overtures.
On the contrary, this fellow replying you has never crossed her path. The conspicuous fact is based on observations from different threads - one of such is that, which RichyBlack referred to earlier. About her being nice; well, even the most cantankerous person on this forum could be the nicest person on earth to another. It's relative. wink

Jobs/VacanciesTo The Admin: Miscategorised Thread Needs Urgent Attention by whatnext(op): 11:17am On Oct 15, 2007
This is to the Admin of this site.

While I understand the fact that many scammers seem to exist on this forum, I will like you to know as well that there are some of us with clean intentions. I created a thread yesterday in this Job section, and after searching thoroughly for it, I found out that it has been placed under "Scam-prone business".

On this note, I will not like the people here to think I am introducing them to a scam. Infact, the program is actually like a job, hence, my reason for placing it here. Therefore, I plead with the admin to please kindly return my thread to this section so that I can reach out to the job seekers, as it is strictly for them.

This is the thread: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-85861.0.html

Thanks.

SportsRe: Football Friendly: Nigeria Vs Mexico by whatnext: 8:38pm On Oct 14, 2007
Mexico is apparently playing better. The ball posession is like 65% - 35% in favour of Mexico.

Obafemi almost scored some minutes ago though - the mexican keeper did well to ward off the danger.

SportsRe: Who Is More Popular, David Beckham? Or Tiger Woods? by whatnext: 4:02pm On Oct 14, 2007
Erm. . . this is kind of close.

Comparing Becks and Woods in terms of popularity, Becks takes an edge.  He's more of a celebrity than a sportsman.

But in terms of dominance, Woods takes it.
