Business / Re: 5 Sure Lucrative Online Businesses You Can Start In 2018 by Worldbest281: 4:51pm On Jan 28, 2018
ugojibaby:
If you’re still skeptical about the reliability of online businesses, you need to wake up from your illusion. While the nation slid into a quagmire of unemployment as more people were laid off by companies, earning money online became the succor of many Nigerians

Before we proceed to identifying the types of online businesses that will be lucrative this year, you may want to read the testimonials of nairalanders who succeeded in online businesses.

This nairalander bought her first car from freelancing and moved on to achieve great things for herself. Read her story here: www.nairaland.com/2479987/story-how-bought-car-income

This other nairalander built a house for himself and also bought his first car from an online business! Read his story

here: www.nairaland.com/3224561/how-bought-car-built-house

The most recent testimonial came from this nairalander who achieved financial freedom for himself via mini-importation. Read his inspiring story here: www.nairaland.com/4276191/nairalanders-advice-helped-physically-challenged You will remember that I emphasized these businesses a lot last year. And, if there’s one thing you can guess, it’s that, for every single nairalander who share his/her success story, there are at least 10 others who have equally become successful.

Now that you’re convinced that online businesses are viable, let’s take a brief look at the businesses that will be successful in 2018.

1.. Mini-importation:

Mini importation has transformed many job seekers into entrepreneurs. Even those with jobs are in the business because it’s not time consuming. You can order and import goods right from the comfort of your home on your internet-enabled device. All you need do is look for items that are needed in the local market and import them from China. If you like this business, you can anticipate my post on how you can start the business.

2. Blogging:

While many believe that blogging is a saturated business, it’s really not! Blogging remains a lucrative business as you can earn from adsense, adverts, affiliate marketing and things you sell on your blog. The problem with blogging in Nigeria is that everyone is trying to succeed in crowded niches such as entertainment/celebrity niche. There are other niches with few bloggers which you can delve into. We will discuss this in details in my subsequent posts.

3. Freelancing:

This list cannot be complete without freelancing. Many nairalanders are into freelancing and are making it big time! What is the secret of succeeding in freelancing? You need to have a skill. But to earn money online in 2018, you need to learn new skills aside writing because the supply is greater than population, thereby making competition difficult. Once you have skills that are in demand, you will start earning steady income online. If you don’t have any idea about skills that are most lucrative, you need to watch out for my post where I will make a detailed list about them.

4. Affiliate marketing:

In affiliate marketing, you earn commissions by referring people to buy certain products. You can be an affiliate marketer with several companies. In Nigeria, you can become an affiliate marketer with Jumia and Konga or you can turn to Amazon and ClickBank if you want to deal with international e-commerce websites. Affiliate marketing is a lucrative online business, but like every other business, you need to first learn about it. I will do my best to provide as much information as you need to successfully begin in my future posts.

Mobsync:
I don't think mini importation is as profitable as it used to be. If anything, it even requires substantial capital. Gone were the days when people started mini importation with just 10,000 naira.

Blogging and affiliate marketing are good. In fact, they go hand in hand. While one can do one without the other, affiliate marketing remains a good source of income for a blogger. If you want to make enough money [and not peanuts] from blogging, you need to spend considerable time, effort and money on your blog. If I were to advise a new blogger, I will tell them three things:

1. Don't do copy and paste.

2. Stay away from the entertainment/gossip niche [and maybe, technology and health]. They're saturated already especially that entertainment/gossip niche.

3. Think of your blog as a business and treat it as one.

Lastly, freelancing is a good way to make considerable income online. But you need to be smart and think outside the box. Don't be that freelancer that'll get stuck on looking for $5 jobs on Fiverr.

BTW, Op, you mentioned four and not five.
please how can I start freelancing

Bro, I only have maths and English..

I believe someone among the people you mentioned will send all to you.

Besides, don't you think it's a good advice to focus on your UTME for now?, then you can focus on the post UTME after you finish the UTME.
Since UTME score was used in the last admission process, there might use it this year.. so you know, high score in UTME might really help in the future.

