Peter Obi came to implement Igbo Biafra Agenda.

I fear his government.

I am comfortable with a northern government than Peter Obi as President of Nigeria.

Many Pro Biafra Igbo group are requesting that Anioma area be merged to the south east states.

This is a disturbing regional realignment.

Edo and Ashewo is like bread and butter.
Prostitution is a global phenomenon.

It is not exclusive to individuals from Edo State.
Let’s be honest—this issue cuts across all ethnic groups in Nigeria.
It is not something that can be attributed to any single tribe.

Therefore, it is unfair and misleading to draw conclusions that target one particular ethnic group.

Politics › Re: 'Cocoa Boys' Flock To Nigerian Farmlands, Drawn By High Prices by wink2015(m): 8:12pm On May 06, 2025
omonnakoda:
Every thing in life has two side Let me introduce a different perspective

Yes farmers are making money but does the country benefit?

Some may argue. It brings in dollars .

Why are dollars a good thing? What do you do with the dollars? Consume imported stuff that fuels jobs in other countries?

The problem is this

Land used to grow cocoa is not being used to grow stuff that we eat in Nigeria. That is a problem

Is that opportunity cost worth it for the country if you end up importin rice? using dollars?

African Nations are being used as farmlands for rich countries to grow cocoa, cashew nuts cassava, coffee, tea even flowers whilst African people go hungry. Most of these cash crops their people cannot afford to consume.

We are not even allowed to add value to the cocoa and the real money is made in places like the USA, Belgium, France, Switzerland

We need to forget about using our land to service Europe with things our people cannot afford to consume

The other thing is that they have the power to crash prices of cocoa and other commodities when you least expect it . We have seen it many times with crude oil

We should focus on trading with our African neighbours growing things that Nigerians eat or our neighbours eat

Rice , Yam, beans, vegetables, cassava potatoes
If we must grow cocoa. We must insist on making chocolates from it and aim to get our people to consume it
If not let us aim to train our youths to make electric cars, solar panels and so on

No matter how you dice it the labourers working on cocoa farms are close to slave labour. Our people deserve better

Now Chinese people are going into the bush and loading containers with cashew and cocoa and our people are celebrating because they see the kind of money they have never seen before but it is not in our best interest. We need to look at the bigger world picture. See what Trump is doing

Let our land serve us

Something similar is happening with Dangote. He is more intent on exporting fertilizer than mobilizing it to boost food production in Nigeria.

Here is a very interesting fact

Nigeria is number 8 in the list of countries with Arable land and number one in Africa.

Why are we hungry.

The cocoa story is nice but let us switch that to what we actually eat IN NIGERIA
You made interesting points.

I think even yam that we roast, boil, fry, etc in Nigeria is exported to Europe and Asia to earn foreign exchange while we grow hungry and angry in Nigeria.

No bi Juju Dem do us so as a government and as a people.

Let's policy makers in Nigeria particularly in the Agricultural sectors start thinking home.

This is also an African problems also.

By extension the problems of countries that surrounds the gulf of guinea which includes Nigeria.

If there is democracy in Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon etc citizens from these countries will enjoy good living conditions.

However, Africa is jumping from one dictator to another.

It doesn't not matter if they are a civilian president or a military head of state.

They are all bloody dictators.

See what Museveni is doing in Uganda after over 30 years in power.

President Paul Biya of the republic of Cameron is running 50 years in power.

President Nguema Mbasingo is running 45 years or more in power.

It was only Ghadafi that achieved so much for his Libya people while he was ruling Libya for over 40 years.

Except the kingship that is given to him is just for symbolic fame and not a real king in the sense of what is practised in other regions of Nigeria.

Many age long disagreement will be settled through the barrel of the gun, families will be wiped off from the face of the earth out of jealousy and hate.

Blacks are born and filled with hate and wickedness, they can't handle firearms,it will surely be abused
The federal government should amend the federal constitution to approve state police, local government police and regional police.

Or they focus on creating only a state police as this will help to reducing cost of funding.

If this is not done then the alternative should be the federal government should consider amending the guns laws in Nigeria and approving the broader use of guns in Nigeria.

They can start with registered farming communities first.

This is where the biggest challenges is.

Farmers should be allowed to own guns.

