One reason why the stock daylight wins is cus it shoots at a higher megapixel than the gcam... The gcam shoots at only 12mp. so the daytime photos in stock offers more clarity... Imo

The Gcam I have on my R7 offers me better pictures than stock.
My only ish with it is its lack of stability.

I can agree on gcam being great in low light, but I don't see my stock outperforming my gcam in day light.

I mean, I didn't spend a 100+mb to download a night camera.

Gcam works excellently with RN7 (even better than R7), people using the proper gcam mod are testifying.

If your device is serving you we'll with no bug, please just let your update be relaxing there until you've got assurances from people that have been using it for a long while. You can check the changelog for details about the update.

This is exactly why I haven't updated all these while and why I'm asking here for people who may have updated.

The update has been showing since last week I started using the device but I've been ignoring it.

Delete all other chats you don't want, then do a Google backup as advised earlier, sign in on the new device and do Google drive restore when prompted.

Option 2(offline backup): Copy your WhatsApp folder to a removable drive or PC (notice the path you're copying from cuz it must reside in the same path on the new device), then copy it to the new device. Register your number on the new device's WhatsApp and accept the restore request. Delete other chats you don't want afterwards.

Option 3 (.txt file): This option will only give you your backup in .txt format (text document) which you can share using 3rd party apps or sent to your mail and opened using any text reading device. Open the chat > Options > Export chat >

Note that once you missed/skipped the Google WhatsApp restore page on 1st attempt, you are likely not to be able to restore your WhatsApp in that instant except....

Except you uninstall and begin the installation process again.

Cos it's not hard, I use MTN and 9mobile, both are showing steady 4G.
I didn't do anything extra to the phone, just slot sim and use.

Why are you guys bothered about a game being online, it's not like it consumes data or like you're streaming the game.

I played the PES 2019 for five hours today (9am-2pm), and here's my data usage.

Genius43, that Gcam you're dropping for Redmi 7 users.
I've used it for a while now, it does its job, it's very sharp and clear, better than default cam (as usual).

But it has a bug that prevents it from taking pictures at times, the shutter clicks but nothing is captured no matter how many times you try, in such times the only immediate solution is to uninstall and reinstall, clearing data hardly works.
At other times it's very slow, especially when on HDR+, and to be honest it only captures great images when you turn HDR+ on so it's like it's almost unavoidable.

I just want to beg you to still be on the look out please, if you find another version of Gcam for the redmi 7, I'd appreciate.

I played pes 2019 from 9am today (after their maintenance), till 2pm and battery went from 70% to 10%.

I used 4G all through.

You need to enable individual lockscreen notifications for all apps or for selected apps according to your choice.

I don't know much about gcam, it's my first Xiaomi device too.

But the stock camera is okay, just take the beauty mode to normal and you're good to go.

The camera is okay for the price, unless he's comparing it to phones above its class, but Redmi 7 has one of the best (if not the best) cameras you can get for below 50k.

I don't know about Nokia 5 o, I've not used it but I own the Redmi 7 and the battery no dey gree die.
With steady 4G you can get 9-10hrs of SOT (No Jokes)

Yes sir. Texts that are supposed to be in bold like monikers, Facebook profile names, bold NL text et al, they're all appearing as normal text.
It makes it difficult to know when someone makes emphasis on a part of a text especially here on NL by putting it in bold text, everything will look normal at my end.
If someone mentions a person Facebook in a comment or post, it'd show as normal text not like a bold hyperlink, unless you click on the name and then you realise it's a link and hence a mention.
