Mr Akinwunmi Adesina is the former minister of Agriculture and current 8th President of the African Development Bank. He was the minister of Agriculture and Rural Development for four years between 2010 to 2015. Until his appointment as Minister in 2010, he was Vice President of Policy and Partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). In 2015, he was elected as the President of the African Development Bank. He is the first Nigerian to hold the post.

The police have announced the disappearance of some criminal suspects linked to embattled Senator Dino Melaye of Kogi West senatorial district.

A statement issued on Wednesday afternoon by Kogi police commissioner, Ali Janga, read: “The Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Police Command today 28th March, 2018 received a news that six (6) suspected criminal elements namely; Kabiru Seidu a.k.a Osama, Nuhu Salisu a.k.a Small, Aliyu Isa, Adams Suleiman, Emmanuel Audu and Musa Mohammed who were under detention at the ‘A’ Division Lokoja escaped from lawful custody.

“Four of the suspects were on court remand including two that indicted Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu."

"As a result, the suspects were declared wanted and placed on Interpol watchlist alongside Mr. Melaye and Mr. Audu.

“Consequently, all the six suspects, Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu were sent for watch listing and red notice by the INTERPOL for immediate arrest anywhere we see them.

“The Command hereby appealed to the members of the public to assist the Police with useful information on the whereabouts of the suspects by reporting to the nearest Police Station.”

The commissioner added that “investigation into the unfortunate incident is ongoing, while the thirteen (13) Police Officers who were on duty when the incident occurred were defaulted and detained for interrogation.”

Recall that the suspects had last week allegedly confessed to being armed and financed by the flamboyant senator.

The viral images of 34-year-old Richard Akoto Appiah - known as Owura Kwadwo Hottish on Facebook drawing a diagram of Microsoft Word for his pupils at Betenase M/A Junior High School in the town of Sekyedomase went viral after he posted them on Facebook. This picture caught the attention of many all over Africa and the world.

The teacher, Richard Appiah said in his online post, "I wanted them to know or see how the window will appear if they were to be behind a computer," Akoto told CNN. "Always wanted them to have interest in the subject so I always do my possible best for them.”
"Teaching of ICT in Ghana's school is very funny," he says in the caption accompanying the post.

The students who were about a 100 were happy with their teacher's effort and appreciated him but, the teacher said that was not his first time of drawing computers and ICT gadgets on the board. he said it made his explanation easier and faster for students to understand.

Instead of an endless wait on the government for employment, a female Nigerian graduate has taken up a career in shoemaking in a bid to make ends meet in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Okikola Fasanya, derives pleasure in her trade and reinstated the fact that she is willing to get her hands dirty so as to produce lovely and fanciful shoes for her clients.

She explained on Tuesday that she doesn't mind getting her hands dirty in order to ensure her clients are satisfied.

Fasanya acquired the shoemaking skill during the compulsory one year National Service where she was trained to produce new shoes as well as repair worn-out ones.

In her words: “I tell my clients that I am ready to get my hands dirty to make their feet lovely.

Fasanya who studied History Education at the Adeyemi College of Education in Ondo State explained that she chose shoemaking because she wanted to promote the African culture through production to make people wear local shoes and sandals by Africans.

She said: “I felt the need to create job opportunities for people instead of being the one hunting for jobs.

“Also, the love my brothers have for locally-made shoes and slippers inspired me to start a business in this line.”



The optimistic young lady disclosed that the major raw materials - animals’ hides and skins; were available locally and in large quantities, adding that most of what goes into the production of her products are local contents relevant to and available in the country.

Fasanya advised youths searching for white-collar jobs to acquire skills in various vocations that would make them relevant to their communities so they would also become self-reliant, self-dependent and be employers of labour with time.

“You can wear my footwear in the rain and it will not spoil because I dedicate all my time and attention into making just one and many more.”

She lauded her boss that taught her shoemaking, adding that while she was undergoing training; her boss treated her like every other trainee.

This was despite being the only educated one among them, she said.



She said: “My boss was strict. He would say then that he was not going to pamper me because he discovered the shoemaking zeal to learn.

“Being lenient with me then would have led to me losing focus.

"I do repairs not always but for clients that are patient enough to wait till I have the time. Some repairs give me a tough time.

“Repairing foreign-made shoes is like building a new pair of shoes for a client and such requires a detailed work.”

Fasanya said that she was home with her male contemporaries despite that the sector is male-dominated.



She said that she had been getting referrals from her male shoemakers sometimes.

“I get motivated to do more so people can know that success is not by gender, but through hard work.

“Some of my male counterparts see me as a strong lady.

“They love my designs and applaud the fact that I go through the stress of building new shoes on my own rather than employ people."

He met President Muhammadu Buhari during the visit, where they discussed issues of mutual interest to both countries.

The ex-Secretary of State had also warned Nigeria and the rest of Africa against accessing financial help from China.

Trump announced Tillerson’s sacking via his verified Twitter handle.

