Well, men now support this barbaric act. Sex remains a thing of the mind, and a normal mind won't conceive the thought of having sex with a little girl because of some exposed 'unripe' body parts. With the right mindset and discipline, a stark naked girl child will never arouse a man. Any guy that this doesn't apply to really need to check himself. It all depends on moral discipline. As the 'salvation' of guys like this is not up to us, I'll advise all mothers and guardians to monitor the wardrobe of their kids/teenage daughters and their rapport with grown-up guys. www.womangoodb..com

Patriarchy! Patriarchy here means the dominance of men in our social, government and cultural systems. Our concern is the effects of patriarchy on striving and ambitious women in the country. In Nigeria nowadays, any striving woman would pass through the hostlile patriarchy system at almost every stage of her rise. Only a few make it to the top with their head high up, others that bow to pressure (usually sex) end up as shamed unrespected divas. The ugly effects of patriarchy is well illustrated by the series of news of inhumane practices against women in Islamic states where patriarchy is most prevalent. The causes of patriarchy ranges from the unsupportive attitude of women towards each other to the aggressive and domineering behavior of men. Patriarchy continues to wax stronger in Nigeria and needs to be reduced. Women need to empower one another to retrieve the destiny of the next generation of females from the 'hands' of patriarchy. www.womangoodb..com Lalasticlala |

The publisher of Genevieve magazine, Mrs Betty Irabor, recently made some interesting comments on marriage. She was quoted to have said; "I don't think women should be worried about being unmarried before thirty because many women before that age have not yet gone through the school of life which prepares them for marriage' She added; "A lady over thirty is mature and fully formed. She is not easily fazed by some of the challenges and distractions that could come with marriage" Firstly, I'll like to point out how the woman proved her comment is not true for all. Mrs Betty Irabor reportedly got married at 25 and the marriage is still waxing stronger after over 30 years. With this, I'll like to state that no one can specifically say what will work for another. I've met a lot of women below the age of 30 with an enviable career and marriage. Likewise, I've seen women of over 30 years of age struggling to afford three square meals and yet struggle keep a relationship. Therefore, when God brings you opportunities , don't delay. Age is not always maturity. Wisdom separates the foolish from the wise not age. Some young folks handle what older folks can't cope with. Even at age 23, if you have a good income and a good guy comes your way,do not hesitate. Seek necessary counsel on marriage and pray to God for wisdom. Likewise,if at 30 years,no spouse is around the corner,do not fret. As good as marriage is, it hurts more badly when you desperately enter into a wrong marriage. It must not be a do-or-die affair just to fulfill societal expectations. www.womangoodb..com Cc lalasticlala |

Surrogacy is the practice of being a surrogate mother. A woman who gives birth to a child with the intent to give that child up to at least one of the biological parents once it is born is referred to as a surrogate mother. The whole process usually involve fertilizing a woman's egg using her husband's sperm cell,as in IVF, and implanting the fertilized egg into the uterus of the surrogate mother. The biological parents receive their child at birth after all agreements have been met. In recent times, I've noticed an increase in the number of women experiencing difficulty in bearing a child. As someone with some medical knowledge, most of the problems encountered by this women are either connected with fertilization or implantation. It is however sad and sickening that most women struggle tirelessly till death. The mention of surrogacy alone can cause a major uproar. This is not surprising as most people frown at anything that doesn't comply with their small mind. This is usually as a result of cultural/societal/religious beliefs. I don't even think there is any Biblical or Quranic reference against surrogacy. It's people like 'you' and 'i' that'll lift any 'embargo' placed upon surrogacy. We can't live in this 21st century with a 19th century mindset. This end-time era requires and end-time approach(lol). Surrogacy doesn't have to be expensive as portrayed by celebrities who have reportedly done it. Hospitals should encourage and educate the public and also develop means by which interested women can access potential surrogate mothers. This will help the lower class women to be aware of this opportunity. It is also worthy to note that the surrogate mother can be a relative if possible. It is biologically ok. Women encountering problems with childbearing should not hesitate to consider this procedure. Paying attention to issues like this makes the world a better place. With the level of decline in feminine value, it would be absolutely wicked if everyone is showing no concern. www.womangoodb..com aims at tackling injustice and harsh societal expectations on women, especially the lower class women. The blog is targeted at gender fairness and not some feminism you don't wanna hear lol. The blog is willing to cover various aspects of womanhood ranging from marriage to career, etc. The blog receives input/review from both gender(male and female) and is also open to public opinion. As the blog advances, there are plans to reach out to women in distress and victims (from both gender) of various forms of gender injustice. NOTE: 'womangood' is a modification of 'womanhood' Check my posts and tell me what you feel! |
