How do you judge the level of corruption in Jonathan's administration?

Does it include corruptions perpetrated in States and Local Government?

From corruption index, the non transparent outlook of State Governments was reported as key element in downward rating of Nigeria in perception index.

The question every Nigeria must seek is evidence to prove that corruption was prevalent not that APC continues to sing it hoping it sticks. It is all fallacy without empirical evidence and court pronouncements - Fact

Do be deceived ask questions and never believe a single statement by an APC supporters or party Stewart. Their lies are poisonous and at same time contagious.

Avoid accepting APC lies and propaganda. They know common Nigerians like to see high caliber looters pay for their crimes but are APC propaganda machines court to convict and execute judgment - the answer is hell No.
Ever imagined why same people that chant corruption on Jonathan refuse to ask why APC states like Lagos, Oyo etc refuse to domesticate FOI and not open their books to any scrutiny... but call someone who threw his open the thief...Some Nigerians are either too dull or simply devilish...

but his body language was wrong. He was asked a simple question as to what he was doing about corruption and instead of giving a direct answer, he deflected from the question and decided to lecture us on the dictionary meaning of his earlier gafe - stealing is not corruption which wa salso an attempt to deflect from the pressing question...what a competent fool, competent cos at least he was able to convince people like you.

Guy, we dont need dictionary definitions, just tell us how many public figures were prosecuted on corruption charges during Jonathans regime and please do not give me the yam and goat theory. Am not a primary school pupil.

Don't allow any person deceive you. Go to any border post and see the rot in infrastructure in the NCS.
Border control is function of Nigeria immigration and other security agencies not customs...

Customs has almost automated most of their operations though a few still remains...that's yam and goat analogy of Jonathan or building strong institutions Jonathan did in different sectors including customs...

What custom needs is to continue with those Jonathan/Dikko reforms to automate ALL their activities thereby minimizing such leakages...not getting one old man in the name of cleaning imaginary system...

What and how will Ali do it if not what Jonathan/Dikko did...That's enduring legacy and building strong institutions as against strong individuals who can only be at a place at a time...

BTW do you know how long it will take Ali to understand the system before planning on how to check whatever he wants to achievehuh....

Halliburton scandal thieves in Nigeria are big fishes to toil with; and they are in APC now...Reason why buhari may allow the fund to remain in America because America insisted he prosecute them before the fund will be repatriated

"It would be recalled that the reformation and modernization programmes of the Nigeria Customs under the recently retired AlhajiAbdullahiDikko received international acclaims and thrust the Nigeria Customs into the consciousness of WCO.

Under the former CGC, the modersationprogramme of the agency was used as a model for other countries in the West and Central Africa sub-region while the training College of the Customs at Gwagwalada, Abuja, was adopted by the WCO as training institutions for all customs officers in the sub-region.

Also, the WCO was so happy with the agency that its influential Secretary –General, Mr Kunio Mikuriya, paid a scheduled visit to Nigeria where he lauded the modernization and reformation programme in the Nigeria Customs. As a result of this international recognition and encomium, the officers of the agency received training from highly impressed Customs administrations from the developed member-countries of WCO, with the support of the global body.

You would want PMS to be costlier in the North than in the South? That itself sounds sectional.
In the long run depending on the innovative nature of leaders especially northern governors to draw such investments down to north...it will come down...

Nigeria is dying because sectional interest sits above national interests which is paramount...

Agricultural products are cheaper up north too...than down south...

Sir I understand, let's wait till he finish the appointments. As for me, I don't if Buhari appoints anybody from Edo, all I want is he work in Edo. For most part of GEJ tenure, the COS was Oghiadomen (from by tribe), how did it affect the common Edo man? Tony Aneni and Onolememen were minister of works from Edo states, you need to see the state of our federal roads.
All I want for my state is development. If Buhari don't do it, we will meet in 2019.
Some federal roads in Edo were done plzzzz...quit the lie...Infrastructure development was spread all over Nigeria... you don't expect only Edo roads to be done...

BTW my state Anambra had some federal roads done by state governor who sort for refund from federal government later...Edo is busy borrowing for nothing and inflating contracts...building a kilometer of road for 1billion... undecided

Chisos! I can't believe my eyes! The OP has only gone short of calling GEJ the promised messiah. Why, oh why, would anyone compare a govt of 3 months and that of 6 years in terms of appointments.

It's simple logic and even experience has shown that most of the appointments Buhari has made will still be changed. There will be a lot of chopping and changing in the course of his 4 years tenure. Besides, it's only 40 appointments out of which many are of the President's personal team. Have some patience.

Who is the bigot here? The president who is yet to make his full complement of appointments or the 'critics' who are against the small number of appointments made only because 'their sons/daughters' are yet to be appointed and not because they question the competence of the appointees?

When GEJ was in power it wasn't every one of the over 400 tribes in the country that made it into his cabinet. I wonder why we expect Buhari to do the impossible.

Criticize but be objective. The APC/GEJ's critics didn't start their criticism of GEJ on the first day of his administration, they waited until they had a clearer picture of his agenda and where he's headed. Let's give the president a benefit of our doubts.

