Yes, it is. it is more like the regular cooperative society but a modern and modified one. I think you should check them out. I have been a regular beneficiary, used to think its not true too until a friend introduced me and I just tried it out last year.

I have following the thread but assiduously as I would have liked. Just have some request:
1. I will need some to link me with who can get me my transcript quickly from OAU although I have an original with me, it isn't sealed as mandated by both IQAS or WES for my ECA.
2. Also, I need a sample of the reference letter to be written. The places I worked asked that I send them a template to see and write out. They are a single partnership and I was the one doing most of their administrative functions.
