Can one apply fertilizer?
Organic manure is the best to provide the fruit nutrients, however fertilizer can be apply in small amount.
The negative effect of fertilizer is that the sweetness of the fruit is reduced and the pawpaw produced cannot last many days in the market without getting spoiled.
Adding organic manure gives the best taste and the fruit can last several day without getting spoiled and that what the sellers want.

I need about 10 interested people to take off. Naturally, this is not an overcrowded proffession

I hold a B.Sc. Geography.

I am a fast learner.

If you are grounded in physics, you're good to go

There is no job is not for candidates with automation skills. After covid 19, there is depletion in the numbers of this Engineers, as a result, the global demand went up and only few are on ground here in Nigeria as many relocated abroad. Many companies kept on recycling job adverts for this position with almost nothing in return.
Only few Nigerians has this skill and over 80% of this position is occupied by Indians.
By next year, Dangote refinery will come on board with hundreds of auxiliary companies, this will put more pressure on this profession which the Indians will take advantage of because Nigerians are not prepared.
I want to let you know as well that foreigners are not ready to allow Nigerians to learn this profession, this is seen in the high cost of training in this field. For example, 5 days training cost over #350k.
One of the bottle neck to this profession is that most of the people operating the training centres here never enter industry much more practicing it, hence Audio Automation Engineers.
This profession is for anybody that has physics background or study any engineering course.
Am Engr Obinna by name, B.Eng (Electrical/Electronics Engineering) Unizik; M. Eng(Control Engineering) Unilorin. Trained by Siemens, Global Training Centre Russia, etc have worked in multinational companies with over 15 year experience.

Unlike some other fruits that has season to bear fruits, Pawpaw can fruit continuously if water and nutrients are made available for it. This I makes it stand out from others

How long does it take for a fully set fruit to ripen? I've got a tree that has numerous large fruits for close to 4 months now but they are yet to ripen

It varies. Many factors plays out but on average, fruiting to ripening is about 6 months

What makes Pawpaw sweet?
Its available nutrients and water. Water is medium to convey the available nutrients to every part of it's body. If nutrients are available and no water, the pawpaw tree will die.
What's source of nutrients?
Manure, compost, fertilizer etc.
For quality result, you need water source especially during the dry season
