Very bright, I can type comfortably while walking on the road, without straining my eyes or bringing the phone up to my eyes.

I have been taking a lot of pictures with both cameras and the stock camera picture are awesone, not that the Gcam is not good but I prefer the stock camera pictures. If I post them on here you will see the clear difference, I don't know why people prefer Gcam, maybe I did not get the settings sha.

Post them here let's see the difference just as tziz did.

From the pictures tziz posted, the difference is as clear as night and day.

By the way, how is the display of the Redmi 7 outdoors in sunlight. Can one easily see the screen? Thats one of the disadvantages they spoke about that its hard to see the screen outdoors in the sun.

N.B. i am actually thinking i may get the fone and hence my checking up reviews everywhere.

The screen is clearly visible and readable under direct sunlight.

I leave my screen brightness on auto and allow the light sensor do its work.

Like I heard, the ads ain't much for the Nigerian region, I guess it's cos they're still settling in.

But the system browser app, ad must dey there until you disable am individually.

You should encounter ads in places like browser and themes.

And you can disable them individually in case you encounter them simply by turning off recommendations from the individual app settings.

Oya lets have an unbiased review of this Redmi 7, battery life, performance and also post a picture taken with the stock camera. Would also want to know if the ads popping up on the MIUI are much and if its something that can be disabled because according to an online review, the ads pop up annoyingly all the time.

I don't have ads popping in my phone.

Genius43, that Gcam you're dropping for Redmi 7 users.
I've used it for a while now, it does its job, it's very sharp and clear, better than default cam (as usual).

But it has a bug that prevents it from taking pictures at times, the shutter clicks but nothing is captured no matter how many times you try, in such times the only immediate solution is to uninstall and reinstall, clearing data hardly works.
At other times it's very slow, especially when on HDR+, and to be honest it only captures great images when you turn HDR+ on so it's like it's almost unavoidable.

I just want to beg you to still be on the look out please, if you find another version of Gcam for the redmi 7, I'd appreciate.

Genius43, here's an update.

I updated the phone two nights ago and it seems the Gcam is a bit more stable now.

It hasn't given me much issues again, let me be observing it.
