I think we share the same problem. May the Lord that visited your ODU visits my own too. Airtel is insane.

What apn are you currently using?
Have you changed your apn to auto or Airtel default apn?
You will be surprised at the result.

My ODU sim was disconnected from 4G network, all efforts to reach Airtel customer service hasn’t worked.
Has anyone experienced this rubbish and what is the way around it.
Note: the 4g is only active on other devices except Airtel embedded devices.

Yes they are not. He did not add the PCI because they shared the same value for that particular mast.

I think y'all shouldn't band lock but cell lock only.

First remove cell and band lock, go to system status and check for all available cells and bands in your location then lock only the cells with this highest numbers. The higher the cell number the closer the cell tower to you.

My case is cell 3400, 3250 and1876 and band 7,7 and 3. All I did was lock just cell 3400 and 3250. Don't lock bands and you're good.

To add on what you have already stated, for you to get the details of all the mast closer to you, download cell mapper ,it's an android app.
make sure the sim of the network provider you are searching is already in your phone.

Those numbers you mentioned are not cells but band frequencies. In other words, you're still locking the bands.

By the way, how were you able to lock multiple frequencies? Which router are you using?

He is right, for you to cell lock you will need the PCI and the EARFCN. But to band lock, just tick the band you want.

Had issues with my IDU (ZLT W154R PLUS) after I plugged it's WAN out to a mifi, I forgot its POE enabled. something got burnt inside which affected its POE unit, the device still powers on but if you plug the RJ45, it'll start emitting smoke

UPDATE.
I was able to buy a LAN Transformer IC with the same schematics from Aliexpress. MY ODU POE is now working perfectly.

Your ODU was probably not optimally installed. However, that's not taking anything away from X25 because that box is wonderful.

I installed it myself, and got the best parameters.
The problem with the device is it doesn't give a steady 50mbps during speed test.
whenever I'm running speed test, it will hit 60mbps and it will keep reducing until it ended up at 35mbps.
This doesn't happen to my X25 pro.
meanwhile I don't experience any issues during browsing or streaming.

I use the airtel 5g smartbox and my current location is about 15-20 minutes walk to the nearest Airtel Mast and when I got the router last year, I used to get the 5g lights, infact all the lights are always on and green. But earlier this year, The 5g lights stopped displaying and sometimes just come on for few seconds or minutes and turn off. The service has detoriated drastically and now I only get four lights (without the 5g lights) on with the signal lights blue most times. I tried everything possible and infact, change the network to 4g and edit the bands to unselect most of them just like I saw on this threads.
Paying the #30k and getting $hitty 20mbps network while I see people using the #25k 50mbps ODU plan makes me feel terrible.
Does the ODU perform better than the 5g Smartbox and if anyone had a similiar experience?
I will really appreciate your feedbacks.

As someone who owns 5G X25 pro Smartbox and two different models of ODU,
Smartbox outperforms ODUs.
I’ve done both speed and reception tests, 5G Smartbox outperforms both.

I read these earlier with curiosity but couldn't comment, waiting to get home to properly check mine. I use the ZTE ODU (G5F) and its UPS came with a 12V adapter. I was curious because I use the UPS to power the IDU I am using now, which is ZTE MC801A, which I am 100% sure is powered by either a 12V adapter or its UPS, which is also 12V.

To further reconfirm, I just used a multimeter to read the power cable from the adapter and also read the voltage coming out from the UPS (DC OUT), which I use to power MC801A, both of them read about 13 - 14V; which means they are indeed 12V as rated.

The UPS is also 48W, which is a power rating and not the unforgiving voltage rating.

My hypotheses on what happened to your routers:

1. The ZLT device (I don't have it; I have not seen it up close) might be rated significantly differently from the ZTE ODU - say the purported 24V or perhaps something lower like 6V.

2. There might exist different polarities between the two devices. This is unlikely as most DC adapters have the outer terminal of their plugs to be negative and the inner parts of the plugs to be positive.

3. Maybe you guys got a different version of the ZTE ODU from the one I got.

4. The issue might stem from trying to use the ZLT IDU LAN port to power the ZTE ODU and not from the voltage difference.

From this pix, output power LAN is 48v. This is ZTE PoE.
The LAN in of the PoE gives around 3-4v( which is normal with all LAN.
The WAN of ZLT( which powers the ZLT ODU) gives out about 24v.
This is why ZLT IDU cannot power ZTE ODU.
And if you try to connect the ZLT IDU to ZTE Poe, it will fry the POE cos it gives out 24v which the Poe LAN IN cannot handle (3-4v)

The power adapter is 12v but the modifications on the boards can boost the voltage to 24v-48v.

I used ZTE powerbank to power the ZLT and it fryed/burned🔥 both the ZLT IDU and ODU. I'm waiting for Airtel to come and pick it up because they said after 3 months of no subscription they'll come and carry ur ODU 😂

I did the same thing I was lucky it fried only the LAN transformer ic of my POE.
I have placed the order for the ic. Cost me about 8k from AliExpress ..
Like is said earlier don't interchange the ZTE and ZLT ODU and IDU.

X25pro has more wifi range than the idu.

Even outside my flat inside my compound I'm still connected to the x25pro. But the ZLT IDU has very weak spots in some places inside my flat.

I'm just using the x25pro full time now and have dumped the airtel odu

Not only that, my X25 pro gives me 50MBPS steady while both of my ODUs struggle to give more than 30mpbs.
So I have to settle for the x25 pro.

I know about this settings on the X25pro but after changing it to wired network the lan port still couldn’t power on the ODU on my end.

If you are using ZTE ODU, you must use the poe that it can with. But ZLT ODU is powdered from the IDU WAN port.
Warning ⚠️ Never try interchange ZTE and ZLT ODU power source.
It will end badly, I'm talking from experience.
ZTE ODU is powdered by 48v while ZLT is 24V.

I have ZTE and ZLT but i prefer X25 pro. It’s more stable than the ODU.

Tried using ODU with X25pro as IDU but it wasn’t working. I’ll just use the X25pro as it is.

It does work at my end but there is no need for that because, my X25 pro has a better speed and stability that the Airtel ODU.

If you have a steady power supply, go for ZTE. It draws more power than ZLT.
But ZLT has a better IDU which is negligible because of the capped speed.

Can anyone suggest a better POE device with higher battery capacity than the ZTE G5F own.

4. Can I use the SIM on phone or other router with out losing the SIM unlimited 50 subscription? I heard some people said their SIM change to normal SIM after inserting it in another router/phone
