MIKOLOWISKA: Where had price regulation worked You haven't learnt from Murtala, fuel scarcity and foreign exchange debacle You now stupidly want to extend the foolishness to food? Do you think before typing Do you not realize correlation between price demand and supply. You cannot touch one without affecting the others Thank you. |
Agriculture › Re: Farmers: How're You Coping With The Drought? by Wizuman: 9:13pm On Aug 10, 2024 |
Arostar2023: It's actually people that want the price of agricultural produce to be controlled by government are the greedy and selfish ones. Your government doesn't support farmers, a farmer risks his life, savings and peace of mind to farm and you want to dictate to him how to dispose of his produce ... like I said earlier, go and farm first before you start criticising farmers. You should be grateful that you are even seeing commodities to buy.
And by the way, when there's abundant harvest it naturally reflects on the market... market forces. In that case, a farmer has no choice but to dispose of his produce at the "right price". The problem we are having is due to insecurity and gross mismanagement by your government. Una try |
Agriculture › Re: Farmers: How're You Coping With The Drought? by Wizuman: 6:14pm On Aug 10, 2024 |
Arostar2023: And you think it's easy to depend on nature to farm? Why not try and be a farmer for a season. Now tell me, what will be their fate if nature fails to deliver, as it were? Would you or your government pay them compensation for their losses? All the times/years that u don't make losses, does it reflect in the price(s). Everyone will look for excuses for their greed |

Lol Nigerian farmers depend mainly on nature to farm, yet they sell at expensive rates like they use some expensive technology.
No matter what any government does to fix the economy if they don't add price regulation policy , Nigerians will still rubbish their work |

ElevationD: Very old and disgraceful practice.
They only mentioned what tourists experience at the hands of the shameless immigration officers, who in their positions do not know that the airport is the door into the country. They only talked about what is experienced at the counters. We should also talk about the experience while exiting aircrafts. All those “welcome” are not heartfelt, but borne out of their greedy desire to rip everyone, including Nigerians off.
First time travelers receive horrors from immigration officers. With accusations of holding fake passports/visas to not seeing your face on their screen, just to rip you off.
A few years ago, on arrival, an immigration lady told me that my face did not show up on her screen. I asked her what she meant and she asked me to stand aside while she attended to other disembarking passengers. Having spent over 10 minutes waiting and the crooked lady did not attend to me, I went back to her. I had just returned from Dubai, India and Malaysia. She saw the visas on my phone and I had used it to passport severally. When I started screaming, she called her boss, who then asked her what the problem was. When she gave her stupid story, her boss asked her to screen the passport again, right in my presence. Instantly my face came up and her boss apologized. I asked her to immediately apologize to me otherwise I would embarrass her instantly. She immediately apologized for her attempt to fleece me.
Airports and border points are crooked areas for men and women in uniform to financially fleece everyone, irrespective of country or status. I hope the current internal affairs minister can clean up the mess. They would have covered it up if it didn't get to social media |

manuelkel: Oga keep quite, never you in your life compare a certificate that bounds a region of a continent with a certificate that bounds for just one nation. Like are you dumb? Have you tried applying for work outside Nigeria before? Guy no dey talk rubbish, I don't know why this is on FP. Though I support you, no institution in Nigeria rejects NECO certificates. Neco is accepted all over Canada. You can fact check |
