In the meeting which finished not quite long, rep of the FG Barbacha Lawal(SFG) pleaded to both NLC, TUC and other bodies who are prepared for the strike to halt and urged them that Deregulation would take effect on Aug 1st of this year...
In a further statement by NLC president Ayuba declared the stress and rigour facing Civil service and other bodies under NLC.....
The SFG said further by pleading on behalf of the President and Vice to hold their peace, and everything will end soon...

When you have American and European multinationals controlling your source of revenue, they can sabotage your economy at will.
Right now there is very little transparency about who really are behind the sabotage of oil infrastructure under the control of multinational companies.
FG should give multinationals an ultimatum to raise production back 2.2mbd or be nationalised immediately. |

FG needs to question every Chevron staff and every contractor. I strongly believe Chevron and other oil multinationals are behind this economic sabotage. It does not surprise if Chevron set these contractors up, in order to distract and divert attention of investigators. ozoigbondu: Communities in Delta state hosting the facilities of Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) have given Nigerian soldiers 72 hours to produce Chevron staff in their custody while dismissing claims by the military that the five persons arrested over the weekend were militants bombing oil and gas facilities in the area. The communities claimed that contrary to the reports, the five alleged militants were actually contract workers for the American oil giants, inspecting earlier bombed pipelines ahead of the visit of the Joint Investigation Visit (JIV) team to inspect the extent of damage when the military troops swooped on them. The communities stated that the workers were with their identification cards and were ferried to the site in Chevron’s boat, adding that their explanations that they were sent for inspection fell on deaf ears as they were taken to the military base at Koko and locked up. To this end, the communities have given Chevron 72 hours to Chevron to effects the release of the said oil workers; else they would withdraw all the surveillance workers, among other workers working for oil firms in the area as their safety were no longer guaranteed. The host communities accused Chevron of paying lip service to arrest of the five community workers, saying that the military was harassing and intimidating community oil workers as Chevron has failed to come to their aid.
Speaking on behalf Oil producing Communities,the Chairman of Kokodiagbene, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, who spoke on behalf of the oil producing communities in the area, expressed dismay over nonchalant attitude of the management of Chevron over the arrest of the alleged five workers branded Avengers.
He said: ‘’It is pertinent to state that we are no longer safe in the hands of security agents going by the constant harassment of our people. We have handed a 72-hour ultimatum to Chevron to ensure the release of those arrested oil workers and if they fail to do this, we will withdraw all our services from all the oil companies including, Shell, Chevron, NPDC and Neconde.
‘’We are not Niger Delta Avengers. We are law abiding citizens of Nigeria and those workers were doing their legitimate work when the JTF pounced on them and arrested them, thereafter proclaiming to the world that they have arrested Avengers. They should adopt more of intelligence in doing their work otherwise they would end up killing innocent people in the communities

Sweet nonsense Litmus: This is why relevant parties shouldn't exaggerate. Nigerian people love to exaggerate the extent of thire suffering and so on. We exagurate the extent of corruption in the Nation compared to the rest of the world and in turn the rest of the world gladly exagurate our corruption. We exagurated the amount of mony embezzled by politicians and exMilitery dictators - one would think that the theft of one hundred Naira isn't corruption enough - and, of course, to really rob in the magnitude of our Nigeria's couroption compared to the rest of the world, the international community backed up our exaggerations. And now that the time has come to return the supposed Billions and thrilons everyone is looking foolish because no such amount s were embezzled in the first place. By the time everyone has return our full money, it may become apparent that Nigeria can do only a little with it because the amount is not great enough. However,Nigerians will not accept that all our mony has been returned -and rightly we shouldn't. They claimed Billions upon Billion were stolen and deposited abroad well they should return those Billions upon Billions. Morale of story is- people should stop exagurating. Things are bad enough without having them exaggerated. We need always to work with hard facts or we'll never get things fixed satisfactorily. |

When you think of the PDP wins in last years general elections, it is purely down to ethinicity of their presidential candidate.
By 2019 a northerner would be their candidate, this would be interesting scenario, because we would then learn, whether the support for party from the south would sustain under northern leadership and presidential candidate.
I see PDP tearing itself to shreds. |

Some power station burn fuel or gas to give light. How come power hoard fuel? I dare to disagree with the analysis;
But better yet,before the fuel scarcity, ever since the stand of insufficient power station supply could always be link to demand for fuel,possibly sponsor by the fuel sellers.Possible.
But for the present state of the economy and fuel availability, power station no get business in the issue at all. |
