hahn:I will not join issues with you sir but you seems to forget that most european companies and American companies has for over ten years running their business in China and India because it is the new trend for people to buy machinery just like Dubai become a tourist attraction center beating Miami, London and many other big cities. I will probably say that you are not in touch with how machinery work. Some people go to china and ask for the cheapest machinery that could do the same work a better one can do. Chinese companies sells to you what you ask for and if you want a machine that lasts you will get it. Concerning the issue of price, Well China and India are growing rapidly and most companies tend to lower their price to attract consumers just like Dangote Cement once lowered the price of cement to 1000 Naira. It does not mean that Dangote cement has a lesser quality. You seems not to understand economic in business. I mosly advice people to buy machinery from India rather than China as I have tasted Indian Machines. Another mistakes that people made just like you are requesting for a bigger machine with high price...Most of the high priced machine are difficult to find their parts unlike other ones that their parts are all over lagos. I know a big company that was own by a Former Politician who went and bought high price machinery and when the machine spoils, it takes about 3 months to get the right foreigners to fix it and time is money. Could you Imagine a company that produce daily used products to shut down for 3 months? You have lost 40% of your customer. This happen time and time for thins company despite the huge amount of money being pumped in it. When the owner sees that he has pumped much money than the company has has gotten. He shuts the company down and uptill this time the company is still shut down. This company has about 4 transformers, 5 3 stories building for staffs and produce about 7 products. Just to inform you how big the company is. Just like a Driver will advice you not to buy the latest 2015 Mack truck for your startup because of lack of parts and other factors..So Will I advice you to start small and grow with time. Start with a machine that can produce a range number of products a day before jumping to the one that can produce many more so that when problems occur, you will be positioned well to tackle it or even switch to the smaller mcahine till the bigger one is fixed. Thanks Sir. |
thecommunist:There are more Manufactures of the product in Lagos and most Markets or Whole salers or retailers have their constant supplier or chosen supplier. So for you to outshine and win a stake in the market share.. You will have to start with much money, speed up production, lower product price, advertise more, produce high quality product.. I mostly advice beginners with relatively small money to start small and grow. So that they your product will showcased in Lagos market, it will have tag name that it is a big company in Ondo or Kano or Imo or bayelsa. You will come to Lag as a big company and can easily have some market share. Hope it helps. |

hahn:I don't think you are right.... Average water plant cost about 50,000 Dollars. Check at Alibaba or India sellers. |
thecommunist:Not in Lagos.. There are too much competitors that side. I am located in Onitsha. Buy raw materians from many importers that import the PVC resins.. other ones like Calcium carbonate is widely produced in Nigeria in which the company also pulverize it. Some damaged pipes can be re used to if grinder with a small machine/ |
Kayendy:I think you are wrong. Don't be suprise that the OP is a Manufacturer, real estate developer and a tech start up Owner. |