Others groups can be looked at on a case by case basis.

The biggest group facing threats in the lands are predominantly Nigerian farmers especially in the middle belt and the southern part of Nigeria.

Please don't include us Ibibios in what does not concern us undecided There are no indigenous Ibibios in Abia state, our elders left Ibom kingdom after loosing the war. It's just the names which has been corrupted, since they're no Ibibio speaking group left. Example Obot Okon Ita now called Obinkita🤨
Infact the neighboring ethnic groups in Akwa Ibom to Abia state is Annang, they get along with Igbos well, because they share some similar cultures.🤔
1. Historical Settlement:
Before colonial borders, the Ibibio people occupied a much larger area stretching across parts of today's Akwa Ibom State, Cross River State, and some fringes of Abia State.

Particularly around the Arochukwu area, Abam, Ohafia, and nearby regions, there were pockets of Ibibio-speaking groups.

Some of these people were absorbed, conquered, or assimilated over centuries by expanding Igbo groups, especially during the Aro Confederacy period (17th-19th centuries).

2. Specific Places Where You Find Indigenous Ibibio Roots in Abia State
Arochukwu LGA
(Some of the ancestral inhabitants before the Aro conquest were Ibibio.)

Isu and parts of Ihechiowa
(In these communities, there are traditions that mention Ibibio ancestry or early settlement.)

Cross-riverine villages along the Abia-Akwa Ibom border.

However, today most of these areas are politically and culturally classified as Igbo — through assimilation, language shift, and intermarriage over centuries.

You are absolutely correct with your statement.

AGBOR PEOPLE ARE FROM BENIN.

Till today they still bear bini names just like Igbanke.

They bear Osazuwa, Osagie, Igubor, etc

Even in Igbanke the closes community that is right in Edo state.

The Igbanke people are ethnic binis.

Yes, Ika influences may have come in the form of Language spoken in the course of co-existence due to migration, trade and conflicts in the land so people move to where they can find security but that does not change their EDO ancestry.
Culture › Re: Ohanaeze Ndigbo Hail Igbanke Community For Embracing Igbo Roots by wink2015(m):
Igbo Presidency Will Be Difficult With This Kind of Negative Publicity about Igbo expansionist behaviour.

The way some Igbos are damaging the image of the Igbo nation is not helping their political aspirations.

How do you expect Nigeria to trust you with the presidency when you keep attacking the identity of other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria?

Let’s be clear:

There are Edo descendants in Onitsha who proudly trace their roots back to the ancient Benin Empire.

There are Igala communities in both Anambra and Enugu states.

There are Ibibio communities in Abia State, particularly around the Arochukwu area.

Even the Abiriba people are historically distinct from the Igbo.

Igbos in the South East have even forced this distinct group who are not really Igbos to drop their historical connection with their ancestry and make them appear as if every tribe in the south east is Igbo.

This is a very big lies.

The King in Igala do not interfere in what is happening in the South East.

The Oba of Benin and the Benin people do not interfere with what is happening in the South East.

The Kings in Ibibio do not call out the Igbos despite the fact that their people are indigenous to Abia state.

Why is Biafra Igbos so concerned about Igbanke, Ikwerres and the rest ethnic nationalities that do not want to follow the Igbos to Biafra?

Look at Lagos State:
The Igbo dominate almost all the seafaring businesses at the Apapa Ports and other parts of Lagos. The Yoruba people opened the doors for Igbo traders and professionals to thrive in Lagos.

At the political level, Lagos State has shown goodwill towards the Igbo:

Joe Igbokwe, an Igbo son, held a top position in Lagos politics.

Ben Ifeanyi Akabueze, another prominent Igbo figure, served as Commissioner for Budget and Planning under Tinubu and was later appointed to a major federal role in Abuja.

Even today, an Imo State woman has just been appointed as the first female spokesperson for the Nigerian Army — another example of national inclusion.

But sadly, the Igbo have not reciprocated such goodwill towards others.

In several parts of the South-South and South West, the Igbo show blatant disregard for indigenous cultures that recognize kings and traditional authorities. Instead, they impose their Ohaneze leadership structures.

This kind of behavior is what fuels distrust — and makes an Igbo presidency even harder to achieve.
