The problem with some Nigerians mostly online e- trolls, is that they got no sense.

Imagine someone stole billions of naira, send his children to school in foreign land and you who school in public school with incite strike all through your academic year will defend such a person.

Shm.
Don't you think you described yourself & fellow APC dimwits above?...because the buhari you defend albeit sheepishly here has his kids abroad...

Jonathan that we(I) support has his kids schooling in Nigeria...

Prove to me that the Halliburton investigation started in Nigeria, or by any Nigerian leader.

It is only then that your argument is tenable. My point stands that PMB is simply re-opening the investigation after it was started by a French investigator.
gringringrin Mizmycoli kindly help me tell your friend that we are NOT debating who started the case and that investigation has been concluded...

We are ONLY saying that since buhari said he wants to fight corruption and that the treasury is empty...that we have well over $140million dollars in an American bank...he should simply undertake the ONLY condition attached to its release which is in sync with his campaign pledge wink

Lol, let me help you out.

1. The Halliburton issue originated in 1994 when M.W. Kellogg and three other companies formed a partnership known as TSKJ, incorporated in Medeira, Portugal. The partnership submitted a bid to Nigeria LNG to build a natural gas plant in Nigeria.

2.In October 2003, the Halliburton investigation was initiated by a French magistrate who was probing suspicious payments made by TSKJ after a former executive with one of TSKJ’s partners, Technip of France, said Mr. Tesler is “directly linked to corruption in Nigeria.”

3. In 2004, Nigeria’s parliament under OBJ voted unanimously to summon Halliburton CEO, David Lesar, to answer questions over its bribery investigation. It issues a report recommending that Halliburton and TSKJ be disqualified from bidding on future government projects. It denounces what it calls Halliburton’s “hide-and-seek games” to avoid questions from government investigators.

So essentially the investigation/probe neither started in Nigeria, nor was it instituted by any past Nigerian leader as you're insinuating. PMB is simply re-examining the probe, not initiating the probe, which was why asked the case papers to be 'dusted off'.

So whynotthetruth, I never succumbed to your weak argument, but declined from engaging you because of your tendency to retort reason with insults, or integrate same within any point you try to make.

Buhari dubiously started the propaganda of file dusting to push Obama believe he's serious about corruption fight...

$150billion he wants Obama to help him recover spans over a decade...but we have $140million already recovered...

So what is buhari probing here againhuh... Prosecution is the only thing remaining for him to do here...

"A breakdown of the $13.6 billion earmarked for Nigeria, courtesy of the Buhari US visit, shows that $5 billion is coming for investments in the power sector, another $5 billion is to fund investments in the agricultural sector, $1.5 billion is from the Bill Gates Foundation while $2.1 billion is being provided by the World Bank".

Aside the fact that this news is mere propaganda to justify the failure of his US visit...but let's look at it critically again...

1)$5billion investment in power- which company or agency is bringing this fund?...to which of the sectors in power?...where's the MOU?...who signed them?...Or is it Rochas kinda of investment done only in newspapers? cheesygrin

2)$5billion in agriculture- apply same questions above here wink

3)$1.5billion Bill Gates poliomyelitis fund has been there since...so why is it a buhari achievement?...smh... Or did anything change here?...facts will be accepted plzzz cool

4)$2.1billion loan from world bank- was ANNOUNCED there but was accessed BEFORE the visit...otherwise show me anywhere a loan facility has ever been packaged within "4days"...disbursement is another kettle of fish altogether...

Coming from someone who doesn't know the difference between "aid" and "loan"? Someone who doesn't know the benefits to the economy of a $2bn with no interest for ten years (and far low interest rate compared to market rate for another 30 years)? You're not worth further reply!

@ the topic, PMB is again spot-on on this. Had past presidents believed just as Buhari now believes that we don't need foreign aid, Nigeria would have become great long ago.

This is a huge achievement out of just one trip.

However, to the wailers, PMB's America trip didn't achieve anything since Buhari didn't return with planes starched with dollars or war planes flown behind him into the country. TANoids are the worst set of humans on earth.
Why attack JustCalMeDBoss?...did he lie?...Buhari borrowed $2.1billion from WOrld bank and Shehu Garba dubiously lied that it was part of the achievement in his visit...smh... it was simply announced there but was accessed before the visit...

