Wish I had my kids immunization records when I went, I would have saved a lot. It was just my baby's immunization records I had. And his was the cheapest. And pls Note, for the TB test they do for the kids. I beg you, make sure you ask them to give you a personal copy of the result. They sent mine to the Consulate, I did not have a copy. Oga ended up going back to QLife for me to collect the result for the kids. I had him scan it to me. It is very crucial when u are enrolling your kids in school here. They will ask for it.

The reduction was much, will definitely take my kids cards. I have done the medical b4 like 4yrs ago, but didn't complete it. Done know if I will start afresh or not.

Hi everyone, sorry have been MIA. This is seun9090, had to deactivate my other account.
I received my interview letter 31st of august and my interview was slated for 31st of october. My sister and her 2kids who shared same pd as mine was slated and approved 2nd of october.
My interview went smoothly and my visa and that of my baby were approved.
Got to the usa last night, POE was a breeze. The weather has really been cold.

Am not a guru, but based on my own experience It possible you apply for a b1/b2 visa and you are granted. I and my family applied for it last year and we were granted, although I stated it in my form while filling online that I have an ongoing petition.

Yes you must submit scanned copies of your police clearance certificate and your finger print page to NVC. Mine was 3 pages in all. And you will take the originals with you to your interview. If it's expired before your interview you will need to update

During my processing I didn't submit any police certificate, the only I submitted was the one I did when I went for the interview, but that was in 2012, maybe the process has changed.

Not informing NVC that she's married already. Its almost impossible to keep up that lie. How do you come back and get another court marriage? They verify court documents and secondly US embassy recognises all our traditional ceremonies as legal marriages so even if one claims I only did traditional not court...all na marriage .

I know the wait is long but you've married so you are now under F3 category. Wait time is around 13yrs plus from your PD date.

As you said, since she has changed her name, she is now on F3. I was also formally on F1 but am now on F3. And I concur to your point of view.

When is your PD? Now that you are married, your case will change to f3, except you are not planning to tell them you are married, you go alone with your kids, use your maiden name and come back to do another court marriage with your husband. And file for him, which will take like 2yrs, that is better than the long wait.
The wait time for f3 category is 12years.

Medicals I used Qlife family clinic. I think I posted their charges and time to go on the thread but I can't remember the particular page. Just flip through the thread u will get the information. Visa fee is $325. It could be subject to change, green card $220. Flight I spent 1.750m for the 4 of us. Delta was almost 2.5m

Hello my people. How are you all doing? We are in the States now. Spent 1 month in Naija before leaving. Plenty shopping and preparation things. Left naija 15th Got in on the 16th. Took B.A, from London Heathrow to Chicago. The layovers was extremely short. About 2hrs each. By the time we got out of the plane Tru checks, and catching buses and train, we are boarding again. It was a blessing not to wait at all, up until when I got to Chicago. We got into Chicago at 10a.m, passed through CBP, got to the officer said hello. I was so tired travelling with 3boys. Lord have mercy!. Just passed him our immigrant packet. The blue form I was given to declare food, he helped me fill out. I was expecting him to ask me questions, but not a single question. He just took the form and passports and just asked me to follow him for processing. I did. We sat in another area. Waited for another 15mins then another officer came out with our passports and said all done you are good to go. I said thank u sir, And he says you are quite welcome. Went to pick my baggage. 7 huge boxes. My 6yr old was so helpful I was shocked. After loading the 2 carts my son was pushing 1, I was pushing the 2nd. Passed through gate 4 where they checked my dry food through scanners. Thought they were going to open the boxes, but nothing like that. I stated rushing to catch a train to my next terminal. By this time it was 11.30. I didn't know we would go through another check in when we got to terminal 3. By the time I got to my flight it was 11.58. gate had closed. I was just looking at the plane. That was where the nightmare started. Went for them to rebook me on another flight to Columbus. All flights were fully booked until 7.45pm. . How was I suppose to spend another 7hrs with my kids at the airport. Lord! my 3yr old, you don't even want to know. "I tell am say him get luck we no dey naija. Cos for that Airport, I for give am him size." I had to start walking over to gate L to wait, no be small walk ooo. Jesus! Their airports are big abeg. By the time I got there, I realized my baby's boarding pass wasn't with me. We started working back to the lady. I think going back was a blessing for me, cos the lady checked again and found out the boarding pass wasn't even confirmed. She and her colleagues started working on getting me something earlier. They put me on standby for 4.20pm. my 3yr old started his drama. Good Lord. God just sent a white mother and grandmother. "Beautiful soul" she stepped in to help me. Carried my baby while I carried my 3yr old who was screaming his head off, that I should carry him. She bought snacks and water for the kids. Came to meet me and said her flight was delayed but she had to go now. I guess this was what God wanted her to do. Gave me a hug and left. By the time I got out to even get her name, she was gone. There are definitely some Good fearing genuinely nice white ppl in this country. I met 3. One gave me his phone to call my mom that I had missed my flight. I no see free WiFi ooo. One was willing to give up her seat for me to travel with the boys on the 4.20pm flight. We all eventually got in. As we were coming out when we got to Columbus, see my people already waiting. That was the big relieve part.


Went to social security office yesterday. My kids own they said will be ready in 2weeks. Mine they said 4weekz cos the immigration officers misspelt my name. They wrote my middle name 2wice before my surname. So they have to rectify it.

Thank God for save flight and congratulations once more, sorry about all the stress you went through, I can relate with that, it's not easy traveling with kids, especially when you don't have a helping hand. Make sure you rest well cos by the time work starts you will be glad you had enough rest.
I wanted to ask how much you spent in total for all the processing and flight, I mean for medicals, visa fee, green card payment, flight etc.
Secondly how were you able to print out your whatsapp calls you presented during the interview.

Baby is fine, f3 moved back to 15 june 06, where it was before moving back in September.

Pls what is it about this filing date, I don't really understand that, cos that moved to Jan 07.