As reported by the CNBC, since Tillerson took the post in February 2017, mixed messages repeatedly came out of the White House and a State Department with diminishing relevance. A three-year-old girl identified as Chibugo Faustina Chibueze has been abducted by a strange man who tricked her brother by giving him N50 to get some snacks in Gospel international school Ahoada, Rivers State.

Daily Naija gathered that the nursery 1 pupil was reportedly abducted around 8am on February 28, 2017, shortly after her mother dropped she and her elder brother a few metres from the school gate.

The victim’s brother, Chibuke, 8, said the abductor was dark in complexion and wore a black and white uniform.

The worried father of the missing child, Norbert Onwuekwe took to Facebook to raise an SOS call towards finding his daughter.

He wrote: "Please friends I'm looking for my daughter, she is 3 years ten months old. (born on 4th May 2014)

"Please if you come across someone that looks like her in any part of Nigeria, please notify me. Her name is Chibugo Faustina Chibueze.

"She knows her name and School. Her school name is Gospel international school Ahoada. She was on a low cut on that 28th February 2018, been Wednesday, the incident took place.

"It all happened on the 28th morning as she was going to school, their mother dropped her and her senior brother near the school compound as usual and left them, then at the entrance of their school compound, unknown man on black eyeglasses stopped both of them.

"He gave the senior brother money to go and buy biscuit, on returning back, he didn't see his sister and the man. Today makes it twelve days we are looking for her.

"Please should in case your neighbour buys a girl of that age in the name of adoption, please help me look at her properly, even in the motherless baby's home, if you see any resemblance like her please notify me.

"I really need your assistance, I strongly believed that Almighty God will bring her back to me alive. Please share her picture on any available social media, until it gets to those she is in their custody, and they will willingly send her back to me. I know that My God will do it.

The worried father said the abductor sent him a message on the day she was kidnapped informing him that he had vital information about his daughter's whereabouts promising to help him with the information if he pays N300,000.

He disclosed that the person behind the text message asked him to pay N50,000 the next day so he would help him track the kidnappers of his daughter.

He sent the money to the bank account he provided, but the person stopped taking his calls afterwards.

“Tillerson’s travel plans have changed so that he can return to Washington early on Tuesday morning instead of late that night, a spokesman for the top U.S. diplomat told reporters traveling with him,” the report said, citing the need for Tillerson “to deal with urgent work,” back home.

The US secretary was scheduled to arrive in Abuja on Monday from Nairobi for his first official visit to Nigeria. Tillerson we were told fell ill in Kenya a few days ago.

The Big Brother naija house has continued to show us more and more drama. The drama and supposed romance between Nina and Miracle is still in existence anyway. While we have witnessed romance between BamTeddy, Mina still goes on to satisfy their urges while in the house.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Teddy A, has told his former strategic partner, BamBam, that she should try to replicate the life and style of fellow housemate, Ifu Ennada.

Teddy A, the songwriter and singer, in a bid to tutor BamBam on how to socialize and live her life, pointed that she wasn’t being herself. Teddy A told Bambam, who is said to be a chorister in one of the leading Pentecostal Churches in the country and whose father is also an elder in the church, to start taking responsibility of her own life.

This came when they both spent time together after the Sunday’s eviction show.

Teddy A said;

“You must start living your life. Come out of your shell. We wonder what shell she needs to come out from after she is seen having sex with Teddy A. What more is he really expecting from her?



“Bambam, you are good but you seem to be subjecting yourself to some certain things, I don’t know.

“Do you known why I love Ifu Ennada? Come on, that girl is in control of herself. This moment she’s saying ‘I’m gonna suck your d**k,” the next moment she’s asking for a drink. That girl’s wide. She’s just herself. That’s how you should be.

“Not trying to live like her, but you must bring out the best in you.” Not long ago, Ifu Ennada, also had a comment about BamBam herself when she spoke during her diary session with Biggie – she described Bambam as the dirtiest housemate in terms of thoughts – Ennada is quoted as saying,

Duke made the statement in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said the speculations that he had dumped the aspiration were untrue. Duke said he had not officially declared for the number one seat in the country for strategic reasons.

“Sometime ago, I said I will run for the presidency of the country if the opportunity presented itself. “Yes, my presidential ambition is still intact, I am only waiting for the opportunity to present itself to make the right move,’’ he said.

Asked on what platform he would run, especially as he was a member of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s inspired “Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM)’’ , he said it was too early to decide.

He, however, said he was still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I am still a member of the PDP, at the same time a member of the coalition which is not a political party.

“The coalition will definitely align with a political party to achieve its goals, otherwise it will make no sense.

“I can’t say yet the platform on which I will run if the opportunity presents itself. We are still watching and will take the right step at the right time,’’ he said.

On the spate of abductions and killings in some parts of the country, Duke described the situation as disturbing. He urged the relevant authorities to confront the problem head on for the peace and stability of the nation.

During the live eviction show on sunday, Ebuka asked Teddy A how his relationship with Bambam was going and his response was; " They are growing stronger". On the same night, the duo were seen to have had sex ,as they were both under the sheets with Bambam on top of the guy grinding.