If the president fails to deliver we'll hold him to account, however, let's allow him to attempt his best first. Don't jump the horse.

Ciao.
Let me help your ignorance...
1) Nigeria is divided into six major regions...Buhari, APC, & Reps choose to remove one...

2) Do you know that SE won't be represented in buhari security council meeting...?

3)Buhari and his supporters started criticism and war against Jonathan immediately the election result was announced in 2011...Maybe because they didn't spill your blood or that of your relative that's why buhari is still a saint to you...

4)Do you know that the three arms of government: executive, legislature & judiciary are all headed by northerners...

5)Experience has also shown that even when they are changed in future, they are replaced with someone from same state/region...

6)Buhari is being asked to respect our diversity and appoint from the six geopolitical zones and not your 400tribes story...

7)Buhari should cancel projects especially dams in north that cost more than 2nd Niger bridge...which he cancelled citing frivolous reasons....

coolEven if buhari fails today...your type will still hug him as god...

9)Jonathan did well because his institutional framework, policies and achievements are what is sustaining us as buhari is gallivanting and snapping pictures daily...otherwise inflation and co would have hit us very hard....

I told whoever wanted to hear that Tinubu and the rest would be sidelined and the Kano-Katsina axis will assume control. It happened with YarAdua not long ago. OBJ who installed him was sent to the trash can and UMYA went on like he was instructed to deconstruct anything OBJ left behind. The wants power but have no idea what to do with power for the benefit of the people. The reason is that all the know about leadership is to be worshiped while they hand out crumbs to their followers without any effort to develop or make them have a mind if their own.
And unfortunately, we will endure this anomaly for more years to come inasmuch some people see nothing wrong in what's happening now...

As for me and my household, we'd rather have the entire appointments made by the President offered to people from a single state, town, or even hamlet, if the end result reduces the level of corruption by only 20% and results in a significant reduction of looting with impunity.

Any sane human being should not wish the kind of looting of the treasuries to the detriment of current and generations unborn, upon this great country.
APC keep harping about looting...but all states controlled by them prior to election are in serious economic mess and completely rejected FOI which allows for transparency in governance... One begins to wonder who's really the devilish thief and looter...PDP is corrupt but APC isn't an option at all..they are worse than corrupt...Jonathan fought corruption as a matured and informed man...not the primitive style of shouting jail which doesn't see the light of day thanks to judicial rigours...

The APC is presently working with Jonathan's policies and following his recommendations religiously.

I recall when former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan anounced that Nigeria needed the cooperation of neighbouring countries to fight Boko Haram whose operations transcends borders, Buhari / APC called him names and said he was clueless. But that was Buhari's first assignment upon resumption of office.

The only thing I like about Buhari is sincerity. While his party men are busy ascribing Jonathan's achievements in power, agricultural sector etc to him, Buhari shocked them by declaring that they were the manifestations of GEJ'S efforts, as he was yet to start working.

This your thread calls for a solemn reflection of what we believe as a people and the general attitude of the people towards the leadership.

The APC sold Nigerians a dummy and every Tom,Dick and Harry across the geopolitical zones of this country believed in it or partially believed in it but again they should have been wiser to know that the moment a supposedly good man starts wining and dining with thieves and looters then there must be a connection or someone is simply using someone to achieve his dreams and aspirations. But I put it to you that if not for the colossal waste and absolute nonchalant attitude of the PDP ,Nigerians wouldn't have listened to Buhari and his bunch of criminals that he rode on their backs to mount the stool of leadership just to propagate his islamaofacist ideology and egocentric nature.
The PDP had it all but greed , selfishness and highhandedness brought them to where they are right now - It is just unfortunate that at a point when the most evil party lost power was a time when one good man was around in the person of Jonathan - But again when your family has a bad name it rubs on every child that is born into that household irrespective of his or her natural mindset and outlook towards life.
Nigerians will pay for our impatient nature which was totally necessary at the time we became impatient and that doesn't change the fact that Buhari is a mistake.
Bolded is an unadulterated truth...unfortunately APC/Buhari is singing that song daily to cover their own ineptitude and devilish mindset...

Key government offices...
President-North...Under Jonathan it was SS
Senate-North...Under Jonathan it was North

Judiciary-North(buhari cannot remove him till he retires)

Also

The coordinating Minister/ minister of finance - Igbo
Minister of Power - Igbo
Minister of Aviation - Igbo
Minister of Health - Igbo

Then you saw nothing wrong.

Now, under Jonathan, ALL offices were duly allocated to different regions...hence nobody was shortchanged...

Now under Buhari-3Arms of government; Executive-North, Legislature-North(senate &Rep), Judiciary-North
AGF-North, EFCC-North, Security agencies-North except for one, All the offices you listed up there is occupied by northerners or SW for a few...These are the core or powerful offices in government...

Ministers are not as powerful... BTW constitution insists that ALL 36states must have a minister...So ALL those you labelled Igbo are from different states...
