Only in the core North where you belong. It is live and well in the SE/SS, not forgetting Gombe or Ekiti or Ondo.
Gombe is far north...North-East precisely... Notwithstanding PDP lost governorship in Plateau and Benue but they have majority in the house...Taraba and co are under PDP too...So basically, PDP has active foothold in ALL geopolitical zones with stalwarts who revolted against Jonathan presidency still intact...the latter voted against him but still remained in PDP because they wanted power back to the North eg Dr Ardo & co...

I can see some people linking the governor to the murder.

So...remember...slander is not good.

It is the governor's aide that was arrested....not the governor.

But back to the case....just because he is a high ranking official does not mean the case must be swept under the carpet. The aide must face the full wrath of the law.

And the ladies should be careful of the guys they date. Just because he has a big man job, does not mean he is a correct man.
why don't you practise what you preach?...You slandered my region and don't want others to replicate same to you...cheesycheesy time will tell bro...

I don't wish for poverty bro...but affluence without peace of mind is equal to poverty of the mind too wink Don't underestimate how or what a disgruntled or devilish woman can do to your happiness not even when you runaway from home for her...

It behoves you then to find someone you can tolerate her shortcomings... Personally, I can't marry a lady who had similar shortcomings as myself, rather my opposite will guarantee happiness... that's if I decide to marry at all wink

I have told you the truth.....and the fact is that having kids in school does not mean literacy levels are done and dusted.

You know...the problem with education in Nigeria is not funding and numbers....it is how those two can be sustained. It is also about making education meaningful for the kids in school....not focusing on producing the next generation of clerks.

I am telling you this....so that even as you laugh at the Northern illiterates.....let's do something about the educated illiterates at home.

And of course...I also lived up North....and I know all about how bad it is there education wise. I also know that it is far more than just Boko. Poverty et al plays a role. And this govt has to solve the problem.

P.S...And you are generalising too you know.
Why dodge my questionshuh...Since you're saying the truth, kindly provide answers to them all...

1)Did you say you served in all of SE village schools?

2)What are their names and locations?

3)What time did you use to run through them all so as to have ascertained their true state?

4)Which year did you serve there?

BTW I never did generalise in my statement...provide answers and quit rhetorics plz

It isn't much better in the South.

I lived in the South East for some time(Kopa)....and I can tell you the state of rural schools in the South East is bad.....very bad.

As an example.

1)I once bought a simple novel for a young 14 year old village lad(and patient)...something like Eze goes to school. Guess what...the lad could not read the book...despite being in JSS2.

2.)Many of the schools in the villages were poorly equipped...and some were even opposite the houses of rich men.(Sigh).

3.)One columnist who served in the SE once wrote an article where she said at her school....it was the corpers alone who were the teachers. State teachers were absent , or not around.
The North may have it worse....but the South East, South South and South West have it bad too. We have a crisis in our rural schools....especially as funding and so on has fallen. We too need work done.
Bro, did you serve in the entire SE as you said herehuh

Which villages did you serve in SE?
What time did it take you to run through the schools or villages in SE?...

Because it baffles me, how people make some funny comments and generalization here...I am personally a product of village primary school, because I grew under my grandma not my parents who were in the city...I need clarification here plzzz...

I am not sure you are getting my point. Rivers state was owing before Wike came to borrow 30bn in 30 days. My question to you is this, how much has these states you mentioned borrowed in this new dispensation. It will be beneficial if you could reel out figures than the estimations you are making at the moment
1)Wike is in his term unlike those APC governors you mentioned...

2)Those APC governors already accumulated sooooooooo much debt that they can't borrow again... like Rochas & Aregbesola that has been blacklisted by CBN...

3)Rivers state was almost collapsing with no judiciary and legislature and backlog of salary arrears running close to a year...

4)Rivers state was looted dry under Amechi who built ONE pillar for 100million...including his Ebola looting spree too...

5)Wike debt was domestic borrowing which is not as harmful as foreign loan if judiciously used...

6)Given realities on ground as at today, Rivers state is still economically more viable than Imo, Ogun, Oyo, Osun etc you listed...taking cognizance of their debt obligations vis a vis economic opportunities for growth & development including revenue generation...

7)Time of borrowing doesn't change anything... Wike needed urgent fund to rescue his state from the doldrums...

You forgot to tell us that Wike of Rivers state borrowed 30 Bn Naira in the first 30 days in office!
Could you please tell us what Oyo, Imo, Ogun, Osun borrowed during the same period?
Regards
Oyo is among the most indebted states both in domestic and international loans...

Imo has been declared insolvent by CBN because of their intimidating loans notwithstanding they receive HIGHEST allocation in SE...

Ogun state is into deep debts as well...

Osun is dead already...

These are verifiable facts bro...

U know sometimes I keep thinking... ekiti and Osun basically depend on federal allowance...what is it that game that Fayose is playing, why is it that his state never go broke..while osun keeps roaming on financial mess
thanks for that observation...If only little boys like midolian and co bigots will reason as critical too...

Isn't it same Nigerian economy that these governors especially APC governors(because they complain and shift responsibility the MOST) operate that we have ANAMBRA state who has NEVER borrowed a kobo and yet doesn't owe salaries but increased same by 15% recently with intimidating modern infrastructural development going on 24/7 throughout the year since 2006 till date...

People don't wanna reason because they are afraid their belief will become a lie under critical reasoning...

If you observe on both threads I didn't make comments as regards the topics I posted but the pple I mentioned. I only mentioned some pple that were going off topic ..and I gave them the replies they deserved. On this thread, my original comment was " lipsrsealed lipsrsealed " ..go back and confirm that. That is to show that I was only trying to tease my friends in the opposition. The guy I mentioned on this thread was making a comparism which was off-topic..And I gave him the right answer

Face topic abeg.. If we are to make the comparism in truth, OBJ stole a cat and GEJ stole a Tiger..And this is not obasanjo talking, its lamorde..so the comparism is unwarranted. U guys jst can't do without comparing GEJ's regime with OBJ's. Is this ya new way of saying GEJ is not corrupt? Or let's even "assume" OBJ stole more, does that justify GEJ's attrocities? undecided
I am sorry, I had to quote you today...but sincerely you're empty and a disgrace to education and graduates undecided

Did you even read this article you postedhuh...Was it about illicit fund moved away?...

I got this from this article; Ibrahim Lamorde, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has stated that currency declaration by travellers out of Nigeria amounted to $12.058billion in three years.

Lamorde said currency declaration in 2012 was $9.9 billion. In 2013, it dropped to $1.324 billion as Nigeria stepped up surveillance at the airports.“There was a further drop in 2014 as currency outflows recorded an all- time low of $807,585,061.70″. ....I hope you understand the meaning of "ALL-TIME LOW"huh
...

BTW I saw your post on Oshiomole thread and concluded that you're a nonentity...nothing upstairs...nothing intellectual wise...