Just saying tho.
please send me English and maths too and if anyone get physics, chemistry too please

Sports / See The Amazing Way Ronaldo's Sister Motivated Him Following His Poor Form by Worldbest281: 3:44pm On Jan 16, 2018
Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, Katia Aveiro, has sent an emotional message to Portugal captain with the aim of keeping him motivated as his on-field struggles continue.
Ronaldo had yet another poor performance on Saturday, January 13, as Real were beaten 1-0 by Villarreal at the Bernabeu.
The 32-year-old has come in for criticism, leading to more speculation that this could be his last season in the Spanish capital.
But despite the many troubles of the Los Blancos star man, his sister Katia Aveiro has taken to Instagram to pen a heartfelt letter to the 32-year-old.

She wrote: "It was only this that I wanted to tell you, Cristiano,"
"When you were twelve years old you arrived in Lisbon full of tears and hopes you said you were just a child from Madeira.
"In less than five years you were playing in the Sporting first team and they said you were just a skilled freak. A few months later, you signed up for Manchester United.
"When you arrived in England, they said you were one for the future but in six seasons you scored 118 goals.
"When Real Madrid bought you, they said you were just a name to sell shirts, but since 2009 you have already scored 422 goals in 418 games and you have already achieved practically all the records you had to beat in the club.
"In 2008, you received the first Ballon d'Or, and they said you would only win that, but you've already won four more.
"As captain of the national team, they said you were just a captain without charisma, without a spirit of leadership and yet in 2016, you were the first Portuguese to lift the European Championship.
"Now, because you haven't scored in two or three matches, they say that you are just another player at the end of your career, almost finished, on a descending curve. Don't worry.

Why can't the sane world learn from the Japanese??

I want a country where Islam is ban! mosques demolish and Muslims kicked out of the country - giving them a chance to abandon their cult of course.

JAPAN has NO TROUBLE at all with Islam: 1 mosque in the entire country, 10,000 Muslims in a population of 130 million; Muslims not allowed to own property or evangelise and are deported the minute they do something Islamic, such as protesting about Japanese culture.

Can't we LEARN something from the Japanese?

Before any mod move to hide this post let's us be clear to ourselves here, I have written fact!
this is Nigeria not Japan, let that enter your skull...I stand with Islam, I stand with justice

Celebrities / LASG Announces Diversion Of Traffic For Olamide “OLIC’’ Concert by Worldbest281: 12:21pm On Dec 16, 2017
The Lagos State government has announced the diversion of traffic for the hip-hop singer, Olamide’s annual Olamide Live in Concert (OLIC), fourth edition.

The concert will take place tomorrow at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere in Lagos.

According to the organisers, the concert will start by 12 p.m and end by 6 p.m.

However, to ensure a stress-free vehicular movement, the Lagos State Traffic Management (LATSMA) announced that some sections of the roads leading to the stadium would be closed to vehicular movement.

Speaking on the traffic diversion, the Head of Operations, LASTMA Headquarters, Mr Adeoye Oluyemi, said his team would ensure a seamless traffic operation.

“We are out to ensure a free traffic situation on that day. We are well aware of the influx of vehicles for the concert, so we are well prepared ahead of it.

“Men from the operations will be stationed at strategic places to ensure free movement of vehicles before, during and after the concert,” he said.

Earlier, Oluyemi had said traffic would be diverted at crucial locations starting from 6 a.m.

“Alhaji Masha Road will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions between the National Stadium intersection and Shitta Flyover.

“All U-turns and left turns under the Stadium Bridge are prohibited to vehicular movement during this period, except for the VVIPs coming from Alaka and proceeding towards the VVIP Car Park 1.

“The service lanes on Funsho Williams Avenue are open to traffic, but motorists are advised to keep to the main carriage or expressway to navigate their journey through Stadium Bridge.

“There are two main car parks for motorist on that day: the general car park will be the National Stadium. It will also accommodate the VIP, while VVIP will use the Teslim Balogun Stadium,” he said.

Oluyemi said alternative routes had been provided for the closed routes to ensure the free-flow of traffic for the day.

Meanwhile, the organisers of the 4th Olamide Live in Concert “OLIC4’’ has said the concert was expected to have about 25,000 people in attendance.

The manager, Mr Alex Okeke, gave the indication on the sidelines of the news conference heralding the activities lined up for one of the biggest concerts in Lagos.

Olamide came into the entertainment scene in 2011 with his debut album “Rapsodi’’, which was mainly tunes in Yoruba language and thereafter signed for a record label YBNL.

In November 2013, Olamide released one of the most sold out albums ever,  named “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth’’ and followed it by “Durosoke’’ and “Yemi my Lover’’.

Olamide, became the first Nigerian to sign an endorsement deal with a private company. Ciroc.
