During the pawpaw season, each cost between #300 to #400 to retailers and #500 to #800 to direct consumers depending on the size.
At off season, you will only be smiling while you make the sales because at this time availability is more important than the price especially to my white (Onyibo) customers

So OP of I had like 5 plots of land and decided to use it all for pawpaw farming, how will I make sales after harvest? Is there like a centralised market for pawpaw where I take the produce to? or I have to source for buyers on my own? And how many trees do you think I can plant on a plot?

I just got an idea while reading your post, one can like even create some sort of elastic shield under each trees so when the a pawpaw or the leaves drops it won't litter the ground, or is there like a special benefits when the pawpaw and leaves drops to the floor and gets rotten?

I will get to marketing down the thread but from my over 8 years experience on pawpaw farming, you will not struggle to sell the fruits in Nigeria of today. People pay upfront at my own price to get the fruit. The market is there

The Hamophrodite Pawpaw has both female and male flowers in one pawpaw tree. This is good except that the yield is not as much as the female Pawpaw. There is always gaps in between the fruits

The female Pawpaw is the best if there is a male one around it. The yield is enormous. There are pawpaw fruits all over the tree since any female flower produced is always pollinated.

The male Pawpaw does not fruit or produce pawpaw. It has a medicinal value which makes it very useful in deworming animals including human beings. Where you get female Pawpaw planted without a male Pawpaw around it, the female Pawpaw can never fruit since no male is around to fertilize it
