Thank you William!
This is a fantastic idea! - Paying the additional deposit to the school.

Do the schools issue updated CAS? I thought CAS cannot be re-issued.

Thanks.

Schools issue CAS updates ,

Thanks for this William. And @yomifola. Very helpful.

I do have another question. This is around currency fluctuation.

On the day the required amount (for school fees, accommodation/living costs) was deposited in her account, an extra 20% was added, to proactively cushion any exchange rate fluctuations. As of today, due to currency fluctuation, that amount no longer meets the required amount when converted to GBP.

My questions:
* what is the best way to handle this issue
* if more funds are added to her account today, will she have to wait another 28 days before applying for her visa?
* if more funds are added to her account today, and she goes ahead to apply for her visa, would it help to take snapshots of the oando rates, with dates, and write a letter to explain the currency fluctuation?
* does the currency exchange rate on the 1st day of the 28 days matter, would it help if supported by showing the oando rate on that day?

This is really a dilemma.

So sorry about your current situation. For all 28 days the funds needed must not be lower than each day's rate and then the rate on the date of submission is equally vital. in this case now calculate the difference and pay additional deposit to school and have them issue an updated CAS

Can you throw more light on the documents that are accepted to show ties in Nigeria, please?

1. a good job or a registered business. ( for business it must have an active status on the CAC search portal
2. landed properties
3. sometimes family ties
4. a well scripted cover letter explaining the purpose of your trip

Apologies just saw that you mention a budget of 6m, hmmm that is a tight one in today's market. Hmmm, tHE 2013 accord isn't a bad choice, Nigeria used, do the v6. Cheers and all the best.

Is there a reason you recommended the V6 version?

If you use the civic to ply the bad roads and it triumph I don't see why the Accord won't do well there also. But you can go for a CRV just to have more ground clearance with a bit of fuel economy

Thanks for your response , I just don’t like the CRV it’s too bland especially the interior and the sound system

Good afternoon Sir, please I want to ask in regards to Masters in the UK especially Essex or Canterbury church university.. I'll love to do a masters degree in Education since i studied biology education in B.ed level. Please throw more light and education me on how to go about it

Okay first things first

Aside your first degree which was in education do you have field experience in education?

What’s your end goal ? Be in the education service chain ?
Be a subject teacher ?
If you’ve answered all of that . The next point is your budget . How much are you willing to commit at a go without calculating the possibility of getting student jobs in the uk .

If your total payment budget is less than 10,000 I’ll say avoid CCCU , CCCU is a great public university but payment policy is strict and if you don’t enrol you will be out of status on your visa .

You can consider other options that offer more flexibility like Glasgow Caledonian University , Scotland
University of South wales
University of the west of England , Bristol
University of Salford
Ulster university , Belfast etc

Hi Auto gurus , this is a great thread

I need an upgrade , tho I sometimes drive on bad roads but I mostly drive on fairly good roads. I am considering the accord 2013 but at the same time I'm worried about ground clearance. Please recommend any good upgrade not more than 6m. Use a Pilot 07 and civic 07 at the moment

Canterbury christ church University is 5000 GBP deposit, the balance is two equal installments, installment 1 is payable on enrollment and second tranche is payable at the second term

Please can your age lead to refusal to diploma to Canada

many factors can lead to a refusal because of age

1. career progression
2. relevance of the previous program
3. If applicant is old and has only High school certificate and now applying for a diploma after 20 years of leaving high school , why did you suddenly decide to go back to school , what have you been doing since

Only a deposit will not do.

Conestoga is on a hot seat presently as the school with the largest enrollment and additionally, the same school is witnessing a huge number of withdrawals and asylum applications, PAL is now very competitive and for them to stay in business they have to give PAL to students who will likely continue school when they arrive in Canada, Many people abandoned their 1500CAD deposit and moved on when they landed in Canada

Please house, has anyone gotten PAL from Conestoga?

if you are asking for MAY 2024 intake , Conestoga won't issue any PALs for may , so defer your admission to September and wait for the PAL to be issued , also you need to have paid up your complete first semester fees by your due date

Please let us discuss Masters in research and visa application with dependants.

Yes, you can go with dependants if you're studying a MRes ( masters research ) PhD ( Doctorate ) program.

many schools offer MRes programs in the United Kingdom.

the first step in applying for a research program at masters level is to identify your area of research and then send your research proposal to the faculty for approval and you can now submit your application to the school wth a copy of the supervisor's consent

I am talking from experience, after three denials from us visa,i got my uk student visa under three working days, they don't run any background check as far as your finances are ok

smiles, you sure don't know so much about visas and immigration. the fact that you have your UK visa already does not mean they won't mail you after a year bringing fresh pieces of evidence to you. if you can't stand it, don't do anything unlawful. Yes i know there are universities in the UK that won't even offer you admission if you have been previously denied but there are hundreds of other schools who will just require you to come out clean about your refusals.

The best thing is don't mention it at all,
If u are asked have you been denied visa in any other country,u say no

If the applicant's visa gets denied by the UKVI for any reason and he goes back to school for his tuition refund, he won't get a penny back because there would be deception in the reasons the visa was denied.

don't hide any previous refusal from any country either to school or to the embassy. Refusal is not a curse or a lien placed on people. You can do everything right and still get refused a visa , you have the privilege of trying again if you feel the visa officer's decision wasn't accurate.

Greetings everyone,
I'm curious...
If I top-up my POF a few days before my student visa appointment just to make up for the rates, will this affect my application?
Do I need to wait the extra 28-30 days circle again?

The requirement is that the funds in your account must not be Lower than the daily OANDA rate at any time within the 28 days so if your top-up is a preventive measure then you are fine but if it's corrective then you have to resume counting all over again

Please can you recommend me a reliable flight booking platform from Nigeria to Rwanda? I read online that wakanow is not safe

You can check flights on

Esky
Skyscanner
Trip.com
Booking.com

Your affordable options to Rwanda are limited depending on your proposed travel date

If you want a direct flight use Rwandaair

If you want a cheaper option use Kenya airways

Please chief, I'd like to know, what's really the implication of students working for more than 20hrs a week. I've heard of many that worked more than the 20hrs threshold and still got their 2 years postgraduate visa.

You are going against the rules of your visa and if luck runs against you, you will be punished
i have seen people whose PSW got rejected for working more than 20 hours. Please play by the rules and learn that not everything should come to social media. some things are better left unsaid
