NEWS NUGGET- AISHA BUHARI. Stop disgracing us This madness should have limit! What is trending now is "Aisha Buhari visited and was interviewed by Voice of America, Washington DC"; they have circulated photos of the purported interview. Even Linda Ikeji's blog site published several pictures. Now, please check for yourself as I have: VOA (both English and Hausa services) have no record of that visit or interview. You can visit VOA websites and confirm. I even searched their archives, no record of Aisha Buhari interview is available. All the sources carrying the news of the claimed interview are local/Nigerian online unverified outlets. Listen to me, for several years, I was a contributor to BBC World Service programmes. I had a couple of tele-radio interviews with them. Several years on, just search my name on google or any BBC website and you will get hits of my name, and portions of my contributions. Now, we are talking about the first lady of the most powerful black country in the world; it will be all over their records. But that's not the case. At what point are you going to start using your God-given brain? If they can fake an interview with/at VOA, it means they have faked a visit to the US. And you know what that means. Copied from Euphemia Udanoh thread...

A businessman, Michael Osatuyi, is battling the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over his ultra-modern filling station at Lambe, a suburb of Ogun State, which was wrongly sealed off by the anti-graft agency with the thinking that it belonged to embattled Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose. The filling station, which, according to sources will be one of the biggest in the area in terms of facilities and size when completed, was sealed off last week by the EFCC as part of its battle with Fayose. However, the agency was said to have not done its homework well as the filling station did not belong to Fayose. Yet, the anti-corruption body had listed the filling station as one of the properties seized from Fayose. “It is funny,” a source close to Osatuyi told samuelajayi.com. “They did not do their homework. This is a man that has never had anything to do with Fayose in his entire business life. He has never dealt with any government in the state since inception. How EFCC now felt the station belonged to Fayose beats me hollow.” Osatuyi is a native of Ekiti State. Osatuyi is said to be in contact with the Abuja office of EFCC so that his station could be re-opened. He is said to have prepared all the documents that show his ownership to be taken to Abuja. A friend of the businessman, Abiodun Ayeni, also told samuelajayi.com on phone that he does not feel it is a serious issue. “When I called him, he was just laughing,” Ayeni said. “He said it was funny because he felt EFCC ought to have done their homework well before going after alleged properties of the governor. I think the station should be opened any moment from now.” It could be recalled that EFCC has been having a running battle with Fayose. Last weekend, it was revealed that it had seized properties worth N1.3billion from the governor. Early last month, it froze his Zenith Bank account which the agency said funds were channelled through for his campaign by the bank. Zenith Bank has since strongly denied the allegation. How can a President who claimed to be fighting corruption ignore clear evidence of fraud by his wife(Halliburton scam) and acquisition of properties by Buratai in Dubai? He has refused to send his corrupt EFCC to probe them instead he is interested in probing Fayose and other people that speak against his administration. Our reputation in international organisations is laughable. No wonder Cameron said we are fantastically corrupt |

The questions are not difficult.Somebody has solved the 2nd one.As for the ist one,let the son's age be x,man's age=5x.Son's age 4yrs ago=x-4,dad's age 4yrs ago=5x-4. Product of their ages=(x-4)(5x-4)=448, 5x2-4x-20x+16=448 5x2-24x+16-448=0 5x2-24x-432=0,factorise.After factorisation,x=12,therefore son's age is 12,father's age=5×12=60 You can check it this way,4yrs ago product of their ages is 448,son's age 4yrs ago=12-4=8,father's age=60-4=56,product of their ages 4yrs ago= 8×56=448 |

