I salute the courage of those going through the express entry and wanting to relocate to Canada, I would also like to do the same thing but the question I keep asking myself is, would I get a job when I get there? How sure are we that when we finally get selected for the PR we would be able to secure a job in Canada…it’s just my thought. Maybe am been pessimistic. Is someone in this forum or someone in the forum that has a relative of friend that went through the FSWP that can actually explain what it takes to get a job in Canada because I have not heard of anyone getting a job through the Canadian job bank.
Don't be scared. Obviously looking for a job in any country (civilised countries like Canada and America) can be tedious and hectic and slightly frustrating but the thing you need to understand is the nuances, culture of CV writing and how you behave and talk at interviews. I have an inlaw (Retail Store manager for UGG) in Edmonton, a friend (Rig Operator for Baker Hughes), a couple of friends who work in Banks, an environmental guy (earning 1000dollars a day!). Just be confident in your ability and pray ceaselessly. God will see you through when you eventually get there.

Plenty people went for the interview yesterday yet nobody has posted. From hearsay I hear it was...tough.
Did you use agent? Why? What's the number of chairs in your canteen? Your office address etc. People working in the same office had their answers compared. The interview was inconclusive. They said they would get back to them later.
Somebody plz post your experience!
Not sure why it should be tough if you say you work where you work. As for number of chairs in canteen question if truly people where asked sounds ridiculous to me. Hoping some come out with their experiences good or bad. It helps the whole group. Thanks.

@wordsmithng...tnks so much for your response...I was surprised when I got the mail for the interview. If I may ask, have you been there for the interview before? If yes, where you sent a mail for the medicals after the interview. Tnks for your response!
Don't worry like someone here said just make sure you remember all the details you put down on your forms and maintain eye contact with the interviewer. It's more of an informal meeting than an inquisition. To be honest I think most times they just want to meet the applicant in person to OK it. At the end he told me the visa would be given to me pending medicals. So I am waiting on them to send the medical forms through. Good luck!

Hello guys.. Last year september, I sent my statements of accounts, copies of letters of employment, pay slips for the last 6 months etc based on their request. I received a mail 3 days ago from the canadian high comission in ghana that I should come for an interview, and I should bring along my statements of accts, original copy of my letter of empoyment, my pay slip for the year, my int. Pasport.. Please house what and what should I expect? Anybody who has been there, should kindly share his or her experience.....tnks
Hi there. They will simply be asking you about your job (what you do on a daily basis), they might search through your current account to see that your pay comes in regularly , they will ask you what you intend to do in Canada and how you will quickly settle, and also in the event you are denied what your future plans are. That's it in a nutshell.

Hello House
I am updating my IM0008ENU_2D Application form in other to add my new baby. Under my dependant information on the UCI box, do i still qoute my UCI ?
Yes certainly quote your UCI. I did same when I added my child to it. It simply shows that your form isn't a new application because you have already been given a unique identifier number.

Thx a lot mate.
By the way what hardcopy documents did you bring for the interview?
I brought along;

1. Original Emploment Contract

2. Reference letter from Employer

3. Bank Statements from the last 6 months ( took along my savings and current account statements)

4. Payslips from the last 3 months

5. Original educational certificates

6. Spouses's certificates and 6 months Bank Statement

In all the dude only looked at my current account statement. Wasn't interested in anything else apparently.

I would say use the CSE form to update them on your error and wait to hear from them. Don't take my word as gospel also hear what others think.

Hi Solomon,

I posted this earlier this week. I'll appreciate if you have some guidance to offer pls.:

Hi All,

Quick question please:

In the "Additional Family Information" forms, I inadvertently made some typo errors in the DOB of two of my wife's siblings and completely omitted the details of one of my siblings.f

From what I've observed, the types of updated or additional info requested by AVO varies from person to person.

Having said this, would you advice I use the CSE form from AVO website to inform them about these omissions and request the necessary changes in advance?

NOC - 2241
App. Received - Dec. 5, 2014
DD - Jan. 29, 2015
PER - Feb. 26, 2015

Will appreciate any useful feedback.

Hello everyone,

I have keenly followed events and topics in this house and I must say I am thoroughly impressed with the level of work and commitment shown by everyone here. It is a team effort.

I have a question and it relates to a change in my application (which is the birth of my child last month). Now they have already sent me my PER mail. Was wondering if I can send off a letter to the VO informing them of the birth or do I wait till they send me a MR? Thanks guys.
