‘The guest wing and staff quarters permit the enjoyment of the home by others while not disturbing the primary residents.’

He made his fortune by starting a garbage removal company in 1962 with $5,000 borrowed form his father, and grew it into the behemoth Waste Management.

The serial entrepreneur then started Blockbuster Video in 1987 and AutoNation in 1996, which grew to become the biggest video store chain and car dealership in the U.S.

Mr Huizenga was also known for owning Florida’s three biggest sports teams – the Florida Marlins baseball team, Florida Panthers ice hockey team and the NFL Miami Dolphins.

Mayorkun, a DMW act who sat for a new interview with has disclosed that he has a thing for Nigerian songstress Simi and rapper, Eva Alordiah.

In the interview with Kokolife, Mayorkun reiterated that he is currently single as his last relationship ended a year ago. Read excerpts from the interview below;

What is your most embarrassing moment as an artiste?

When I planned a show for like nothing less than 6 months and few days to the show, My DJ lost his laptop and we had to get a new one but he wasn’t used to the laptop, this caused me to have several glitches on set while performing. I was looking more or less unprepared for that kind of big event which was really embarrassing.

Tell us something about Mayorkun many people do not know?
Errr, I’m close to my mum. I have a lot of older friends.

When are you planning to set up your own record label?
No set time in mind, only when the time is right. For now, I am just building my brand

If you could date any Nigerian female act, who would it be and why?

Errr….Simi or Eva Alordiah. No major reason, they are my type, lol.

What’s your relationship with Davido like?
We family!

Are you in a relationship at the moment?
No, I’m not currently dating. I used to but am single at the moment.

Who was she?

She’s just a normal girl naa lol. The relationship ended a year ago.

We are very cool. My dad is my guy. We don’t talk as much, but we are good.

Were you influenced by any old records and tapes? Which ones?


Listened to a lot of Juju, Fuji, gospel and hip-hop music. From the likes of Mega 99, Ebenezer Obey, Tope Alabi, Kwam 1 down to 2face, 9ice, Styl Plus, Davido, Wizkid and so on. Was in love with rap music too. Eminem and Royce 5’9. 9ice and Eminem were my favourites.

NBA Star Blake Griffin ordered to pay his ex-fiancee, Brynn Cameron $258,000 a month in Child Support

NBA star, Blake Griffin, 29, who plays for Detroit Pistons has been ordered to pay his ex-fiancee, actress Brynn Cameron, 32, a whopping $258,000 a month in child support for his two kids.

Blake and Brynn have been battling in court over a nasty paternity case and a separate civil suit where Cameron claimed the NBA star broke off their engagement shortly after he started dating Kendall Jenner when he was still part of the Los Angeles Clippers.

In the court document obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com, it was claimed in the civil suit that the 29-year-old will give Cameron over $258,000 every month in financial support for their two children, Ford, 5, and Finn, 2.

This means Griffin whose annual income totals to $35 million will pay his ex-fiancee $3 million every year.

According to the documents, both sides who have joint custody of their children were ordered in July to “mutually agree” on school expenses, but the Pistons star would be responsible for extracurricular activities.

Detectives from the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, have arrested the owner of the fuel tanker that was responsible for the explosion which claimed at least 12 lives in Lagos.


The current owner of the tanker was revealed as Hassan Yusuf Maiwaka by the Lagos State government earlier in July 2018 after an investigation into the fire explosion was launched.

Maiwaka’s arrest was announced in a series of tweets by the Lagos Rapid Response Squad on Friday, July 27, 2018.

The statement reads:


“Homicide detectives from the State Criminal Investigation And Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti Yaba, investigating the Otedola Bridge tanker fire of 26/6/2018 have arrested the tanker owner, Hassan Yusuf Maiwake in Kano State.

“The truck with registration number NSR 888 YQ, driven by a yet to be identified suspect, laden with petroleum product, lost control, spilling its content and went up in flame immediately. 56 vehicles were burnt in the inferno, which killed 9 unidentified persons.

Preliminary investigation by the government had revealed that the fuel tanker in question was registered in Kano State and had changed ownership 13 times since purchase.

55 cars lost in accident
Tuesday’s meeting was convened by the state’s Ministry of Transport to enable the Nigerian Insurers Associations access vehicles damaged in the accident in order to take necessary steps in ensuring prompt and proper payment of compensation to the victims and their families.

Lawanson said a total of 55 vehicles were involved in the accident and 39 of them were registered in Lagos; and their owners have been traced and contacted.

The Director-General of Nigerian Insurers Associations, Yetunde Ilori, assured that all genuine cases of insurance claims involved in the accident will be supported and claims will be paid by the concerned insurance companies both for the burnt vehicles and lives lost.

Chris Giwa, factional President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been thrown out of the Glass House by the Department of State Services (DSS)

Reports have it that the DSS stormed the Glass House on the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday.

The Amaju Pinnick-led Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is back to the federation’s secretariat to direct affairs in earnest, NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi said on Monday.

Sanusi who also said he had returned to his duties in the federation’s secretariat at Wuse in Abuja told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the situation was now under control.

The atmosphere at the secretariat’s Wuse Zone 7 offices was calm as staff went about their duties.

A number of Department of State Services (DSS) officials, who were reported to have taken over the premises some minutes earlier, were also seen on duty.

“I am back to my office, and the Pinnick-led board is back,’’ Sanusi told NAN.

“When the DSS officials came in, they refused to allow anyone to enter the premises. But I came in and spoke with the staff and urged them to be law-abiding.


“I told them to bear in mind that they are civil servants and should not get involved in the politics. Thereafter, I ushered all into their offices and everyone is going about their duties,’’ he added.
