dermmy:Did the same United Kingdom ( Great Britain ) returned the Falkland Island to Argentina. The answer is No. |
Fiscus105:WHO KNOWS ? But that should not have resulted in this brutal killing. Human should not go to the extreme to express their bitterness. |
autoez:HOW COME AN IGALA MAN IS BEARING YAKUBU MOHAMMED? THAT NAME NA ABOKI NAME? PEOPLE IN SOKOTO, ZAMFARA, KEBBI STATE DEY BEAR MOHAMMED. |
WHY ONLY YORUBA PEOPLE ARE GIVING FEDERAL APPOINTMENTS? WHAT HAPPEN TO SOUTH SOUTH PEOPLE? THE BINIS, URHOBO, ISOKOS, IJAW ETC |
Darkseidreloade:We are in the internet age and it is global. Nairaland is not for only Nigerian people. It also has a lot of global audience who follow the platform. There are many Nigerians that watch Aljazeerah News, BBC, CNN, Voice of America, Radio France, Deutshewele station etc |
Years back, it was Reggae Musician, Late Lucky Dube that was shot. Now it is a DJ. |
SpaceX:BE GRATEFUL FOR THE GOOD NEWS EVEN IF IT IS OLD TO YOU. What are African Political leaders doing with the public fund that are available at their disposal. |
Shame on South South Political leaders. They do not wish their people growth and economic development. |
NIGERIA TYPE OF FEDERALISM CREATED THE LOOPHOLES WHICH FOREIGNERS ARE EXPLOITING TO GET WHAT ORIGINALLY WAS MEANT FOR THE PEOPLE. |
Shehu Sani’s question misses the real issue. Nigerians are not blind to opportunities in their own country. The problem is not a lack of vision by Nigerians, but a flawed political and economic structure created by our form of federalism and sustained by poor leadership. Nigeria claims to operate a federal system modeled after the United States, yet refuses to practice it in full. Resources are centralized at the federal level and redistributed politically, rather than allowing regions to control and develop their own wealth. This distortion of true federalism creates an uneven playing field. Foreigners—Chinese, Indians, and Lebanese—do not succeed in Nigeria because they “see better” than Nigerians. They succeed because the system favors those with access to centralized power, capital, and government connections concentrated in Abuja. Many of them can fly directly into the capital, secure contracts, licenses, and protection, and dominate sectors before local people even have a chance. If power and resources were genuinely devolved to the regions and grassroots, the story would be different. Opportunities would be closer to the people, local industries would thrive, and Nigerians would not need to flee abroad in search of dignity and stability. No foreigner will casually walk into villages, towns, and local economies to exploit opportunities where power truly belongs to the grassroots. Centralization is what makes this possible. So the issue is not that Nigerians fail to recognize opportunities at home. The issue is a political structure that concentrates power at the centre and excludes ordinary citizens. In this context, Shehu Sani is chasing shadows, not addressing the root cause. |
Baronthecelebri:NIGERIAN VALUE THEIR OWN. THE PROBLEM IS WITH OUR KIND OF FEDERALISM AND THE POLITICAL LEADERS. THEY BORROWED AMERICAN SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT BUT THEY DO NOT ACCEPT IT IN WHOLE. THEY KEEP RESOURCES OF SOME REGIONS AT THE CENTRE AND SHARE IT TO LAZY STATES WHICH IS A REVERSE OF TRUE FEDERALISM AND RESOURCE COUNTRY. |
Mrfixitt:PDP is dead and buried. |
CodeTemplarr:Leave Political party. Most of the political leaders in Apc like Akpabio were once in PDP It is a Nigerian problem |
Ikaeniyan0:What do you mean by flanker family? |
saintkel:YORUBA PEOPLE FROM THE SOUTH WEST PART OF NIGERIA ARE THE ONES THAT IS STILL MAINTAINING THIS "UN-HOLY ALLIANCES" WITH THE POLITICAL LEADERS OF NORTHERN NIGERIA. The South West Political Leaders prefer easy money from the Niger delta region. They do not want to pursue Agriculture. When Fulani will enter Kwara state and Kogi State and start killing yoruba the media houses and the press in the South West will be raising their voices wailing that they are being killed by Fulani. Now that their brother TINUBU is in Power they are not border fighting for RESTRUCTURING OF THE FEDERAL SYSTEM IN NIGERIA WHICH IS ACTUALLY "A UNITARY SYSTEM" |
Gotocourt:It is not Legit That is why Wike told him to his face that he is a fool. |