Bill Gates poliomyelitis intervention fund has always been there...so what's the news or achievement of buhari there?...Common sense will tell you that it is almost impossible to work out any facility within 4days...

Has any president ever denied that Nigeria isn't a rich country?... Obj and Jonathan stance on the wealth of Nigeria isn't a hidden thing...

Is there any difference between this loan and previous loans from same body with regard to terms and condition of such facility?..so why the noise?...(let me teach you little economics now; the GREATEST harm and risk of such loan is that it is denominated in dollars while Nigeria is a naira economy hence, fluctuations of naira against dollar over time will lead to increased burden while indirectly forcing you to dollarize your economy...it is for this reason that domestic borrowing is safer though at high interest rate...)...so consider the rate or financial burden of this buhari loan in 10-30years time taking cognizance of naira fluctuations against dollar wink BTW same people who insulted Jonathan borrowing is praising buhari for borrowing cheesy hypocrisy is killing many...

Why is buhari taking loan when we have over $140million sitting in an American bank waiting to be repatriated once he prosecutes the lootershuh...why is he dodging that fund or does he wanna dash it out?

cheesy I don't do tales by moonlight bro...Add the historical fact below to 2015 election cool

The South-West zone has 14,296,163 registered voters, which represents 19.44% of the total number of voters nationwide. In terms of national electoral strength, the zone is number 2. Taking into account the electoral behaviour of the South-West since independence, the zone has proven itself, without exception, of incapable of
voting anyone other than its own. In the 1st Republic, it voted mainly Action Group in favour of Chief Obafemi Awolowo with about 69% voters’ turnout. In the 2nd Republic, it voted 78.75% of its total votes cast for UPN in favour of Chief Awolowo, with 70% voters’ turnout.

In the June 12, 1993 presidential election, the pattern was repeated more or less the same, except that the total percentage of SDP’s votes in favour of Chief MKO Abiola rose up to 84.5% in the zone.

In the 1999 presidential election, mainly because the only two candidates for the presidency were both from the South-West, the zone’s voters’ turnout was abysmally low (48.09%) with about 68% of the votes cast to APP in favour of Chief Olu Falaye. 2003 also recorded poor voters’ turnout with 71% of votes cast for Obasanjo’s PDP.

In 2011, with no Southwestern candidate fielded by any
of the major parties, the South-West voted PDP when a functional alliance with the CPC failed to field in Sen. Tinubu or his nominee. Besides, with the vicious experience of AD in 2003 when the PDP Federal Government uprooted its governments in five states of the zone, the South-West cannot now afford to risk having an opposition PDP government at the federal level again; certainly not after the hard pains and toils of forming the APC. It is therefore existential for the South-West to vote APC at the presidential election.

Mr Badmus, I really appreciate this write up. It shows that there is Hope for the youths in this country because all I have been seeing recently is a party addict writing all sorts of gibberish to defend his or her party and destroy the opposition. But here, WE have an objective head irrespective of your party. I reverence your beingness.

Let new register my full agreement with all that was said in your writeup. But my GOOD man, a cursory look at Nigeria's political history will show that WE have never been blessed with leaders who shun ethnicity and regionalism. Even the best of them all, at one time, defiled the tenets of Federalism. If I may stand in defence of Mr. President, I think WE should be more concerned about what he DOES than what he SAYS. Granted that his words and gestures might have fuelled optimism in the camp of secessionists but I assure you, Buhari is what is best for NIGERIA now (out of the possible options). His words WERE reckless for a leader and his aides should put it to his notice but that doesn't undermine his capabilities in delivering his promises. Many a politician have made far reckless statements yet they went on to modify it with their actions, Let us Hope Mr. President will do same.

Thanks and once again, GOD bless your course.
Quit making blanket statements devoid of facts...Buhari has been an ethnic and religious jingoist since God knows when...

Buhari failed woefully as a head of state both in economic management, job creation, infrastructure development, etc...That you weren't born or of age then isn't enough excuse for you not to read up historical facts...

As PTF chairman too, buhari was mere figurehead while Salihijo of APC consultants called the shots...

So from where did he gather his leadership prowess?...For what economic decision or imprint do we remember him?...He became popular in north in late 2000 thanks to his stance on sharia...

Which leaders showed ethnic bias in words and deeds in modern Nigeria?...name them or quit making ignorant statements to defend myopic opinion...

btw People have to ask the right questions irrespective of their political affiliation especially if you're in opposition...
