tj28: My interview was short as I did DNA a few years ago. He just asked 3 questions He saw the DNA results in my folder and said he noticed I did DNA already. I said yes and then he asked How long my mom has been in the us When was the last time she came Asked if I wanted him to upgrade me to F1 because he saw my mom's naturalization cert in my folder and I told him I opted out. He confirmed from me I wanted to retain the f2b and I said yes. He then said visa approved. My case is still showing administrative processing. Hopefully it will be issued this week.
The opt out approval is important as my sibling whose visa was approved like mine got a msg that he needs to pick his passport at DHL and return it when case is current. But we forwarded the email from Uscis Ghana this morning. We are praying they will see the mail before sending the passport back to DHL. We'll call tomorrow when they open. I don't know why they didn't write me abt that. Omo see how I missed my f1 category without knowing there were other way out, anyway congrats bro, happy for you. I feel like crying now. |

Oladeep: Congrats Bro...I told u ur Visa is sure. I arrived US on Monday night. During my flight, whenever we go through turbulence, i quickly say my last prayers asking God to forgive my sins and to make heaven in case anything happens...lol...whenever I buy anything in dollars, I quickly do the conversion in naira and found out that it's way expensive. for example, when I was waiting for my connecting flight at Washington DC, I decided to buy a bottle of sprite for $2.49 and I was like sprite for naija na n100 o, if not say this people say no liquid should enter plane, I for don carry packs of it come...lol and again, maybe it's because it's at d airport, might be way cheaper at d mall...They collect tax on anything u buy or do which is %10. Again, my sleep has been irregular since I arrived. I feel very sleepy daytime here and wakes up in the middle of the night. As I'm typing this comment, I'm awake already when everybody is asleep...lol. Then there's longer day and shorter night too. 9pm, everywhere go still bright and clear and 5am morning go don come sharply. My street is as calm as a cemetery, no noise, everybody dey mind their business, I wonder how person go take make friends sef. Everybody rides nice cars and lives comfortably though there are few beggars and homeless people too who prefer to beg for money rather than work. U buy whatever u need at d mall, no street hawkers or roadside sellers. There are no heavy securities at the bank, u just walk into the bank as if u are walking into ur bedroom, d doors are always opened. The road network nko? top notch...Everything is just goddamn in order. Thank God for save flight, you are finally with your family, am really happy for you and with time you will get use to their weather there and make friends. |

Wow, 11yrs MO Gbe, that is too long, but under f3 I see that the bulletin for July 2018 is 1 may 2006 and mine is 6/6 2007. Will it still take that long? Oladeep: Ur former category qualified u as unmarried which means u were not suppose to get married or else ur category changes to F3 which is for a married son/daughter of a US citizen and which takes longer time of about 11 years or more. |

I was formally on the f2 category, I was called for my interview 4yrs ago and on getting there I let them know I was married and have a son now, I was asked if I wanted to go with my family and I said yes, I was handed a letter that said, congratulations, you are qualified for the visa but your case has changed to f3 and I should always check the visa bulletin to know when my priority date will be current. My priority date is 06/06/2007. Please can someone help me explain what they mean cos we have been waiting for a long time and I already have another child. |