LagosOrigin:But if regional government comes in the South West The situation might be different. But Lagos still have major environment problems like underground polluted water. Atlantic ocean surge which affect the land area. It is becoming tighter by space companies are shifting to Ogun state, Oyo state, Ondo state |
I Orlandoo:They are doing their official assignment. Many senior government officials particularly the military men bought Nigeria with stolen Niger Delta oil money during their time. |
Jhoneyman:What about Late President of USA in the 80s Ronald Reagan? He is equally as Tough as President Donald Trump. Late President Reagan ordered USA jet bomber to strike Tripoli and Benghazi under the watch of late Libya leader, Late Muammer Gaddafi. To teach Ghaddafi a naughty lesson |
ALTERNATEID:Russia and China should hold their peace. When the Islamic Terrorist were killing christians where were they? |
tundegan:Keep praising a government that promote Yoruba ethnic bigotry. |
Nigeria is a Zoo as you have been calling it. Now you went to disgrace the country in Mauritius. |
SOUTH SOUTH PEOPLE OF EDO, DELTA, BAYELSA, RIVERS, AKWA IBOM AND CROSS RIVER STATES SHOULD BE A MAJOR PLAYER IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRIES. YOUR PEOPLE SHOULD ESTABLISH REFINERIES TO PROCESS OIL AND GAS PRODUCTS AND EARN REVENUE. STOP BEING A BACKGROUND PLAYER LIKE GATE MEN, SECURITY MEN, OFFICE CLERKS AND CRUDE OIL BUNKERERS. INVEST IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRIES THE WAY DANGOTE HAS DONE EVEN IF YOU MIGHT NOT BE AS BIG AS DANGOTE. |
WorkTheTalk:*************************************** It is important to move away from the oversimplified narrative that “Russia has failed” just because the war has lasted longer than expected. Modern large-scale wars are rarely quick or predictable. The United States — which many like to compare — also fought in Afghanistan and Iraq for decades without achieving total military or political domination. Duration alone is not a measure of victory or defeat. Secondly, the claim that Russia is “borrowing troops from Africa and North Korea” is largely unverified propaganda. Both sides in a war use various international supply lines, but Russia still maintains one of the world’s largest standing armies, advanced missile systems, and a significant nuclear arsenal. It produces most of its own military hardware — something not true for many nations. More importantly, the conflict must be viewed through geopolitics, not social-media mockery. Russia is not fighting Ukraine alone — it is battling a country backed heavily by NATO intelligence, training, funding, satellites, drones, and billions of dollars worth of Western weapons. If Russia was truly as powerless as some claim, the war would have ended long ago. The idea that America is “allowing” this war to expose Putin is also misleading. The United States is deeply involved — and the prolonged conflict has revealed weaknesses on both sides: * Russia underestimated Ukrainian resistance and Western resolve. * NATO discovered that prolonged war strains its own ammunition stocks and economic stability. If anything, this war shows the global balance of power is shifting. The U.S. is strong, no doubt — but Russia remains a nuclear superpower with enormous military and industrial capabilities. The world is not as unipolar as many assume. War should not be reduced to cheerleading for one side or another. The real tragedy is the human cost — lives lost, cities destroyed, and a global economy shaken. That is where our focus should be, not in celebrating the suffering of others or simplifying a complex geopolitical struggle into internet banter. |
Let the 36 states remain the way they are. For the sake of peace |
RESTRUCTURE NIGERIA END Corruption and insecurity in Nigeria The core northern region and the middle belt states should go and face Agriculture. That is our collective mandate to the Tinubu administration. Stop this northerners over dependent on the southern region for their everyday survival. |
Nnamdi Kanu, his brother, legal team that is detained should be freed unconditionally.

Federal government should direct its tax effort to the right sectors. They are just after online users that struggle to create something for themselves. Cattle Herdsmen that move their cattle from places to places are not tax. They eat free grasses and they collect all the profit.
|
The Super Eagles failed to put in the right effort when it matter most. They were loosing important match even with football team that were not known in the game of football.
