So I was called last week Saturday for the finance and pension role and I got asked about the expected annual pay... My answer seemed to surprise the person who called me.

So, I want to ask, what is the annual pay like for this job role?

The pay depends on alot of Factors, but basically on where your training is to take place(Nigeria/abroad)

The amount up there may be applicable to other dangote group or other entry level positions but certainly not this.

Just to add, when assumptions are made it is best to make it known. That way people won't be misguided

I had my interview at their office at Ikeja. It was one on one with their head of department. The nature of the second interview was discipline related, I was interviewed by an Indian man.

I was interviewed in March, and another interview in August. Then i was sent a mail after some weeks to forward outstanding documents. I haven't heard from them since then. A friend of mine has been asked to resume but he declined the offer. I applied for an experienced position since last year.

Pls i have a problem. I actually started this ican registration online. I paid the 7k online via the site payment portal. After i input the OTP code, the page didnt not refresh to display a new one probably to tell me that my registration was succesful and the next steps to take. But i was debited immediately.pls what can i do now?

Whenever you make payment online send a mail with reference number to professionalexams@ican.org.ng and it will be treated within 24hours

You are very unprofessional!!. How about sending a feedback email to the candidates interviewed/invited instead of saying this on nairaland. Anyways, I now see the reason why they scored below average points. The problem is not them but you. Your company certainly deserves the hr they have. Good luck on your above average points hunt!

i think its no longer like that since november 2015 diet. it is the other way round now. it is already uploaded online or u are informed via phone before lecture centre post it on their notice board.

Yes result were pasted at wyse and I was able to check mine then before it was released officially online. I cant remember the year but I think it was before they changed syllabus.

I passed FR the first time I wrote it PM is my worst meanwhile if results would be out tomorrow then the results would be pasted on ICAN or wyse notice board today.

Lets give respect to whom it is due, I am not againsting ICAN delaying results for that reason, but students need to be carried along, at least we are stakeholders to some extent.

ICAN lost a guru, so what? That is not a good enough excuse to delay results.
Students have been dying and exams still went on. Results would be released this week hopefully.

Follow these steps and re-post it for a second review. I compiled these from my CV and I always get shortlisted for interviews. I was even shortlisted for the world bank recruitment with this same CV steps. In a situation when I don’t get shortlisted, I feel I am over –qualified or the recruiter cannot not pay me.
1. On the header, your name, address, phone numbers, email address, and date of birth.
2. Change Mission to ‘career objective’ or career summary. ( too many big English there, try to make it simple and strength to the point…like what the recruiter can easily read)
3. Change personal attributes to ‘skills and competences’. Include technical skills as part of skills and competences. Try to use the word “excellent” always. For example
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc
• Ability to learn etc
• High analytical etc
• Effective team player etc
• Great capacity etc
4. Next, Education qualifications and Schools attended. Start with the most recent. For example, University, secondary school, and primary school
University of Abuja, Gwagwalada, Abuja. (2010 – 2014)
B.Sc Geography and Environmental Studies.
Second Class Upper Divison (CGPA – 3.56/4.00)
Why was your primary school not included? I went to a very famous primary and secondary school that won several awards in the past and that has always helped me during interviews.
5. Professional qualifications if any
6. Computer skills. For example
National Institute for Information Technology (NIIT) (3 months)
Base Certificate in Microsoft Office XP
(MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point)
Having a certificate from NIIT got me my present job.
7. Employment history. For example
Orire College – Ilorin, Kwara State.
Position: Head, Teacher - Geography (NYSC Programme)
Job Descriptions:
Go to google and check for the job the descriptions of a geography teacher.
List the job descriptions in bullet points.
Achievements:
• Lectured 47 students etc
• Assembled a personality etc
• Observed students performance etc
8. Voluntary Obligations – Start with the most recent
Provost, Etc (Remove the Elected). (2012 – 2013)
List your job descriptions. Like I said earlier go to google, check the job
Descriptions of a provost in a school
List out your achievement

Secretary General, Etc (Remove the Elected). (2011 - 2012)
List your job descriptions. Like I said earlier go to google, check the job

List out your achievement
I didn’t see any award that you won in your CV, I only noticed you did volunteer jobs while you were in school. Awards are for example, Best graduating student in geography department and so on.
9. Referees – remove available on request and list them out, 3 referees Max.
