See my brother.... You could have been born in any tribe or region in Nigeria and feel like seeing the rest of Nigeria and Nigerians from that view of perspective (be it Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa). But let me tell you something that is true, where you come from don't matter, and your ethnicity should not define your perception about other tribes or regions because you could easily have been there and then you start reasoning and viewing your current ethnicity from the ethnicity mentality of the other side you were born into.

So a quick fix to the menace slowing and same time rapidly destroying us as people of the country Nigeria; is to first see ourselves as Nigerians irrespective of our different ethnicities.... And to always see ourselves as Nigerians no matter what.... And to let the national anthems and the national pledge guild us solely and condition us in our very educated minds to first of all love our Country greatly, and love the people in our country dearly, treating them as family irrespective whatever ethnicity they are or belong to because it is no fault of theirs that they hail from there, but rather they hail from their ethnicity by divine making of the Almighty and All-knowing God. That is why we went to school in the first place, and that is why we are educated... So our education should reflect in our lives and actions.

Division is everywhere my brother but it's foolish to allow division affect the common goal for better living standard.

I spent a lot of time in Yoruba land, I can tell you that many Yoruba clans do not totally agree on some issues. This also happens in Igbo land even within my state in Abia, even within my local government but the ability to manage these division is what matters. For example, as an Igbo man, because I do not agree with an Anambra man in many internal issues does not meant I won't defend Anambra state in nairaland when Yorubas or Hausas come for them. Now our common goal should be how can we but division aside when serious issues are involved.

Do you think that the United states kind of democracy of true federalism and resrouce control at regional level can help mitigate this?

Every region has it's fair share of problems. It's laughable when you talk about tribal bigotry. The Yorubas and hausas and the most accommodating kind of people in this country.