Democratic leaders in Nigeria's Senate (the Upper House), including Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, are being unfairly targeted by senior members of the Nigerian Government with politically motivated allegations in order to undermine the power of the Nigerian Senate. The Nigerian Government Executive is due to lay unfounded charges of forgery and corruption against Nigeria's Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, his Deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, the Clerk of the Nigerian Senate, Ben Efeturi and the previous Clerk of the Nigerian National Assembly, Alhaji Salisu Maikasuwa. Senator Sabi Abdullahi, Senator from the Nigerian ruling party (APC) and official spokesman of the Senate said, "It is time for the international community to take note and condemn this undemocratic behaviour by the Nigerian Government. This is a time when the Nigerian people need leadership not petty in-fighting." Senator Sabi Abdullahi maintains the charges are entirely false and unfounded. "They are nothing more than a politically motivated crusade by the Nigerian Government Executive to remove the democratically elected leadership in the Nigerian Senate. The Nigerian Government Executive is attempting to take democratic power away from the very people the Nigerian Senate represents." "I call upon the international community to condemn the Nigerian Government Executive's continuing attempts to interfere with the democratic leadership of the Nigerian Senate. Nigeria's 'War on Corruption' is fast-becoming a veil to justify attacks on Nigeria's functioning democracy and this must not be allowed to stand." Senator Abdullahi added that there is no evidence to justify the criminal charges pursued against the leaders of the Nigerian Senate because the issues were discussed in the Nigerian upper legislative Chambers last year and dismissed. "The Nigerian Government Executive however, is not satisfied, despite the democratic process that followed in the election of the Senate leadership." Senator Abdullahi urges the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari to respect the rule of law and Nigeria's constitutional democracy. "I appeal to all lovers of democracy to condemn in strong terms, this latest assault on our democratic institution. Nigeria's democracy was hard won. It must therefore not be allowed to fail." Notes to editors: Dr Abdullahi is a Ph. D holder in Agricultural Science. He is first-term Senator representing Niger South District in the North Central zone of Nigeria. He is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, a position that makes him the official spokesman of the Senate. The Nigerian Senate is the Upper chamber of the bi-camera legislature of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It has a total of 109 members with three members representing each of the 36 states of Nigeria and 1 member from the Federal Capital, Abuja. The Senate is headed by the President of the Senate who presides at the plenary. He is elected by a simple majority of Senators at the inauguration of the Senate and can be removed by a two-third of the members. The Deputy Senate President is similarly elected and acts in presiding capacity in the absence of the Senate president. In addition to these two, the Senate has eight other principal officers - majority leader, deputy majority leader, chief whip, deputy chief whip, minority leader, deputy minority leader, minority whip and deputy minority whip. The current President of the Senate is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which has a total of 58 members, while his Deputy belongs to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, with 44 members. A third party, the Labour Party has one member, while six seats are currently vacant. The Senate requires two-third majority to take most decisions. Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki is a 53 year old President of the Senate. He was a two-term Governor in Nigeria's North-Central, Kwara State from 2003 to 2011. He was elected to the Senate for the first time in 2011 and appointed chairman of the Committee on Environment and Ecology. In the wake of rising national concern over fuel subsidy payments, he initiated the motion that exposed the massive fraud that characterised subsidy payments in the country. In 2014, he led six state Governors, some Senators and House of Representatives members out of the then ruling party, PDP to join other parties in forming the APC, which subsequently won the 2015 Presidential election. Senator Ike Ekweremadu holds a Ph. D in law. He is one of the longest serving Senators, having been in the Senate since 2003, and currently serving a fourth term as Senator. He is in his 10th year as Deputy Senate President, a position that confers on him the presidency of the Sub-regional, West Africa parliament as well as Chairmanship of the Constitution Review Committee. With the development of Antiretroviral Drug- Aluminium Magnesium Silicate (AMS), by Maduike Ezeibe, Professor of Veterinary Medicine, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU) Abia State, People living with HIV/AIDs will now have the cause to smile again. Science Editor, STANLEY CHIBUIHEM AMALAHA, in an interview with the don in the university, reports. Professor Maduike Ezeibe, a renowned Nigerian scientist and Head, Department of Veterinary Medicine, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria has found what could be a novel treatment for Human immunedeficiency virus (HIV) infections infection that may slash the current cost of treatment. Ezeibe, after 19years of intensive research has been able to show that synthetic Aluminum- Magnesium Silicate (AMS) has antiretroviral effects that could lay a perfect track for affordable and effective therapy for HIV. Results of his work titled ‘Assessment of Antiretroviral Effects of a Synthetic Aluminum- Magnesium Silicate’ published in the British Journal of Medicine & Medical Research (BJMMR 4( : 1672-1679, 2014) and featured onSCIENCEDOMAIN international (www.sciencedomain.org), shows a significant reduction in the titres of the virus when HIV positive plasma was incubated with AMS. Chemistry of the action Ezeibe said this could provide an ultimate cure for the virus that has defiled so many scientific efforts to curtail it in the past. He reacted Aluminium Silicate with Magnesium Silicate to obtain the synthetic Aluminum-Magnesium Silicate devoid of impurities as show in the chemical equation below A14 (SiO4)3+3Mg2SiO4. – –2Al2 Mg3(SiO4)3 Giving further details on AMS, the distinguished don said, “Molecules of Aluminum– Magnesium Silicate have platelets that possess both negative and positive electrical charges on their surfaces and their edges. HIV on the other hand is negatively charged. So the simple scientific understanding that opposite charges attracts ensures that the HIV virus binds to the AMS and is discharged from the body alongside.” It was concluded that the AMS has antiretroviral effects and could be an inexpensive antiretroviral therapy for regular treatment to reduce high rate of HIV infection among low income groups because the two essential minerals – Aluminum Silicate (kaolin) and Magnesium Silicate, used in the production of the therapy, have large deposits in Umuahia and other parts of Abia State. This, he said, would make the therapy cheaper and more affordable than the old anti-retroviral drug. He added that the therapy would take an average of two to three months or more to cure HIV/AIDS patient depending on the viral load in the patient. Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU) Following directives from the Vice Chancellor of MOUAU, to the Medical Director of the University to verify Ezeibe’s claim, a team from the University went into collaboration with the Basic Health Clinic Abuja for an Independent Clinical trial of AMS. It was discovered that after Eight months of administration of AMS to HIV patients, three out of the 10 HIV patients, are now HIV negative. Two more would recover this month (June) after nine months of treatment with regard to reduction in their viral load; while the remaining five patients are expected to be cured next month July.
