3000 Deaths a year. Cape Town has a complex social and economic history that contributes to its crime challenges. The city is known for its wealth disparity, with affluent neighbourhoods existing alongside impoverished areas, especially in the townships. Many of the dangerous activities, such as murder, rapes, gang-related violence, drug trafficking, and violent crimes, tend to occur in these marginalised areas. Some of the main factors contributing to Cape Town's crime problem include: Gang Violence: Gang activity is prevalent in certain parts of Cape Town, particularly in areas like the Cape Flats. Rival gangs often fight for control of drug territories, which can lead to violent outbreaks. Poverty and Inequality: The significant economic disparity between rich and poor neighborhoods contributes to higher crime rates in less developed areas. The legacy of apartheid-era spatial planning has left many communities underserved and struggling with poverty, unemployment, and limited access to education. Drug Trade: Cape Town's port is a major gateway for drug smuggling, and drug-related crimes are a persistent problem, often fueling violent crime in poorer areas. Corruption and Police Challenges: Corruption within law enforcement, along with insufficient resources, can hinder efforts to effectively combat crime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS9eHQ8zY-0 |
Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna has passed out a whooping 823 cadets, thanks to nepotism and corruption! Over the years the Academy has been used by political, military and influential persons as nothing more than an employment facility for their relatives and friends, this increases the number of personnel required by the services and foreign entities significantly at the cost of the national budget. Because the military services require far less than the NDA recruits, officers end up serving in troop and staff positions far below their rank and become nothing more than unwanted employees in Service. The Nigerian military is so overwhelmed by officer numbers that many serve in junior and laughable positions created for the sole purpose of accommodating the ridiculous numbers. Nigerian military officers and generals are so low in statue these days that when foreign officers as low as Majors and Colonels visit Nigeria their counterparts are usually Generals due to disparity in rank and appointments. A small military like Nigeria's ends up yearly with more officers and generals than it needs thanks to a backward course mate promotion exercise that is not based on merit but rather a course elevation structure - not surprising to find useless Generals with meaningless roles who increase the cost of salary and pensions NDA is rife with flamboyant displays of horse rides, flower ladies, hanger ons and mediocre employees for the sole purpose of mismanagement of budget allocations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItmRPvEXY-w |
Most insecurity in Nigeria is caused by people like him! They like to lament about the same nonsense that their brainwashing religion and ethnicity are responsible for. |
As of recent estimates, the adult illiteracy rate in the United States is about 21% (functionally illiterate). This means that roughly 1 in 5 adults have literacy skills below a level that would allow them to effectively read or write basic texts for everyday tasks. Functional illiteracy refers to individuals who can recognize some words but struggle with reading comprehension, filling out forms, or understanding instructions. About 54% of U.S. adults have a literacy level below 6th grade proficiency, which further highlights challenges with more complex reading and writing tasks. Don't think because they are white and American that they more intelligent than you. https://www.thenationalliteracyinstitute.com/post/literacy-statistics-2024-2025-where-we-are-now#:~:text=54%25%20of%20adults%20have%20a,highest%20rate%20of%20child%20literacy. |

Why not give the money and private jets to his poor followers |
Vic2023:Good, hopefully Israel will prevent more of them from coming to exploit Africans |
Uprightness100:Considering what Lebanese (including the Christian ones) are doing all over Africa I don't care! |
Hamilton1:The Leaders are citizens of the country. The problem of the country is the mentality of citizens (including the leaders), if the Citizens elect (or allow) criminals (like themselves) to exploit them it is their problem and not the criminals they allowed to do so. |
He and most politicians have enough money in foreign accounts to clear the debts of the continent not just Nigeria |
Maybe they should also help destroy the Lebanese exploring Africa |
Not Nigerians fault, only a single tribe is responsible - go and check Igbo people make up 15% of Nigeria but are responsible for majority of crimes committed by Africans globally! |
poweredcom:The problem of Nigeria is citizen mentality, not leadership! A direct link between surplus African population that constitutes the poverty pool and parents having kids they cannot feed. Very common in Africa to have a lot of kids knowing they will be born into instant poverty! The kids make their way to other countries to become the burden of others. The majority of poverty in Africa is a result of parents having kids they cannot cater for. - Leadership and corruption are secondary effect after the grassroots problem - lack of family planning!, parental irresponsibility! |
Khyrvxjzy:Me too but not innocent muslims especially women and children. |
mamaafrik:The only things that can save Nigeria are civil war or invasion. Nigerians are too weak and docile for a revolution otherwise that would be a better solution. |
Khyrvxjzy:The UN describes Gaza as a Nazi style concentration camp where genocide and holocaust by Israel is ongoing so I guess you support the jews doing the same thing as the Germans did to them during 2nd world war. |
poweredcom:Nigeria was destroyed by the Citizens, no one else. They are the ones mass producing kids and overpopulation that is causing food shortages, pollution, traffic holdups, crime wave, and mass migration. If the citizens allow criminals to rule them so be it for them. |
The number one cause of poverty and hardship in Africa is the people having unnecessary number of kids they cannot feed and provide for. Even with poverty, if Nigerians have 1 or 2 kids the population will be less that 100 million and the level of poverty will be far less than now. LEADERSHIP IS A SECONDARY CAUSE OF POVERTY IN AFRICA - THE 1ST IS LACK OF FAMILY PLANNING! |
