A Russian man has filed for divorce after a fight with his wife over whether Lionel Messi is better than Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to a report in newspaper Argumento I Fakti, the football-mad couple — named only as Arsen and Lyudmila — fell out when Arsen celebrated Argentina’s victory over Nigeria, reports Mirror UK.

Arsen decided to pack up his things and leave when his wife, Lyudmila, continued to insist that Portuguese star, Ronaldo, was a superior talent to Messi.

It was the latest in a series of arguments about football and the relative merits of the world’s two best players.

But this time, Arsen decided that the marriage was over and the next morning, he filed for divorce at the courts of the city of Chelyabinsk in the Urals in Russia.

After telling the newspaper that the couple had fallen in love when they met in a bar whilst watching the 2002 World Cup, he said: “Since the beginning of the World Cup, she mocked Messi and said he couldn’t even score a penalty against Iceland.

“I could not contain myself and told her what I thought about the vain Ronaldo, the Portuguese national team and all the clubs she likes.

“Then I took my belongings and left her forever.”

Na Papa God I take beg you...kindly stop that rubbish. We don't need under 40 people - we need competent people. It is not about age - it is about skill,properly. And such qualities are NOT age specific. Was the governor of Kogi state not under 40 years, when he assumed power? What has he done till date inside his state to make life better, despite his so-called age? Isn't he the most clueless and worst-performing governor in Nigeria? Under his watch, his citizens who had not been paid for several months started committing suicide....

It's this kind of thinking that's holding Africa back. How old were the following when they conquered their world, Bill Gates, Mark zuckerberg, Jerry Yang and David Filo, Evan Spiegel, Scott Duncan, Nathan Blecharczyk?

It's preposterous, that young people would possess such backward thinking. The President of France is 40years. What has the knowledge, intelligence, accountability, integrity and ability done and bought us in this present dispensation from these individuals in power from time

This is an annoying phase every individual, group or organisation whether in the business spheres or not must come to terms with where favor granted in terms of cash, goodwill and fame is rubbished. You would gift a friend, business associate or even family member a favor that has the potential to change circumstance for them. What do you get in favor? Ingrates and backstabbers. Borrow or loan them money, to get your money becomes a legal issue. Tenants would meekly enter your house and suddenly refuse paying rent. You extend customers line of credit, next thing, they jump ship.


This is Nigeria. It is what it is. Runtown and other artists with cap in hand would beg for contract. When they get to limelight, they turn around and bite the fingers that propelled them to fame. The music scene is strewn with lots of these ingrates. I would not drop names.

Music label owners should simply enact stronger strong clad contracts for these upcoming artists. After all, it's all about business. Nothing more, nothing less

The owner of the truck has to be held responsible because he hired the driver (which I am so sure is unlicenced to drive the truck in the first place) that caused the unnecessary death of so many.

Someone who survival the unfortunate incident said the truck driver was avoiding a commercial bus carrying passengers in a place that wasn't meant for that. If the bus driver was not in the way the accident wouldn't have happened. Such drivers are everywhere picking passengers randomly posing a threat to lives and property like that which happened recently
